    I think people..... including myself... are so mesmerized by his talent, that the song takes a back seat. This is indicative of the applause too. They don’t know WHAT to think because he’s so mythically good, that they freak out once the song has ended regardless what happens during the song. Hahaha, so interesting to watch! Not sure I’ve ever seen this type of psychological response to music in my 38 years on this earth... but maybe I’m just young and know nothing! Very probable 😊

    Sa façon d'approcher l'harmonie est unique, incroyablement spontanée et d'une richesse que seuls quelques noms de la musique moderne peuvent se targuer de posséder au plus profond de leur cœur et le délivrer aux oreilles du monde sans compter. Un être humain singulier dont le sien de nom est déjà gravé à jamais dans la pierre.

      My two cents: I opened this video and the audio quality was so glaringly bad that I immediately checked if my headphones were plugged in properly, and then checked with songs I already had in my library (which sounded just fine). So it's definitely the video that has bad quality (regardless of whose fault it is) and not "Check your audio system"; that was a pointless and uncalled for recommendation. The Dutch version sounds fine.

    • @Ccvanl4
      @Ccvanl4  4 роки тому +2

      I recorded this from BBC Four on July 19, 2018 (Prom 7 in the Royal Albert Hall). The Qwest concert was given at the Tivoli theater in Utrecht, the Netherlands on August 24, 2018. The atmosphere in London was considerably better. Musically speaking, Jacob and the Metropole do deliver the same quality in Utrecht. I don't know a method to record Qwest programs. Screencapture software can do it, but the quality is often not great. Kind regards, Ccvanl4.

    why does he sound like swedish chef?

    • @Ccvanl4
      @Ccvanl4  3 роки тому

      A few times a year I get a comment about the bad sound of this recording. Here in the Netherlands - the homeland of the Metropole Orkest - it sounds perfect. I've tried everything, but haven't found a solution. Does it depend on the country, the provider, the download speed, a VPN or censorship? The video has now been viewed almost 25,000 and I estimate that about 40 viewers have a Swedish chef in their house. An unsolved riddle.
      Try the Tivoli version of the same song on my UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/video/1snE1KwFzmQ/v-deo.html
      That recording seems to sound like hi-fi to everyone. If you have any idea about the Swedish effect yourself, I'd love to hear it. I always post the highest quality picture and sound and it bothers me that some people can't take advantage of that. Sorry for the inconvenience. Kind regards, Ccvanl.

      He has more energy in his pinkie than . . . well, YOU know. Instead of being a lively entertainer, which he can do in his sleep, he's actually focussing on being an an awesome musician/pianist which is his forte. Plus he shows respect and true musicianship by letting the guest singers, Take 6, stand out, rather than stealing the show with antics, while accompanying them with gorgeous piano stylings.
