I've gone to Michigan twice for the NASCAR Weekend (2010 and 2013) And we went to the museum both times, all the Roush NASCAR drivers are there along with Jack and Susan for an autograph session. A lot of the old NASCAR vehicles I saw over a decade ago are still in there. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area.
the thing I dread with TG presenters and 'guests' that they talk to, is that they don't let the guest finish their story before butting in with something else. A+ for consistency here.
I had the pleasure of visiting this SUPERB museum a few months ago, and HANDS DOWN, the BEST FREE AUTO MUSEUM I HAVE EVER VISITED. CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH!!!!!
Speaking as one of the people being interviewed I didn't mind it so much. This is easily one of the longest video interviews I've ever done, Ollie knew I was particularly nervous, and him asking me little questions and making quips probably resulted in a lot less "umms" and stuttering than there would have been otherwise. These guys are pros and it was really impressive to watch them craft this on the fly
I agree. Dude needs to take a pause and learn. I get it's all American car history and he's British but it doesn't seem like he knows very much or is genuinely enthused to be there
The story of Jack's plane crash in a lake, being saved by a guy who was the only one who saw the plane go in the lake. He jumped in a boat (we was by the dock) and this guy Larry Hicks happened to be a retired Navy SEAL, who retired due to terminal cancer. The story is just incredible!! 😯
I went to this place once when i lived in metro Detroit. Some of the NASCAR Cup cars I saw there were never cleaned up after their last race. Cool place
I know you only touched on the more important vehicles in the collection, but was there any talks about the OBS F150 that was in the background around the 5 min mark? I’d love to know the history on that.
How do you go to that collection and NOT show and talk about those late 80's and 90's Trans Am cars? Of all the race cars in that collection, those are the proper race cars.
Are you not giving more details on the Indigo for crying out loud!! Child memories playing need 4 speed II, Italdesign, Isetta, F1 was the best car, and to this day I dream of getting a 355 because of that game and The Rock movie
You've found one of my favorite things to do in Metro Detroit. It's crazy how accessible it is. Also, that "Chrysler" concept is a stillborn revival of the Cunningham brand; to my recollection Chrysler had nothing to do with it.

Even if they wanted a cursory donation, it's worth it, especially if you dig Ford performance history, 80s Trans Am stuff, and so on...
Wow. After listening to Jack's accident story I bet that man has been in church every Sunday since. God bless brother. That's amazing.
The world's best free car museum is right. It's an underrated secret.
Ollie Kew,, talk less, listen more. Let the man with the knowledge talk - and stop interrupting his flow. Time was short (?) but still.

Roush is a legend. I went to high school in Livonia and raced on Telegraph in rust-bucket 1969 Mustangs in the late 70’s. A blast from the past.

Ford sierra cosworth, and ford rs 200 👌👌👌

Ford doesn't really do "numbers matching" anyway. FOMOCO wasn't concerned at all with it.
