It's mindblowing to me that I've actually recently been jamming this tune non stop and then I come on UA-cam to check my subscriptions and you come over here and absolutely kill this song. Troy, you're the man!
You need to go viral dude. Finally a UA-cam drummer who does complicated stuff and not all 4/4 time signatures. Plus you actually know music, which is good. There's some popular drummers on UA-cam who are so boring to watch and no idea about music or drumming. They just hit the drums, thankfully you're not one of them.
I come and watch your videos, and think every time how crazy good you are. One day I will have the time, to maybe get half as good as you. Never stop doing what you do. Your inspiration to a lot of drummers. Thank you for sharing your talents.
This is my favorite track from the new Volumes record, specifically because it uses odd signatures in a really catchy way. Keep up the incredible work- not only the tight drumming, but fantastic production.
Holy shit, absolutely nailed it. That tom section near the middle completely stumped me and you just made it look like it was nothing! Nicely done man.
The song itself isn't really my taste, but the original drum parts as well as your playing along to it are totally incredible! I think it's a real feat to make this rhythmic and aggressive feeling sound so fluid
I'mTheDrummer Honestly I haven't heard that album and I don't know which drummers played for them, but calculating infinity had the sickest grooves as I recall. Especially a song called 43% burnt. HOLY SHIT that song dude!!!
Sick as hell, man! Also, to answer the question in the description, '91367' is the zip code of Woodland Hills, CA. Most (if not all) zip codes in California start with a 9 (90210 for Beverly Hills, for example). Volumes hails from California (Los Angeles, to be exact), so my guess is that it's a shoutout to the area. I could be wrong, though.
When I noticed a 5 digit song on the album I was like "I wonder if this is Volumes' zip code, cuz they would totally do that" haha. I wonder if the actual guys are generally from Woodland Hills and they just list LA since it's more commerical.
Hi Troy, I've been watching your videos for a while now. Love your broad abilities with progressive time signatures. Any chance you take requests? If so, can you cover Tool's Rosetta Stoned or The Grudge... then again any Tool song would be great! Keep up the amazing work.
Great work! #VTEAM
Went to check for new live videos from Volumes, found the best meshuggah medley drummer playing this. Best sick day ever.

Very well played Agent 47. Time to get back to your mission now.

i'm not a huge fan of volumes, but you can't deny the awesomeness of this groovy song. so upbeat and dancey, i love it
Holy shit, absolutely nailed it. That tom section near the middle completely stumped me and you just made it look like it was nothing! Nicely done man.

You are such a skilled and great drummer. I could only dream of ever being in a band with you.
Awesome cover, as always man, and the reason it's called 91367 is because that is the zip code for where the band is from in Los Angeles, California.
So glad you chose this tune, hits fuckin hard.
Some of the best form I've ever seen

Please play some Dillinger Escape Plan!
That would be GREAT especially from the first album "calculating infinity" !
kolob ibiri I'd love to see him do anything off of One of Us is the Killer! I love Billy, but I prefer Sharone overall.
I'mTheDrummer Honestly I haven't heard that album and I don't know which drummers played for them, but calculating infinity had the sickest grooves as I recall. Especially a song called 43% burnt. HOLY SHIT that song dude!!!

LOVING IT!
Quick question Troy. Have you ever broken a Paragon china before?
yes but only from the edge like a crash
Troy Wright Okay, thanks. I was just curious as too how durable they are because i'm thinking of getting one and I know that they are realy thin.
Troy Wright
How did your Zen China hold up? You had one of those, right? *almost* got one but was surprised by how thin it felt.
nailed it for sure
Any chance we can get a drums only version of this?
id love to see you do some Slipknot like disasterpiece or sulfur. rely any slipknot that had joey jordison going hard. Much respect man!
Nice foot technique @ 2:25 !!

Troy (or anyone who knows), just wondering what you use to mount the ozone over the china. Superb video as always!
It's a pearl rack mount high hat boom stand. I think it's a 930c or c930

Awesome cover, Troy! I was wondering when you'd get around to making another one! haha Is that a new snare head I see? :D
Hi Troy, I've been watching your videos for a while now. Love your broad abilities with progressive time signatures. Any chance you take requests? If so, can you cover Tool's Rosetta Stoned or The Grudge... then again any Tool song would be great! Keep up the amazing work.
Just wondering if you like Devildriver and if so, you should definitely play one of their songs!
You should do a cover of Subject Zero from Veil Of Maya, awesome cover btw!
Fuck yeah! Those drums sound killer
In this music has a cleary Meshuggah's influence
Definitely. I can really hear it.
its progressive metal. Everything in prog metal has a messhuggah influence
goldbagel Well not necessarily. Meshuggah is probably one of the oldest bands that do progressive metal, their older music is crazy
Simply n.1
Its been a while!
Badass !
Drumless version coming soon Troy?
You should drum for Plini when he goes on tour. That would be v sick.
Insane
