Jamie FYD's review of the Mk8 Golf R including driving is here:
• NEW *VW GOLF R MK8* RE...
In this video I take a detailed look at the new Mk8 VW Golf R. There is no driving in this video because this car is being sold by Crewe Volkswagen as a brand new car. However seeing as most comments about this car seem to be about the looks, the interior and the technology rather than the way it does or doesn't drive, I thought it would be a good chance to cover these areas in detail and save driving for when a fully run-in car comes my way, whenever that maybe. - Авто та транспорт
While the touch controls are complicated for the sake of newness it’s just something you’ll get used to and well worth it for the performance. I’ll be buying one when they hit the states, manual of course since we have the option. It’s been my affordable dream car since the mk6 and now I can finally afford one I am beyond excited for this version. Personally I think they did a great job with it. I’ll drive it till it’s dead.
Love this!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Fair play to VW - they have made a real effort with the R and listened to customers whom wanted a more sporty appearance/dynamics. Adding drift mode is a bit at odds with a car that was always about all weather traction. ..but I guess more conservative buyers will plump for the S3. The price is a talking point. Cars go up, wages have stayed roughly stagnant, people moan at VW, but they’ll just charge whatever they can get away with.
I disagree, far more boxy rear quarter, and the front end looks like it’s melted. I’m really not a fan. The 7.5 is far more a sporty shape.
@@Charside The GTI and TCR I would agree. The Old R though......
Sporty appearance?? Only comes in a five door! How is that sporty? Massively disappointed in how it looks. They should just relaunch the 7.5 with a facelift 😂
@@Christophergriffiths1972 maybe if people actually bought 3drs, VW would still make them !
@@lewisratford2908 😂😂😂
the prices are ridiculous, i do not understand how vw can say this car is worth over £45k, its ridiculous.
€68,000 in Ireland, you can spec it close to €80,000 ...ridiculous !!
They dont seem to have a problem selling them though. Probably not a model for the masses anyway really.
When did you last buy a new high performance hot hatch?
Let's hope they do lease deals at £200pm like the mk7 eh! 😬
@@Chris-nj1mr you can lease anything for £200 a month if you put in enough deposit.
I think the car looks great from the outside but can’t help but feel the inside doesn’t live up to a car that expensive. Leather seats would make a big difference
Leather seats too expensive
Hate the high back also , terrible sests
If I was ordering one the performance pack is a must on the R for me
Unusually for VW, that option seems like decent value
19 inc wheels
Big spoiler
Drift mode
'Ring mode
Raised top speed limiter
all for £2k!
@@volkswizard
The design of the rear spoiler really suits the R, it’s abit disappointing they haven’t put it on all of them like the clubsport. I am looking forward to your video on the drive
@@volkswizard is the diff different or is it just software
100% ☝️
I’m waiting on mine to arrive in Q3. It’s my first VW and I’m excitedly nervous 😬 they aren’t coming to Canada until September.
That back end 😍 that dash 💩sorry but I’m not a fan of that digital dash
It’s ok, doesn’t make me want to get rid of my mk7 R and spend the extra on one of these.
Not a big fan of the front end and infotainment and instrument cluster layout. I will keep my Mk 7.5 R for now.
Same!!
So in the mk8, there’s no soft limiter?
Also would a TCR be better value for money if you looking to buy a Golf?
Great video. I just can't stand those "touch" controls. Madness. You actually had to look up to the ceiling to see where to swipe your finger. I think the interior looks cheap... the blue bits of leather? look awful. Youngsters might like it, but to my 40-something eyes, it all just looks a bit naff.
It is a step down from the 7. The mistake VW made was giving us an Audi level interior last time around!
Hi Rob, actually the sunroof control is in a recess which your finger will find without looking. It might take a day or two to learn but VW have thought about this.
Mk6 Golf had the nicest interior in my opinion
Cos you’re too old, get a Volvo estate old man
@@gpzfan5272 I've just bought a mk7.5 GTi performance, with heater knobs, it'll do me fine thanks.
Just picked up my Moonstone grey clubsport last week and it's awesome. Ive had Rs for the last 8 years but the Clubsport just looks and feels more exciting.
Always enjoy these videos! I saw what I presumed was my local VW dealers new demo arrive this week - whether it will be for sale rather be registered and go on their fleet, I'm not sure after seeing this video. Can't help but thinking the finer touches on the car are a bit lacking personally, especially given the asking price, but there we go.
Also, please say you're not selling the TCR?!
