- "Slow Ride" is a song by the British rock band Foghat. It was the lead single from their fifth studio album, Fool for the City (1975), released on Bearsville Records. In 2009, it was named the 45th "Best Hard Rock" song of all time by VH1. (Wikipedia)

2024 and listening to Foghat!!
You betcha
Our culture doesn't produce this kind of rock 'n roll anymore. Something is very wrong. But at least we have UA-cam where we can listen to Foghat and connect with other people with good taste.
This song stands the test of time!!
Glad Back in my Day Music hasn't disappeared Altogether! Enjoy! 😊 🎸
Youngsters today will never get how great music was back in the day (live)!
... and no autotune!!!
This one song alone was worth the price of admission 👍
I saw Foghat 4 times in my life. At one show in Pittsburgh, my brother and I got right up against the stage! Lonesome Dave got down right in front of me and let me strum his guitar! Highlight of my life! My brother caught one of Roger Earl's drumsticks he tossed out right after they played Slow Ride!
Great memories of great times..hell yeah ✌🏼
Saw them with Steppenwolf and the Outlaws in Houston in 87 I believe. It lasted 5 1/2 hrs. long. The best concert I ever went to.
Steppenwolf another great Canadian Band- Heavy metal thunder
@@bradbean5184 And Steppenwolf not in Rock & Roll Fame Of B.S. Fame!! WTF? Only the song Born To Be Wild!!
Man!! That must of been a Trip!! Raw Talent!! 👍🏻
I loved the Outlaws! The guitar Army with Billy and the gang!
This song is pure power rock n roll. I saw Foghat at the Allentown fairgrounds in 1976 and this was the LOUDEST song I ever heard, it verberated right through you and was Freaking awesome. Hail FOGHAT!!
Loud and Proud was their signature. I've seen them front row a couple of times. They would pulverize you.
Ha! I saw them in Bakersfield, Ca in '76, I was 10!!. They blew our ears out! What a great band.
I saw them many times in the early/mid '70s!! Straight up rocking mother f"" ck"rs last couple times was driving wheel tour!! So tight so good!! Go into the garden or civic centers feeling really good!!🤩🤪😜 Come like you just got kicked in the head man they friggin rocked
They were sooo loud and sooo good in concert

Foghat and Triumph together in 1982 what a show .
HaHa, I was there that tour and it was indescribable, maybe not the same show, Dayton Hera Arena

One of the best rock 🎵 songs of the 70s
Absolutely
For the longest, I have been trying to find this song 🎵 and I finally found it 🙌 😅 😍 great song and it never gets old, who is listening to it on March 8 2022 ?
I recorded my own own CD and I call it Foghat: The evolution of Slow Ride. The studio version, 1977 Concert version, the 1997 Concert version (Road Cases) and the last performance on DVD in 1999. Lonesome Dave's last performance before he died. I take it with me when I'm on one of those road trips and I'm by myself or with my son. My wife gets tired of it real quick!
Sigo a FOGHAT desde 1975...puro rock..y blues. Grande.
omg so powerful. from the muscle cars of 70's to a time to slow it all down and enjoy the ride.
I saw foghat with REO and Nazareth at the Omni in ATLANTA WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT YEA
This vinal spent a lot of time on my turntable.
This was a great tune
I miss the good old
ROCK N ROLL.. awesome
I’m with ya dude. Nothing like it for me. Love Love Love It!!!
It's coming back. A young musician from Canada has recently just built a classic sounding original rock N roll album that's going to knock out the rap and hip hop industry. Get ready.
They sound awesome live too!!!
Saw the Foghat/Molly Hatchet mix three years ago at the Wolf Den in the Mohegan Sun casino. Brought the house down with this song!
I saw them at the Pontiac Silverdome opening for Steve Miller and Leslie West in '75, epic event, terrible venue. When I got to see them again in the early 90's they were touring the US doing small shows with original members (Nick on bass I think) They totally blew it out both times, and in the 90's they hung around and signed autographs and gave my kids guitar picks etc. Super nice guys. I mentioned to Dave that I saw them at that show at the Silverdome and he and Rod both lit up said it was the first really big stadium gig that they did, both of their eyes got as big as dinner plates for a sec thinking about that moment. They owned that day, Steve Miller was boring and Leslie West is great but was a self-indulgent guitar hero at that point. They were new and playing Detroit when they were on top. #1 best hard rock song IMHO. I was 13 and snuck in;)
I saw them in the mid 70's and they were awesome 👍 Lakeland Civic center.
That’s when they were at their best
Absolutely loved Foghat from the first time hearing them. Incredible fun happy rock n' roll.
I was a senior in high school when this song came out. Saw them three times in the seventies. I haven't played this album in decades and it's like I never left the band because I remember the lyrics once the music starts and I'm sitting here groovin' out my older age at 63.
"Classic Rock" My Favorite Type Of Music, Played By My Favorite Band !!!
TEARS OF JOY AND SADNESS !! R.I.P BROTHERS OF R.O.C.K.

