I'm sure that if you can afford an apple laptop, you can buy a cheap USB hub. Not everyone wants USB A ports, and if you do, just buy something else. Quit whining.
The thin, light and portable design is immediately sabotaged by having to use a usb hub. 70% of accessories still dont even use USB C ports. But yes of course the port looks more attractive, what a practical perspective.

If you bring them in for repairs, they throw out the old one and hand you a new one. Are they doing a lot of recycling behind the scenes that I'm not aware of?

I took my macbook pro with retina display (from 2013) in to an apple store today because it wasn't charging anymore. Apple was going to charge me a flat rate for labor and order the new mag safe charging port for my mac. In the end we actually learned that it was my charger cord that was bad and the problem was solved. I know a lot of people have bad experiences with their devices being fixed or replaced by apple but surprisingly I have had decent experiences in the closest apple store.
Sometimes when the world gets too crazy and dramatic, and I need to relax I come here. Maybe I’m just a weirdo, but I find something so relaxing and refreshing about this channel. Just reviewing tech. No drama (ish). No gossip( about humans). We’re just here to know about the latest cool thing. Much respect

Thing is, these Mac laptops will last you a decade. The price eventually doesn't become an issue, what you're paying for is a really reliable machine for most people.

Now if iPhone had USB-C and expandable storage support. Anyway I don’t think this is _for most people_ nor does it have a balanced price. It’s expensive. If I had the money I’d probably get the iPad Pro with the keyboard and Apple Pencil. If I wanted a laptop, I’d get a Windows 10 machine that I can upgrade/replace components.

It's funny people claim the MacBook Air is expensive... I'm looking at base model of $1200. When I compare similar Windows laptops... they are all equally as expensive...and many times more so! Especially if you are wanting SSD-only solution, instead of hybrid HDD/SDD. **Plus** the fact that when you look at Amazon reviews for these Windows laptops.... SOOOO many people are reporting problems with trackpad, keyboard, bricking. I think you are actually getting a steal when you buy a MacBook because the overall quality level is higher. (Yes, any laptop can have problems.... but your chances of problems are much less with a MacBook.) It's a great value.

Most, if not all windows laptops at that price point come with a quad core and even a discrete graphics card. While Apple products may have a high build quality, windows laptops can also be well built. Almost all windows laptops that cost over $600 come with an ssd.
David Huang I see the cost for the MacBook is very reasonable for what all your getting. Not the mention the trackpad is an extremely nice experience compared with windows laptops. Not to mention copy/paste on clipboard between iPhone and MacBook. You get what you pay for most of the time and a $800 windows pc will be lacking by a value of about $400 or more compared to the $1200 MacBook.

Yes, it has its restrictions, Yes, apple are retarded, yes, it's overpriced, but the machine in itself is very good. It might not be as powerful, but what it lacks in hardware, it makes up for in software. Damn, you're going to have a hard time finding a smoother overall experience than on a macbook. I have the Razer Blade Stealth and MacBook Pro. I have since returned my razor as I prefer Mac OS, use final cut and noticed no performance difference. On top of that the screen broke on the razer and that was the final straw. On paper the razer may be better, but from experience the Mac wins hands down.

I actually talked to apple support and asked if they had plans to lower the price, they basically told me don't buy the MacBook 12inch, the MacBook Air is better in almost every way for 100 dollars less. So yea feel bad for the people who got screwed over by buying it before.
I would say Huawei MateBook X Pro is the best laptop for most people. I have one and I love it. But of course if you are into Mac OS, the Air is pretty decent.

I picked up a 2015 MacBook Pro with retina display a year ago for $640 and its great. SD card slot, mag safe, HDMI, USB ports and with nice keys and nearly the same bells and whistles as this MacBook Air. Best part about a new apple product is more affordably buying their older products.