Thanks Jonathan! TCR is not going anywhere unless finances force my hand or the new car makes it redundant. We shall see!
I personally don't like it. All digital displays, interior looks tacky. Exterior looks even worse. Mk7 much better looking. Engine is the same EA888. All they've done is tune the engine basically. 100% torque to 1 rear wheel now?? Ok that's nice but it still has no proper mechanical LSD or capable of sending 100% to BOTH rear wheels simultaneously.. Mk7 with a tune & better tires is a better buy and save a lot of $$ get similar performance.
The engine is the ea888 evo 4. The turbo is not the same. Its an bigger Continental turbo.
@@gtiak274 even worse when a new turbo only gets you a add. of 20 HP.... imo
@@gtiak274 only 15kw upgrade in power from the 7.5R with "evo 4" Ea888 and "continental turbo"??? So you are telling me they put a different turbo on this and its only a 15kw or less power bump? WOW that's even worse. This is not an evolution its just VW marketing speak. I'm not a hater I own a VW. But "evo 4" means nothing to me its the same BLOCK, SAME HEAD.. The power bump is hardly anything from previous model. Just purely software tunes. VW could of upgraded the 7.5r AWD system if they wanted to but instead trickle it over to the MK8 R. This is what VW group does, they will keep the same engine, same block, same head EA888 and run with it until they move to electric hybrid. They will trickle "updates" so people upgrade to a newer model. Lets see when the the MK8.5 R comes in 2-3 years ect. It'll have the same EA888 engine with more power (oh you dont say!?!)... maybe 250kw ect. Just software tuning and a few other little updates. They've been doing this strategy for years and it works. But lets not claim this is a massively different car to the 7R, because its not aside from INTERIOR and the BODY shape. Next proper engine upgrade will be electric hybrid. So I refer back to my original argument, better value to be found buying a 7 or 7.5 used and tune it with a APR (or any other notable brands) and get more power, better driveability, upgrade your tires. Also a much nicer cleaner traditional interior (that's subjective i suppose). Can even put a stiffer sway bar at the back if you really want to lesson understeer. My thoughts is that the MK8 R is not worthy to upgrade if you own a 7 or 7.5 or even if you are in the market for a VWR, id consider buying used with low km - same performance save lots of $$.
They lost the 2nd set of injectors on the post WLTP mk7.5 R so they need to make up for that as the later 7.5R lost 10bhp. The 7R and first 7.5R had 2 injector rails with 4 injectors on each rail the second set helped keep the valves clean and prevent top ends coking up especially on rubbish US low RON fuel. 94 is about as high as you can find in the US unlike Europe where 99 is commonly found.
A spare wheel is an option. What the heck?
Thought that’s normal on the Golf.. same on many Audis
Been like that since the mid 2010s for most cars mate
spare whell is standard eqiupment in r line golf 8 still do not understand why it is not normal on r strange
As long as it isn't charged extra for the option. I think it's mental so many cars don't come with one these days.
@@dreamcrusher112 Probably even earlier my 2010 plate Car just has tyre weld
I like the rear but the front and interior still leaves me cold, I won't be changing my 7.5 R for one. The R line has better looking seats due to being darker imho. I'd rather get the new S3 saloon next.
The headlights are Disgusting haha
Ditto - the interior in particular is dreadful for this price point - sticking with my 7.5 for sure.
Very good video Andrew. I am a little disappointed with the the R spec on first viewing. Lapis blue is definitely long in tooth. Reflex silver or Black for sure. Vw USA offers the Colour Spektrum range. Everything from Gingster yellow to Mars Red which would be stunning too.
Sadly, here in the states the Spektrum option was only offered in 2019 and it was a complete disaster. For whatever reason, VW could not fulfill orders and many were cancelled.
A must is 19’s... and I’m old fashioned I want buttons not touch screen nonsense. I’d be going through loads of micro fibre cloths
I do in my Mk7.5 anyway so it's nothing new, although that car has a handly locker for it under headlight switch which Mk8 has lost....
Half a bar of boost just idling? I see VW decided to continue to not address accounting for atmospheric pressure and the over excited boost gauge issue that's been around a couple generations now.
Always was a golf fan, but my MK7 GTI clubsport 3 doors will be my last. They fucked up the golf.
Is there no number plate holder for the front bumper any more?
They drill into the bumper and fit one
I deffo would consider the new S3 over the Mk8.. The inside of the MK8 isn’t appealing and also the outside. No buttons just using your finger to slide.. Easily will be distraction when using these features..
