I've made this so many times now. Coworkers and customers at work are both like, "I dont like these type of cookies from the grocery store or even the Cheryl's Cookies version, but I love this one!!" Me too! I thought I already loved the version I get from like Walmart or whatever for the holidays, and idk what Cheryl's Cookies are, never had them, but omg this one is sooooo good! The only different thing I've done is I guess roll it into a log so I just put in the the fridge and cut it into slices once hard enough to cut into. Now i have frozen on hand for anytime cuz it's even good with or without the frosting 😋
Glad to have a recipe for these. They used to be so good from the grocery store, but now they’re so sweet and have no flavor. Definitely going to try these!!
Thanks to you, I learned about this awesome mixer! It's worth the money because you just dump everything as needed. Also, don't know why I hadn't gotten these notifications but I'll adjust it again. Missed your knowledge of science in this recipe.... Try not to do it again... 🤣🤣🤣 Joking aside, I love learning so I can avoid errors. And you explain the how to do and what not to do.... Thank you! 💗💗💗
Thank you sooooo much for this recipe. I'm so glad I followed you awhile ago. One of my sons is going to be extremely happy I can make these now. I tried to figure the recipe out before and couldn't.
Hey liz can you make a video showing all the cake supplies you use. Not just basics. I want everything. Even sculpted cake supplies. Like how the icing artist has a link to all the supplies she uses and where she buys it. Not just for the cake she made in that video but all the cakes she has ever made. Please love you, liz. Please read my email and send me an email back🎂💖
How great! I’m hoping to ask a question unrelated. Is a sponge cake ok to cover in fondant? I’m getting conflicting information and trust your answer. Thank you for answering if you can.
I recommend that you use margarine to get the most authentic flavor, but if you don’t have it or don’t want to use margarine, you can just use 8 oz of butter. In baking, butter should always be unsalted. And in this recipe you need to soften the butter so that it mixes well with the rest of the ingredients. Hope this helps!
@@SugarGeekShow Couldn't you just chilled the dough as a flattened whole disk and then roll it out to 1/2" and use cookie cutters? The recipe says to chill the dough balls anyways and then form into flat disks.
In your recipes, I usually see that you have a metal bowl for your Bosch. I have a Bosch too, but I don’t have a metal bowl... do I need one???? Thanks!

What chocolate do you use for brownies?
Can’t get margarine here. Can i use shortening?
Is there measurements?
Looks delicious 🤤 Can I use a cookie cutter for this recipe?
Yup! You can use any cookie cutter or if you want just a plain circle but you don’t have a plain circle cutter you can use a cup!
Can I use more butter instead of margarine .?
Yes you sure can
Could someone p,ease explain to me why 4 oz. of softened butter + 4 oz of unsalted butter. I don’t understand. Thanks.

Could I make cutouts with this recipe?
Not with this because the dough is super soft

I have all the ingredients except cream of tartar is necessary??
Nope :)
@@SugarGeekShow thank you 🙏🏻
YOU CAN MAKE THESE?!?!?
In your recipes, I usually see that you have a metal bowl for your Bosch. I have a Bosch too, but I don’t have a metal bowl... do I need one???? Thanks!
A metal bowl works best for making meringues, macarons or swiss meringue buttercream, but you don't need one to make a lot of recipes :)
Missing the most important ingredient. The sour cream.
ya lost me at margarine
Get the recipe and more info on the blog! sugargeekshow.com/recipe/original-lofthouse-cookie-recipe/
Did anyone else actually make these? The icing is a drippy mess, I’m guessing too much milk?
Please people just use grams not those annoying cups or spoons or ounces 😭😅
This looks delicious.....
..........can you please look at my Gmail please and answer.
