I hope the 850 goes that smoothly. The rear are drums but I kept one assembled to use as a guide. I have new calipers and all new hoses. Brake lines too and new rotors. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew.
Your stated that in the beginning of your video "you can do the same on all four"..... the front caliper piston pushed by C clamp.... However the back caliper piston required turning and the slide on the rear caliper piston on horizontal position... Not vertical .... Thank you for your video
I can do that! We will be replacing almost all the parts on our rear axle soon as parts are starting to arrive. That will be in a future episode for sure then!
Dude, the first thing you want to do is to soak everything is soapy water to prevent the asbestos from becoming airborne, getting into your lungs and ruining your life. Same for clutch work. Old cars have asbestos in friction material, gaskets, insulation material,...
Great video. I’m starting on my 82 Barn find this month. You will be a great reference source! Subscribed👍🏼
Thank you for the support! I hope I can get you the right info and resources as we do this build! Welcome to the channel!
Nice easy quick tip job!

It’s not too complicated. Very similar design.
@@GarageTimeTV Do the new pads go in easy? The anti-rattle springs don't seem to want to let them fit.
@@dennisjump8655 it should be very easy. Don’t be afraid to press down and into the springs
@@GarageTimeTV Thanks
@@dennisjump8655 the springs need tension to keep them held tight

You didn't cover the refitting? How should you compress the piston back in? With a straight G clamp, or does it rotate in with the rotating tool?
The front calipers are pressed back in with a C clamp. The rears need to be turned clockwise to have them go back in.
Let's see you change the rear CALIPER

As cheap as Fiat rotors are and as easy as they are to change I’m surprised you didn’t replace them.
They are definitely being replaced! I was removing the entire front suspension, so I did this as I was in that process.
Smallest. Brake pads. Ever. Do I have to implement a "mask mandate"?? 🤣
Y’all worry too much 😂