I like the S3 but it needs lots of options to make it the car I’d want, and these put the price high

Why spend 40k on a car that's quieter, more numb and made of cheaper materials than a 20k equivalent. Even the new s3 has the exact same bumpers as a normal a3 lol
@@coops111s My future plan is this, I'd rather spend 28K max and get a hatchback like a golf R or s3 which sounds nice and looks nice. Why spend 30K+ on a car which pumps engine noise and sounds crap, I'm keeping the car I get until the new rs3 comes out and also drops in price and of course do stuff to the OPF.
Tactile buttons that click when pressed are the best and easier to navigate whilst driving and maintaining concentration. Looking down at the button for which one to slide to... VW what f4ck have you done with this car
The Club Sport has the same inflection on the front grill too. Just pointing out an inaccuracy
I noticed that too.
This man has gone out and bought a GTI Clubsport I'm telling you.
You were damn right haha
The side skirt with the upswept rear section looks very max power.
The cockpit looks much less cossetting and seems like the dash has been thinned out.
The wheels are too small and too narrow.
The side profile looks like a Peugeot 308.
I cant warm to the mk8.
Nice car shame about costs cutting to make the R bit more specal
I don’t like how the fenders doesn’t flare out a bit like the mk7. It ruins the car dimensions and makes it look boxy!
I wonder if VW fixed their water leak issue with their sunroof.
Brilliant video, I have had my eye on the mk8 r as my next car, online the interior looks good but the interior looks poor in the flesh and cheap. I think maybe deleting the hard buttons have acutally saved vw a bag full of cash. The seats are also ripped straight from the r line and tbh the r line seat colours are better.
DCC should come as standard, leather seats heated, plus the extra driving modes and the larger wing. Still plenty of options to add on top of this for vw to earn extra coin. It's a 40k car!
It's got to be one hell of a drive to make up in these short falls.
Nice car, Andrew. Must admit I have more of an interest in the Clubsport - that's the one that is growing on me at present, GTi handling with nearly the same power as the R. My heart and my head are battling as to whether to get rid of the S3 for a Clubsport.......!!
I think the Clubsport isn't perfect but with the discounts available it's a lot of car for the money. I do think R will have moved the game on too from 7/7.5 but CS could all you need
As a MK7 R owner I'm inclined to agree, new GTI Clubsport looks the better buy.
I thought the 1st rule of buying a new car is to never buy the very 1st year run??
Until the glitches and gremlins are fixed.
Which here we have plenty like the lagy screens.

@@volkswizard 🤔..... I thought the PRETORIA made the R LOOK road ready but that,s just ME
Same, they look like cheap Hyundai rims
I think the Mk8 looks a bit nicer than the Mk7 body styling. The interior is cheap and nasty for a Golf
Who gives the go ahead on the design on alloys at vw over the last few years!👎
Sadly I was once a VW driver for over 20 years while in Europe, now in the U.S. things have changed. For what you pay for this beauty you could get an 2022 Audi S3.
The 7.5 looks so much better. The designers of the MK8 really have lost the plot.
I think quality is the problem. It looks cheaper.
The MK8 is,except the digital component, in every way better than the MK7/7.5
@@dill8498 look at the front end and tell me that again with a straight face
@@lethalpenguin61 yep, with a straight face! Matter of taste in terms of design, and it‘s way better driving. Just go for a testride and you know what I mean :)
I'd agree with the exception of the front end. It looks like they took the excess bumpers from their 2009 Jettas and decided to paste them onto the GTI. I will likely upgrade from my MK7.5 to a MK8 but I'm absolutely swapping in a different front end. They fucked up and no one wants to tell their boss that it was a bad decision and now they're too far invested.
Volkswizard!!! Help!!! I just bought a brand new 2022 VW Golf GTI here in the states. My left driver’s side mirror (sorry I know you’re country is opposite) has a blurred or double vision effect when glancing back at traffic. The right side passenger is crystal clear. I e seen forums of different car make’s owners complaining of the same issue. Is there a reason for this? Or is it defective? Have you experienced this on your car? Thanks.
Hey there, that sounds very odd, I've never seen a car with an issue like that. Could it be a bad batch of mirror glass?
Lools great and sounds fine even without the Prformance Pack and Akrapovic. IMHO the must have option is DCC to get the most of the driving dynamics. The rest is up to your budget.
