No... I did all my C64 gaming at my best friends house. I had a Spectrum, myself. 'Football Manager' was the only manager title I remember from those days. Emlyn Hughes International Soccer, and Matchday II were the FIFA and Pro Evo of the day. :)
There's quite a few decent C64 youtubers. (Although I can't think of any off top of my head). Pretty sure I subscribed to one or two. Well if it’s any consolation, as an Arsenal fan I still regard that 34 years on as the greatest moment in our history, greater than going the season unbeaten. Liverpool were a tremendous team, Barnes, Aldridge, Rush, Beardsley, Grobbelar, McMahon, Houghton, Hansen etc. I can imagine it was heartbreaking for Liverpool given how well they’d played from January onwards, and what had happened six weeks earlier. That said since you posted, Liverpool won the title again three years ago, and must say as Arsenal fan was pleased for them

You couldn't write that stuff. Utterly incredible. The more I heard David Pleat the more I realized why he couldn't keep a job. The man was satisified with 2nd place.
"Agueeeerrrrrooo" has got nothing on this kids, sorry. My first season, were they trying to get me hooked or something?! Never dreamt I would get to feel the pain of losing the title on the last day, but 7years later.
On 88 minutes Liverpool should have taken the ball into the corner to wind the clock down. A surprising bit of inexperience there for a team as good as Liverpool were. They probably thought they'd score to equalise which would have won them the league. If they had their time over again they would have just played keep ball for a minute or so.
19/20 football teams featured at some point in this video, but not even 3 seconds shown of luton town, even in their matches with arsenal, Liverpool, Utd, norwich, etc.
StFidjnr I went to watch United play there that season which was shown on this video and it was uncomfortable to say the least often wonder if the dick who was in charge of the semi final was in charge the day I went would it have happened then
There might have been a London Underground strike so they couldn't make it to Euston for the train north, either that or there was a massive rave in Essex that night !!

I went to that game and it was pissing down so nobody stood right at the front still 39,000 there though most clubs would love attendances like that
