I have a single pothos Vine that I got from a plant and I put it in soil and it's growing long out of the pot but no new Vines are coming up out of the soil or anything. How do I make like vines come up out of the soil like I see in big plants with a bunch of vines coming out of the same area in the soil? do I have to somehow plant more vines?
@@marshwiggleme I'm afraid to take a cutting because I only have the one that line coming out and I don't want it to stop growing you know? I'll try to find another plant that is a smaller pothos like the one that I have and sneak a little cutting hehe. I have a larger pothos in a pot and there's so many leaves coming out of the center where it originally is growing and I just wonder why the other one doesn't do that. But I got them that way.
lifesaverrrr, i unintentionally neglected my devils ivy for a long time so it got all messed up and scraggly lol. i hope this'll work and bring it back to life again!
This video is annoying. “Locate the scar” but doesn’t SHOW a scar. What is the difference between a scar and a node? “Trim the tip”. Does that mean cut off the newest leaves?? Which way is “above” the node - towards the base or towards the tip? What is the point of a VIDEO if you don’t SHOW what you are talking about? I am no better informed how to trim the pothos than I was when I started this video. I am only more frustrated.
They literally give a description as well as a photo of scissors placed where they are referring to. In other words, they did exactly what your complaining they didn’t do 😂
The node should be left on the plant you’re pruning, as the new leaves will grow out of them! However, if you want to use your cuttings leave some nodes (or one) on that as well to propagate, as the node grows roots!
As a newb watching a few videos, most do not clearly show where to cut.. the secret to make pathos more bushy... Is just adding more pathos.

@@kona702 I'm the Newby! But yeah I think pretty much you take cutting, let them root and pop them back in the pot.

@@zer4575 SURE DID!! ive been having to cut it down lots nowadays but it grows so well. i gave lots of propagations to my friends and family.

Helpful video! When you say to cut above the node, does that mean the stem should include the node, or exclude it?

I just repotted some stems today. She definitely needs a more thorough trim but I filled her bald spot 😂