There is the 'black pack' makes mirrors black, at least for Irish market. I didn't go for it, want the chrome mirrors :)
My question is.. for similar price - a new Mercedes A45 or the golf r?
Need to drive both ideally but I need to spend some time with Merc, even just sitting in it could help decide but bear in mind R starts at £39k, A45 is £50k so tricky one
this is the base R?
There is no other R at the moment
Nice overview. Have to say, those seats are awful looking, Clubsport look much better, IMO. This is the flagship model. I’d have to add the leather, but that an expensive option, I’d also need that spoiler, so add performance pack...yet more money, that’s the issue here, cost.
It's true, Clubsport out the box is OK, just get some wheels, you even get the spoiler FOC and you only need £785 DCC to get the 'ring mode. R is all about options unfortunately.
@@volkswizard pushes price into LCT territory too which means to pay 3 times more than you would on a sub-40k car
Terrible.
The only car from VW i would still consider would be an UP Gti .
Everything else is too big, too expensive, too much touch crap.
The car looks good but the issue for me is stuff like the the touch controls.
give them time and you get used to them. It's really only the climate control that's different to Golf 7.5 and when you get used to it, it's a lot cleverer
Is every car nowadays made out of just 90% plastic? Also that's a really ugly front end. Those Germans have been drinking too much beer.
They left the gas struts out the mk8 to help pay for the diesel gate compensations 😄
Maybe they paid for the extra bonnet catch over the 7.5? Or the illuminated door handles? Or the bigger brakes that were part of a £2k Performance Pack on 7.5R. Or the wireless phone charging and CarPlay. Or the 3 way climate control for rear seat users. It's easy to focus on the negatives but it's a bit unfair to pick on one thing and state kit has been stripped out when it's also been added in other areas. I'd much rather have the additional stuff that's useful than a bonnet stay people rarely use.
Can you still use the small gear stick to change gear in manual mode? I used the stick a lot in my mark 7 instead of the paddles 🤔just a strange fad I had.
I don't think you can but the paddles stay live for longer now
In the market for a 7.5 r and even taking the price out the equation still prefer the 7.5,it's now starting to not even resemble a golf
Nice overview. Your spot on about the Lapis blue. I don't understand what people like about that colour. And the strange thing is most people will order it
Black just makes it look like a standard golf like the rest of the mk8 range, and white is just boring

Two minor things that bother me : Massive wheel arches and the plastic engine cover. I am sure its a great car and everyone is hyped up about the drift mode. Looking forward to your review
Well done andrew a great video I am glad that lead was useful and you have managed to see one in the flesh such a lovely looking car my choice would be that colour the lapiz blue
You could see what Volkswagen mean that’s the 8 styling is more evolutionary with that car against the 7.5R
I love the 8 as you know I have a very early UK model 8 and also have had the 7.5 prior look forward to hearing more about the one you order!
Thanks Daniel 👍
The waist line ending higher at the boot just makes the rear profile of the car looks taller than squat that the 7R looks...boo...will take me a while to get used too...
I think the Performance Pack spoiler helps the rear a lot
I see. Can't wait to see it in real life myself!
Just doesnt look special or that different from any other Mk8 really. I know it's about being subtle but thats close to boring. Ill stick with my Up GTi for now.
thanks for all that you do .. I dig your presentations. Is it possible in future vids to elaborate on ESC modes, like when and how is best to apply it on/off and partial settings. Also elaborate deeper into the VAQ and it's performance/function/application. And then also DCC .. I've heard that VW's got it's own tech in the DCC setup giving active damping in addition to separate defining modes of stiffness. In one of your older vids you talk of the 'ring mode' setup in DCC with everything set in Race/Sport and the suspension in comfort. I wish VW would give 2 individual mode options, maybe in the Mk8's they do? I like to put everything in sport with the suspension in normal in my Mk7 GLi ..
Thanks!
Hey S 23, thanks for your very interesting comment! DCC is definitely constantly adaptive hence the 'D' for dynamic. Mk8 Performance pack and Clubsport with DCC both get the new 'ring mode set up by racing driver Benny Leuchter. As before these will be mostly aggressive settings apart from dampers which will be set to soft.
@@volkswizard rad! I think VW is calling the newer gen DCC R .. with the new slider adjustments in the infotainment screen. 'ring' mode? short for Nurburgring I assume, it took me a sec to figure that out after watching Benny's record lap vid. Thanks again
The black colour just makes it looks like a standard 1.5 golf.
