I understand exactly what she’s saying! I used to do cold showers and loved them but hadn’t recognised that by standing in the cold I was controlling my nervous system! Thank you for reminding me to start them again. Toni 😊

Sweet! Welcome Back to the tube. Hot/cold exposers have been a thing in my camp for some years now. I never thought about the positive effects on concussions, which I've had many due to motorcycle racing. A few were sustained in your area at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb. As always, useful, healing information.

Do we need 25 minutes to tell us to turn the shower to cold?

I actually enjoyed to hear the why and how and the details about the experience. The kind of things that help me decide whether to give a tool a try or not.

I'm sorry for the pain you are in. About my own, maybe it is indeed less than yours, or maybe it's equal or worse, we can't be sure unless we measure and I wouldn't even know what unit to use for that.
What I do know is that what I've learned from Renee is that the way we think about pain, and anything unpleasant, unwanted, unexpected has an incredible impact and importance.
What I've learned from her has already made my life better. Some people might prefer a different approach though, and to be honest, I wouldn't have been able to get it 3 years ago.
Hope you find the approach that works for you.
