    In the age of influencers sharing only golden amazing moments and not always real moments, this was refreshing. Don't feel like it's taking advantage posting things like this when you tell the story so well and are really just sharing a genuine moment with us. It helps others see the other side of life, and especially helps people see that it's OK to be vulnerable and that these things eventually pass and we can move on with our lives.
    Thanks for the great content!

I am curious what you thought of the experience and what was your recovery time from your surgery. How are you now? I hope you are recuperating very well and will be back to your old self real soon. Thanks so much! I’m so sorry you have heart issues so young but it does sound like you have been doing so well. Hey Levi! Glad you made this video. I remember way back in the spring of 1981 my youngest brother was 7 and had his Aorta repaired. He had a coarctation of the Aorta where it narrows for some unknown reason. They couldn't replace the section altogether because of where it was in relation to a major vein so they patched it like an innertube on a bike. Back then the surgery took a full 8 hrs and wasn't completely covered by our Ontario Healthcare Plan, it was still what they considered 'experimental'! That day was one of the longest days in my life, I was 12 and I think the worry aged my parents at least 10 years so I know what your parents went through with this surgery! Now he's heading towards 50 and the surgery they said he would likely have to have to enlarge the patch has never had to happen-yet! You are so lucky that they were able to identify what was going on with you and be able to maintain your health. All the best in your healing and yes, no pulling on anything in the trailer, time for you to supervise for a while!

    Hi Levi! I was born with a congenital heart disease and have been in and our of hospitals my whole life. I got transferred from the kids hospital to the general hospital when I was 18 and that was a big change. There are not a lot of adults under 40 in the waiting rooms, at the cardiac clinics, etc. It was an intimidating environment and also felt invalidating in a way since you don’t “look” like someone with a heart condition.

    Hello Levi and Leah! I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I just started watching your channel last week when I was searching for videos on BigFoot campers, and I came across your videos. I binge watched them all, as we're thinking about buying a BigFoot. I was amazed to see that you're in Nanaimo, as that is where I am too! Don't feel bad about sharing your video about your heart surgery. That is a part of your life, and your channel follows your journeys through your life. I'm sure that your subscribers care about what happens to you. I have a UA-cam channel as well, and I shared with my viewers that I had to undergo a biopsy to see if I had skin cancer. (I had had it before, and both I and my doctor believed that I did have it again.) I was shocked to learn that the growth came back as benign! YAY!!! I will be updating my viewers with the good news in my next video. 😃 Take it easy and let your body heal. I look forward to watching your videos. Take care, Julie from My Wonderful BC Life 🥰

    As someone with complete heart block and with a pacemaker, I really appreciate the authenticity in this video, getting real, and being honest with how serious these things can be. It is stressful! I couldn't imagine being alone before and after the operation, that's really brave of you. I had surgery in two different locations about a year ago so this hits home for me. As stupid as this may sound and as much as this sucks, it is almost cathartic to see another active young-ish person who has a happy lifestyle and is doing fun things regardless of their condition. It makes me feel a lot less alone in my experience :) I am so glad the operation went well and am wishing Levi a smooth and speedy recovery

    Thanks for sharing your story. I stumbled upon y'alls channel while researching tips for camping with my Gen 3 Prius, and I was not expecting to be able to relate like this. I have HCM and had my first ICD implanted 23 years ago when I was 8. Those first few weeks of recovery where the ICD is, like, sliding up and down inside of you is so strange! It's awesome that you have this experience and manage to have such an adventurous life in the outdoors! I married into a family that loves the outdoors and have found immense peace and joy in it as a "heart disease friendly" activity. I've particularly enjoyed swimming in natural water as I had an incident of my machine shocking me unnecessarily due to EMI being in a public swimming pool with light fixtures. Amazing how this video reminded me that my CareLink came in the mail a couple days ago and I should probably set it up haha. Anyways, I've enjoyed all of y'alls content, and thanks for sharing your story! I've seen first hand how sharing our experiences has been helpful to others who are scared or uncertain, so please know that you did a good thing sharing this.

    I hope you're on the mend by the time you read this. I can definitely sympathise with the 'shutting down' go going back into hospital and the feeling of being pulled back in time when you're back in hospital years later. When you talked about whether including this experience was the correct thing to do, it really made me think about the demands that having a YT channel and feeling the need to churn out content every week regardless of 'real life'. Anyway that led to me thinking about how on earth you are going to have time to do anything in the weeks after the baby is born, and so I wondered if it would be helpful to have a few ideas that might not require extra filming, just VoiceOver and/or a piece to camera that you could produce more easily / do in advance and release when you're up to your necks in nappies (diapers) and baby puke - I've been there twice now and could barely remember my own name, let alone how to turn on a camera! Anyway, a few ideas;
    - A compilation of the evolution of your channel from early days until now, leading into what the next 'chapter' will be like with the new addition
    - An explanation of what your filming kit / set up looks like, using old examples - kit, upgrades, bare minimum etc.
    - How and why you decided to do the spin offs into the 'proof' channels and how that has changed the main channel content
    - Leah's view, as the non-pro, on filming (incl. those bits in the camper a few months back when she was filming herself without Levi)
    - How do you feel about doing 'to-camera' pieces in public places? Do you get embarrassed, how do you approach it?
    - Leah's view on how her 'academic' understanding of the female body has changed now that she's pregnant. Did the text books get it right? What would she want other pregnant women to know that she didn't know (or only knew intellectually).
    Anyway, best of luck to you both, and sorry for sounding so personally invested; but I've been watching you guys for years so it feels like checking in with friends (sorry if that's weird!)

    Levi this came up in my recommended. It’s been a few weeks since you’ve had this done. I wanted to encourage you to talk more about your heart condition. My son (17 years old) was born with Heart disease and you have no idea how many people you may encourage with your story and sharing. I can’t relate to what my son goes through, but you do. You give me a perspective I wouldn’t otherwise see. So thank you.

    Thanks so much for making this, Levi! Even it it felt weird, or cheap or whatever. In April 2020, I discovered I also have LongQT when I experience cardiac arrest in my sleep and I ended up in the hospital at the literal height of Covid. Being only three years in, I have yet to have a battery replacement, so this was really helpful for me so I can know what to expect from those future procedures.