There's more to the R than the colour but I agree it makes it more stealthy which is part of the appeal of black
@@volkswizard I agree. But if I’m spending £40k > on a golf I want it to look the part, if only a bit.
I've ordered one and I'm lucky that it is due to be built in a few weeks so not much of a wait. I've stuck with the 18's, I know they're not as good as the 19's but it keeps the price bracket under the 40k road tax bracket, it won't be as harsh on the pot holed roads and I'm leasing the car. Looking forward to getting it and looking forward to your driving review.
Hi Johnnathan, how did you manage that? When did you place your order? I guess you must be in the UK to mention £40k tax. I bet you are rightly very excited.
@@volkswizard just lucky I guess. Yeah I'm in the UK, I ordered on 11th Jan and the order was accepted at the factory on the 12th. It was given build week 8 last week so very happy. Love the R! Even this base spec looks quite near. Performance pack is way cooler though.
And someone has to fit Pretoria‘s to a Mk8 R. Curious on how that looks...
thanks for the thorough overview!
I really like this R, though the Club Sport seems to be the one I would buy. The MK8 looks fresh, though a bit estate-ish from the rear 3/4 view.
A couple questions:
-Are the lit aluminum sills gone?
-How much did they save with the plain engine cover and no hood struts? Ugh....
-Is there lining in the glove box and door pockets?
Love your channel!
Hey HTW! Thanks for the kind words.
The Mk7 never had aluminium sill covers, the lit bit was set into the plastic on the inner side of the sill. I've just checked and can't see them but the ambient lighting is now in the dash and in the back doors (in 7 and 7.5 it was only in doors) so I'd say that was a net gain.
I think the sills one can pack up as people stand on them so probably no bad thing.
Door pockets and lined, glovebox isn't but I might get mine done if I buy one.
Stunning car and a great peak around it, thanks Andrew. A mark 8 R is a must and a natural progression for you. A note and possibly of little interest, the deep black pearl on my short lived T-Roc R line was so soft it scratched walking past it and without touching it. Okay, a touch exaggerated but it was so easy to mark. Insects and bird lime that wasn’t tough or left unduly long etched into the lacquer coat. I’d personally avoid black despite how beautiful it looks new and clean. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Oh no! I don't like blue, black is hard work and white looks a bit cheap. I know full well the black will be a PITA as my Clubsport S needed a machine polished when I wiped the bugs off it with a microfibre. If only they did a silver :)
Agreed, a great pity VW have limited the colours to the palette they have. As you own white I’d be tempted to go blue despite your reservations and past experience. It is still a lovely classy colour and may help residuals when you come to sell as it is distinctly ‘R’. Add the 19s and get a ceramic coat and you’ll have a beautiful car on your hands.
Glad I jumped on a MK7.5
Can you get the nav in between dials like on mk7.5?

Will the new R be limited production?as that was what shopped me buying a mk7 R it never felt special enough over the GTI and they are so common.
There is no way VW will limit numbers of this car as it's a bit of a cash cow for them at 50% more than R line for not an awful lot. However they are quite heavy on emissions so VW will need to sell a lot of EVs to maintain the 95g/km fleet average demanded by the EU. I am sure the RRP of the R includes money to pay the fine which can be £1500 per car. So they will want to sell quite a few but maybe not as many as before.
@@volkswizard Thanks very much for your reply, it is a shame as it does make it less desirable personally. It bugs me the direction VW has been going, as a huge VW fan the brand excites me less and less these days😔
Was that white mk7.5 a sportwagen body? I've only seen the standard variant
We don't call is that here in the UK. It's the same body as any other variant but with sportier bumpers. Officially it's a Golf R Estate here (300 PS AWD 7 speed DSG only)

Are the displays in the Mk8 that laggy in person or is it just on camera? They look more laggy than the 7.5

Great video Andrew - loving the mk 8 content and looking forward to them arriving down under - GTI Clubsport I think would be my pick of current range - but I can’t decide what colour I like most yet - 1.4 with 8 speed torque converter auto base spec so a metallic red GTI is on my wish list I think :)

Agreed. It looks good but not sporty enough, is it too squared off and upright? (Like an estate!)
Looks nice but interior feels cheap
Hey Andrew! Great Video, as usual! The New Golf R is nice looking, still understated, but that’s a good thing. Not sure how I like the interior controls, but it’s modern technology and it’ll probably grow on me as more cars come that way! Be cool to here your impressions on the drive, when you get yours or are able to review a new owners car. Wish they had better color options, black, white and Lapis blue, but I’m guessing that’s what most customers want! No imagination! Ah, well, be safe and enjoy the drive!
