Always enjoy videos of this neat little railroad. It is amazing that it served so many industries scattered all over. It is appreciated that Mr Purchase captured the videos of it.
I know! I was surprised about that as well! He captured quite a bit. I am still going through some of his footage on the C&C. Just posted another one a few minutes ago.
Main Street. Claremont NH on the bridge over the sugar river, looking east the train is coming from union street turning onto main. The building at right, at end of bridge by the stopped auto, was Eserskys, a former hardware store, the bigger building on the left was a mill at one time, Presto Grain.
on google earth street view coordinates would be 43°22' 31.90"N 72°20'44.54"W you could also go to google maps and in street view, you can select a few dates going back to 2008 although it looks the same as it does today as in 2008.

I was in my teen years at that time. My Grandfather used to work on the Contoocook Section of the Concord & Claremont Line.
That had to be around the 1950s I am guessing.
Claremont, N.H.!!! For a small town, it had tracks everywhere, from this RR. Almost magical-- from a different time. All gone now.
I know, it's truly sad.
I worked the B&A side back in the 70's, and it could get pretty cold. I got cold watching the beginning of this clip
No kidding?!?! Were you a trainman? I think many others had the same feeling because that's what I was thinking as well! 😂

@@tomp8871 I'm sure you must've saw a lot on the B&A!
It's nice to see this. I was in my 20s in the 70s.
I was born n Claremont and lived there over 40 years.
I am always happy to restore memories to visual form!
Just this past year I saw them remove some track along Route 12 in West Claremont. Too bad. What a Gem !
I know, I don't understand it either. For me personally I find it to be very upsetting.
Look at all that snow!
I know, it's amazing!
Wow !
Great film! Any idea of which street 1:32 is at? I wonder what that street looks like today.
