i miss cargo pants and shorts. thanks to this band for reminding me of the clothes i somehow lost since high school. have to buy some. now on with the show.
I saw them in Nashville a couple years ago having never seen them live before, they opened the show with this song and proceeded to blow my mind for their entire set
So lovely.. And this from a dude who loves prog rock and the folk-inspired music of bands like Renaissance. Just proves that, when it comes to music, it is all in the presentation, the arrangement and the..well, SPIRIT of it all.
The purpose of genre is, as in all forms of art, being able to encapsulate many ideas into a single word in order to communicate it more easily. But it's often not enough to fully describe a rich piece of art :)
Not that the whole song isn't amazing, but I think my favorite part of this live version is those low F notes just ringing out on the beginning. Holy. Fucking. Shit.
@@diogopinto9462 i can agree with you, but dude, gojira does everything metal the right way........ ....ON A 6 STRING! But yeah in general meshuggah could be the heaviest band here, its just I'm probably not realizing it. I'm pretty new to them so......
America should've dropped Meshuggah on Hiroshima and Nagasaki instead of nukes. It has the same affect and the only casualties would be small rodents and birds that get too close
@uralltoolbags they seem to be more reserved, I can see a lot of hands in the air; it seems a lot of them enjoyed what Meshuggah brought to the table. Oh and don't act like the U.S. women never used to shave before.. It has been difficult for the U.S. and Japan to have a huge influence on each other since they are not close to each other and each culture is very different so some aspects of Japan might seem more advanced, but they fall short some years in the U.S. and vice versa..
One of the most menacing and brutal songs from Meshuggah 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 they busted the richter scale and scared godzilla back into the pacific ocean
This is really mean song, their war ensemble.

Is somekind of nu-metal style.

i think it proves that genre isn't real, and does more harm than good

It was so heavy it killed all the whales.
WARNING THIS IS REAL!!!!!
Welcome to the Super Bowl of metal....only thing is only one team plays today \,,/
This is straight up CHAOS IN ITS GLORY. I can hear the sound of destruction in my ears and I love it. This one is a tornado of a song.
Bass always heavy as fuck. My favorite band.
That crowd had no idea how to deal with Meshuggah. It's similar to Marty McFly playing guitat back in 1955
These guys are amazing
I love this band because of the guitar and their rythm....lovely
@ 2:55 - "Vile, ever-menacing inteeaaaaaaaaant! Jens has lost nothing in his voice.

Dude literally all the videos on Alive have similar eerie feedback noise which I love
Love this track

DominantBeast meshuggh was formed before primus.

that's just as helpful without a disclaimer
LOL when you see them live there's no disclaimer at all. You can get hit in the face at any moment.
Amen.
Sound and energy wise this is the video that comes to closest to their actual live performances imo. Just fucking insane.
I would totally headbang the shit out of this song............If I could only find the downbeats. :-P
You can do it!
Daaaamn I would kill to bring these guys to a concert here
DAT FUCKING SNARE BRO

Question: Does Gojira ever play in Japan? And is so, do the people run too or from them?
Gojira is too scared to play in japan, after Meshuggah played there.
Who is gojira ?
@@diogopinto9462 heavist band in the universe

It went so heavy at 4:25 Japan mistook it for a 9.2 earthquake.
Or was this the REAL reason their nuclear power plant exploded?

It amazes me how popular metal is in Japan. To bad they all just kinda stand there.
They see it as polite they are also VERY quiet
To be honest that's exactly what I'd do. Sit down with a beer and enjoy this shit
What u think about Japan man ! They always ahead of u 😁
@TheJen66 I cant say the same about my country, I´m jelaous ;D

Дима Кукаринцев But Sweden did not nuke Hiroshima...it looks like you are probably Russian, so it's OK.
Mitchell S. are you fucking high? Where the tie between Swedish band and American war operation?
it's not noise when meshuggah does it.

It's their thing. If you watch some The GazettE or Dir en Grey lives, they listen to the music, not killing eachother with their pits or penises.
Yes but Lewis Hamilton is better
Fucking best live band ever!! But the crowed sucks.
Gojira would disapprove.... lol
the whole video is noise, that makes perfect sense.
0:53 skip the noise and get to the music already