Thanks Michael! Hopefully more colours will come in time but I think VW want the R to stand out from the rest of range and keeping colours restricted does that
Nice video Andrew. This is the same spec I looked at yesterday and send to you on Twitter. Must be a generic MK8 R spec... I really liked it though. Thanks for the video, Oliver👍
Hey Oliver, yes there do seem to be quite a few of those cars around. In fact I saw surprised to see a black one with 19s on UA-cam at Corkills VW which I think is Wigan. ua-cam.com/video/3YHcN0YMNzs/v-deo.html
Only In German that Golf R mk8 use Akrapovic Exhaust for the Stock?
I think it's optional in all markets isn't it? It's £3000 here!
it is 4200 CHF in Switzerland ... whitch is arround 4000 Euros
Ordered mine with a great spec, can’t wait to get it, the 7.5 is outdated, it’s been a great car but I love change!
What a beauty
Not a big fan of the new interior layout. Prefer the old 7.5
Andrew, I don’t want to be a party pooper but I’m a bit confused. We have a 7.5 GTI but we need to change our other car as it’s being returned at the end of its lease. We have been told by MB, Volvo and Audi that we can’t sit inside cars at all on their sites (nor test drive) due to COVID restrictions. Was this a special concession you had or was it simply not an issue with VW Crewe?
Special concession subject to temperature check, hand sanitising before touching the car and thorough sanitising after (as mentioned in the video). Think of me as an unpaid contractor at Crewe rather than a customer.
@@volkswizard Got it and understood - thx. Work like yours helps but I really want to touch those pesky haptic switches!
Mk7.5 for me alllllllllll day
Certainly looks good, even with the 18's! I hope they increase the colour choice to include Reflex Silver 🙏. Really suits the GTI models and very disappointing to have just three choices on the top spec model...
id not w8 for the mk8 golf r just get the s3 and done better steering wheel butons imo
Yeah but it's so boring to look at, 90% S line. And they are taking liberties with carpet quality both in boot and cabin. No, nice car etc but not as desirable oddly. Plus I expect R to drive a lot better.
I bought the m135i brand new and kinda wishing I had chosen the golf r now, looks amazing
No no no. Enjoy your beamer. You made a good choice 👍
Went for a quick spin and I take back my comment 😂 such a nice car though the golf especially with the upgraded alloys and the akrapovic exhaust
Great video. Crewe VW is just up the road from me. I don't like it at all. The standard seats & wheels look horrible, Lapiz now looks dated, and its far far too expensive for what it is. I'll stick with my 7.5 GTD for now. In my opinion a better option would be the Cupra Ateca. It would be great if you could do a review of one of these to see what your opinion was.
Absolute great video Andrew, hmmm Golf GTI Clubsport or R. I like them both, but will have to see.. thanks for sharing this video. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it Musti 👍👍👍
I wouldn't wait 6 weeks for a golf, let alone 6 months, you can dress it up as much as you want, but it's just a golf.
If I was sinking £40k into a car it wouldn't be a hatch back, I would be going for something like a used Nissan gtr, the problem you have when you drive a hot hatch is, you can't just say you drive a golf or focus, you have to add the last bit on, to set you apart from the from the people that drive a standard golf, but if you say you drive a gtr or a 911, you don't need to add anything else on, they have already got the message.
You are absolutely right, massively overpriced list price. Tend to buy a car based upon what I like and no what it may look/sound to others tho tbh.
Got to say Crewe Volkswagen have got this covid thing sorted they took our temperature before we could enter then had to clean our hands. They are shit at registering cars but that’s another story 😉
Oh well, I guess COVID is a huge issue, registering cars isn't so glad you agree they are on it
Nice update like the Golf R with the PDK
And a fair bit faster than the old one...
Yet another excellent video! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
I think the Clubsport GTI is more “exiting”. I would get a well specced Clubsport and save the cash for a PPF or ceramic coating.
If you had to choose between the Clubsport and the R, which one would you go for?
A GTI should always be more visceral than the R but it will be interesting to see if the gap has closed or widened between 7.5 TCR and R and Mk8 CS and R. I don't think either is a bad choice
I am planning to pull the trigger late this year because I have no choice. Once it gets to USA with the 6 MT..
Ty for making my day and following me back on Instagram. My handle is Romancer_ I hope your channel continues to reach success.
