@@FingalPersson modern virtuosos don't play exactly like this, but utilize the same techniques and play with very clean tones. Ichika Nito and Yvette Young are two that I think of off the top of my head
So here is the thing. I did play guitar ever since i was 6 years old, but I only learned by ear, same for drums, then later piano but didn't really know how to play the piano, then started learning by ear the piano for real with chords in 2017 thanks to knowing chords on guitar. But my skills honestly staggered and I eventually sold my electric guitars and had none for 10 years before buying guitars again very recently while also attending a 14 hour semester for music theory which did evolve my skills considering how bad I actually used to me, and in October 2023 I started learning bass by ear, and when attending that semester for music theory scales and modes, I understood more than I've ever done which made me pretty much better, and I did practice 8-12 hours a day 5-6 times a week the first 6 months until something happen recently in my life that I'm still dealing with so i don't have that much time for the time being to continue my adventure to becoming a master on guitar, but I'll get there asap as this thing is over and I can go back to practice as consistently as I've done this year. But that's me and if your curious on how that has gone till now you can check out my videos and listen to the progress that I've had this year. BUT I do understand that you mean the guy in the video, which is not me, but Adam Fulara from Poland, while me being 50/50 Swedish and Norwegian 🙂 And yeah he was already a master back then and is still counterpoint tapping guitar. youtube.com/@adamfulara is the one to credit for this amazing piece! I would love it if you visit his channel and subscribe to him! 😀 I am a multi instrumentalist playing several instruments that I've learned by ear! And developed that a lot this year because in October 2023 I bought a bass and started learning that also by ear, until the end of February this year when I wanted to learn the theory behind what I was playing and signed up for a 14 hour semester to learn some Music theory, scales and modes on bass which helped me across all the instruments that I play and now I'm working on getting to the level I've always wanted to achieve! I practice a lot, and it's easier when I understand the theory I've learned so far, I wish the semester lasted longer and I could not afford to sign up for another semester when it ended, but hopefully next year I will be able to sign up for another semester, but 14 hour cost me approximately 1200 USD converted from my valuta, doesn't come cheap but worth every penny!

video is a year and a half older than me, but Bach is a genius
Describe in your own words why?

@@mariokorczynski3760 Counterpoint playing, amazing chord progressions, Bach was ahead of time, and there is a reason alot of music theory includes Bach :)
Don't know how this took 18 years to appear in my recommended list but better late than never. Sublime.
I guess! 😀 Make sure to subscribe to his channel youtube.com/@adamfulara Would make me a happy man!
Really great work here! Great to see you still playing guitar.
Let me clearify my friend, I am no where near as good as Adam! His channel you can find here www.youtube.com/@AdamFulara
I'm playing guitar, bass, drums and piano, mostly self taught, and bass i started learning last year of October, and cheated this February to evolve both on guitar and bass by taking a semester of 14h hours music theory, scales and modes on a private music school!
I think a lot of people miss that this is Adam and not you.
@@l3p3 I agree with you on that, and I don't want people to give me creds for his work, nor mistake me for him, so I do my best to answer every single comment, and to reassure every single one that Me and Adam is not the same guy, and i also encourage people to visit his channel to give him some love and support by sharing this link www.youtube.com/@AdamFulara
which leads you right to his youtube 🙂 He him self never posted this one on youtube tho, but I did because i wanted more people to notice him, aswell as i wanted a shortcut to find this masterpiece whenever i wanted to listen to it =) I'm glad you know im not him though =)
Weird...i have been looking for this guy randomly over the last 15 years since I saw this video and it just randomly popped up thank you for posting
@@jh5131 you're welcome, ❤️ did you go to his channel and sub? that would make me a happy man ❤️
I think JSB would be astonished at your incredible skill, and gratified at the same time. I know I am!
Classical music is amazing!!!!!!!!
It's the foundation of modern music! 🙂
How does this not have millions of views?
I know right! Not even his own channel! Not that he has this on his channel but he has some other oldigoldies ! His video with most views had 367K videos, he did not post this one on his page along with some other gold videos he made.
This is his channel www.youtube.com/@AdamFulara
And if you youtube Adam Fulara, and sort by most views, you'll see another one reposting one of his videos which also was one of my favs that was already posted, it had 800K videos and
that one is this one

Probably because he didn't trim off the excess strings.
@@crediblehulk420 hahahahaha! Yeah i dont understand how he isnt distracted by that him self :P
His tone is so hood that old video still sounds fresh!
Very cool. Weirdly ahead of its time, even though it's a classical piece. This is how a lot of modern virtuoso guitarists play nowadays
Can't say I've seen many around playing counterpoint like this, would love if you could give an example of other artists doing this? I have only seen Adam perform like this :)
@@FingalPersson modern virtuosos don't play exactly like this, but utilize the same techniques and play with very clean tones. Ichika Nito and Yvette Young are two that I think of off the top of my head
@@evanlee93 Thank you! I will check out Yvette and Ichika! :) I think i understand better what you meant now!
Bruhhh this is 18 years ago u must be an absolute master on guitar now holy crapppppp
Here is his channel youtube.com/@adamfulara
make sure to subscribe to him ( he has been inactive for 2 years ) there are also interviews of him here on youtube you can find to see how he is doing 2 years ago at least. And i'll be kind enough to provide the link to that interview too so you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/0QKIwqRquts/v-deo.html
Then you can travel back 8 years and see the same guy do an interview with him where he holds a double necked guitar

Hope that clears up things and that you enjoy seeing how far he has come 🙂 God bless you brother!

Greetings Brazil! This is not me performing but rather Adam Fulara! I am just the messenger! The rest of my content is purely me though, and oh though I also perform I don't perform like Adam Fulara. youtube.com/@adamfulara here is his channel!
omfg. That's amazing. That's one hell of a crazy technique. Crazy Good!
This video has existed nearly as long as me, and yet I’ve only just come across it. As I listen i feel my mind form trillions of connections a second, that’s how well this was played. Peace and love
I was 21 years old when i first discovered Adam, so technically you discovered him before me lol :)
Holy crap!!! This is incredible!!!!! I am trying so hard to play this on piano - I never imagined someone could play it on guitar. Phenomenal!!
I've been watched this video when I was young.
At the first time I shocked to watch.
I'm glad to see you again.
I remember that time.
youtube.com/@adamfulara is his channel, I am not Adam from the video 🙂
I love Bach's music so much! There's something to hearing it played like this on a guitar, and even though I still prefer the piano version, this has a lot of charm.
Wow... 18 years ago! Absolutely fantastic work, by the way!

it's highly appropriate that this video was posted 18 years ago, the literal spawn of youtube.
This is insane it gets recommended now I was still in high school by the time this was released and now I’m approaching my mid thirties.
That ending was subtle.
That's just the way J.S Bach ended songs, his songs told a story, and landed softly for the next chapter to be heard :)
People and what they can do with their prefer,d instrument s simply amazing
awesome.
i liked his mimics while playing.:)

Amazing that you remember that! My very first youtube video I watched was either that girl with the lazy eye, can't even remember who she was, but it went viral! And Smooch, and TheWineKone! Those were the days!

This is the way a guitarist should think. This playing is inspiring. Great job.
youtube.com/@adamfulara is the one to credit for this amazing piece!
@@FingalPersson Well, I subscribed to both. 😌
