I manage to get homeschool (core subjects) done in a total of about 2 hours with my 2nd grader, 1st grader, and Kindergartener together. Looking forward to your upcoming videos! I would love tips on developing a more consistent homeschool routine and how not to be a curriculum junkie lol. That is what I struggle with the most! Blessings!
Hi! Do you ever run into days where your children just don’t want to do homeschool work? How do you handle those days? How do you motivate a uncooperative child?
Yes, definitely! First, try to identify why they are uncooperative. Are they not understanding something? Feeling discouraged? Something going on that is causing stress? Are they just hungry? Or being lazy? There’s different responses for different causes. Sometimes we do rewards to motivate or discipline if they are being purposely lazy. We try taking a break from the subject they are stalling on and try it again later. Setting a timer helps some kids to focus for shorter time blocks. But it comes down to how your individual children respond to different actions on your part. Hope that helps!
5th grade, usually takes around the 3-4 hr mark, depending on what all the co-op has us doing. we usually work right through it all with out a break unless we get a later start and run into lunch time, if that happens we break for lunch then continue until finished. I would love to see how you do the block time.
I’d have to disagree with the high school hours...at this stage, you have options to do some credits in 8th(foreign language, science) loading up 9-10th (can be done by noon) and then 11-12th working, interning, ACT prep, elective loves,volunteer...plus more mom time at this stage🥰.
How many hours per day does it take for YOU to homeschool?

Hello. I will be homeschooling my children due to me being on the road full time.
Wishing you the best!

What would you say is more realistic for you? I don’t have high schoolers yet, so this is what I gathered from other people. ☺️
You're beautiful