Most people use computers to get things done (or entertain themselves) and don't want to major in software tweaking and troubleshooting (which is my problem with windows too, way too many unexpected problems and instabilities that make it untrustworthy). While Macs are expensive, they save me so much time and effort in the long run. Android is just as good as IOS. Just wish this was true for PC as well.

(HP EliteBook 8460p) and i don't have any problems with it whatsoever. (I only used it for watching youtube videos, web browsing, typical school assignments and playing light flash games on sites like kongregate and newgrounds)

I have 13 inch 2015 MacBook pro. It has the best track pad I've ever used. It's actually good and doesn't make me hate myself. The build quality feels premium unlike most plastic windows machines. And it doesn't come with a ton of bloatware I need to uninstall. There are benefits to Apple products that people don't talk about. People are simple and only see price/performance ratios.

This is what I don't like about apple users, they compare premium macs to cheap windows and think it's a fair match. Compare the air to the HP Spectre or the Dell XPS 13 and you'll see that for the same price you can get all those great things you listed plus better specs and more versatility.

It's funny people claim the MacBook Air is expensive... I'm looking at base model of $1200. When I compare similar Windows laptops... they are all equally as expensive...and many times more so! Especially if you are wanting SSD-only solution, instead of hybrid HDD/SDD. **Plus** the fact that when you look at Amazon reviews for these Windows laptops.... SOOOO many people are reporting problems with trackpad, keyboard, bricking. I think you are actually getting a steal when you buy a MacBook because the overall quality level is higher. (Yes, any laptop can have problems.... but your chances of problems are much less with a MacBook.) It's a great value.

Most, if not all windows laptops at that price point come with a quad core and even a discrete graphics card. While Apple products may have a high build quality, windows laptops can also be well built. Almost all windows laptops that cost over $600 come with an ssd.
David Huang I see the cost for the MacBook is very reasonable for what all your getting. Not the mention the trackpad is an extremely nice experience compared with windows laptops. Not to mention copy/paste on clipboard between iPhone and MacBook. You get what you pay for most of the time and a $800 windows pc will be lacking by a value of about $400 or more compared to the $1200 MacBook.

It might not be as powerful, but what it lacks in hardware, it makes up for in software. Damn, you're going to have a hard time finding a smoother overall experience than on a macbook. I bought a Razer Blade Stealth for about the same price as a MacBook and imo, it outperforms MacBooks by a lot and is a well built ultra book.

I have the Razer Blade Stealth and MacBook Pro. I have since returned my razor as I prefer Mac OS, use final cut and noticed no performance difference. On top of that the screen broke on the razer and that was the final straw. On paper the razer may be better, but from experience the Mac wins hands down.

I picked up a 2015 MacBook Pro with retina display a year ago for $640 and its great. SD card slot, mag safe, HDMI, USB ports and with nice keys and nearly the same bells and whistles as this MacBook Air. Best part about a new apple product is more affordably buying their older products.
Macbooks can run virtual machines can iPad Pro do that? I've never owned an iPad ever, but everyone in my family has had them for 5+ years now.

Most people use computers to get things done (or entertain themselves) and don't want to major in software tweaking and troubleshooting (which is my problem with windows too, way too many unexpected problems and instabilities that make it untrustworthy).
While Macs are expensive, they save me so much time and effort in the long run.
Android is just as good as IOS. Just wish this was true for PC as well.

(HP EliteBook 8460p) and i don't have any problems with it whatsoever. I have 13 inch 2015 MacBook pro. It has the best track pad I've ever used. It's actually good and doesn't make me hate myself. The build quality feels premium unlike most plastic windows machines. And it doesn't come with a ton of bloatware I need to uninstall. There are benefits to Apple products that people don't talk about. People are simple and only see price/performance ratios.

This is what I don't like about apple users, they compare premium macs to cheap windows and think it's a fair match. Compare the air to the HP Spectre or the Dell XPS 13 and you'll see that for the same price you can get all those great things you listed plus better specs and more versatility.