Saw foghat when they supported black sabbath on the sabotage tour in 75, good band,
Great song in concert...
Classic Forever.
ROCK YEARS 70.
Saw Foghat at the Florida Theater in Gainesville in the early 90’s. They were awesome. I was right up front dancing the whole time. Lonesome Dave gave me two of his guitar picks!! Still have them today. Love Foghat. ❤
Saw them live, upclose and personal. Got to meet the whole band after the show and got all their autographs on a Foghat tank top.
Lonesome Dave what a musician. Foghat was awesome in the 70s . Saw them 3 times. Lonesome Dave did a solo during this song.
I saw them in '75. They were at the top of their game. 2nd row center !
One of my best times in my life. 1977, 1978. Another better times. Better people. In my opinion of course.
A bit of jealousy from other bands around the time this was released. Producer NICK JAMESON gave this band a really good deal. I am not sure of the details, but I think it sounds great! One of the best live albums / EP of the 70's
One of My favorite songs ... Comes together so well. Rock and roll anthem greats. ❤❤
Me and my friends would skip school and and drive around hotboxing it to this 8 track good times
10/4/2024- -STILL LISTENING TO “SLOW RIDE AND ROLL ALL NIGHT LONG “. YEAH, BABY 🎉

One of the most awesome bands of the 70's
Saw them and the Outlaws,.Nassau Coliseum sometime in the late 70's early 80's...great show!!
Fantastic, WONDERFUL BEYOND BELIEF!!!!, I bet theres Lots of babies been conceived to this. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!
Hey all you Taylor Swift Fans, guess what daddy grew up on, Yeah! Foghat! This music is pure Testicles and not Taylor's Dust Balls!
Saw them 1974. NC
Seem them 3 times twice in the 70s once little later
saw them in 1975 they opened for Black Oak Arkansas $6.00
I played "Foghat Live" until the grooves were worn. They were first class at rocking and grooving, and they did it so naturally.
This song was off of Foghat Live, 1977. I saw Foghat in Atlanta, Ga. In 1981. Unfortunately, Rod Price wasn't with them. Eric Cartwright was in his place and they opened For Blue Oyster Cult. They had to use BOC's sound system and it was awful. Full of static and distortion and did not do Foghat justice. I'm not putting down Foghat and they deserved a better sound but still they gave their best. BOC should have apologized for this but they never did.
Masterpiece ❤
Excelente grupo musical de Rock., de los 80´, un viejo recuerdo de la época de Estudiante

Esta es de las 70’s
That sure was a band to remember the 60-80 by got my own measure in my memo.cannot is not good.KARIN💘💖💝💌💓💞💕
Nice tribute to the band. Great song!
loved this band and still do, the amount of hard work these guys put in is crazy, they were rock and roll. they lived through the music so even though staple members have gone to a better place"where im sure the jams are mind blowing" when lonesome dave belts out "I dont need your money!!" or" It hurts me too!" and it echos off some wall after burning out of a over sized pa system, he and the boys are still with us and going strong. God bless them. The amount of under rated or unappreciated type of praise is second to none with this group. They deserve so much more notoriety and they enjoyed a good deal, but not enough. Roger, god love him, still bangs his double bass kit before huge crowds to this very day. He should get a lot more credit in regards to his double bass drum style, he was among if not the first to shuffle with both feet first, his name is rarely brought up in the go to guys of rock music drum greats of his era. Roger Earl should be on the tip of your tongue when bonham, moon, baker, and you can fill in the blanks. Fog Hat, thank you guys, you rocked the asses off multitudes
TREMENDA E HISTORICA DESCARGA DEL ROCK AND ROLL... .

This isn't 1975 ...
Hi, Lawson! Thanks for watching this video I created. This is the live version recorded at the Dome Arena, Henrietta, New York. However, the album "Fool for the city" came out in 75. I just mention the year of the album and not the song performance.
I saw them several times and am a fan. This is one of the worst songs they have.
lol
These guys laid down the high octane boogie like it was meant be be laid down,,, without compromise to these ears.
