This is such a great tip... not only for the Metabo but basically for any blade that might need sharpening.. great video.. Thank you
Thanks bud, I have used this method for a while and it works well. I have ordered some new knives from China too so hopefully, they are OK. If you remember those knives bend and trap chips so I think I'll machine some new stiffer clamps to hold the knives rigid.
Well done boi ! Love your work 👉🏽🇬🇧
The blades have an inherent design flaw in that the clamp gets filled very quickly with wood shavings so I Invested in a Spiral Cutter from Sheartek, huge improvement.
what sort of cost were they? cheers xxx
Just a quick thought , what if you were to fill the gap between the planer knives with something like silicone to stop chippings getting between them . A bit crude I know but it may just work 🤔
Could be worth a go... Otherwise I need to make heavy duty clamps!
Tnx.. cut through tip of a screw today and it's leaving a tiny streak now :\
AI know the feeling 😕
I done that a few times and it sucks :)
