- Heat. It's hot and if it's too hot it can be a problem. Or sometimes if it's too cold. Whatever.
The InfiRay P2 Pro with Magnetic Macro can see heat radiated on the infrared spectrum and let us know if our chips are too hot, too cold or just right.
We're going to give it a try and test drive the software... Right Now!

Thanks for watching. As usual, stuff arrives and I review it as honestly as I can. This one now lives on my workshop iPhone 8 which I rarely connect to the internet and just use for close up macro filming and (now) thermal imaging.
Any other things I can use this for?
Any time I see a thermal imaging camera, Predator instantly springs to mind. 😁
Get to the choppaaaaaaa
My dream of Predator-vision glasses marches ever closer
The palette setting that looks like Predator is called "Jungle"... coincidence?
"Looking for a little hot stuff, I can't get enough." David Coverdale (Whitesnake), 1981. 😁🤘
Here I go again...
£300!!! Wow that’s seriously expensive, personally I would buy a stand alone camera for that price.
I've noticed the price is much lower on their website. I did like the convenience of being able to capture the footage directly on the iPhone, but it's horses for courses I think.
@@MarkFixesStuff for sure, I do like it very much and it ticks all the boxes I want, it’s just a bit too rich for me, maybe it will go down in price, however I will look at their website.
@@simonbaldwin69 No question it's a serious purchase. I'm totally with you on that one.
if no one else will say it i will, that's an adorable little carrying bag for the camera.
I didn't know I wanted Boomer Chesney Hawkes covering the Monkees, but now that I've had a taste I'm hooked. Spin-off musical channel when? 😉
Be careful what you wish for...
Needs to come down to £200 to be competitive, as there a few of these devices with ZX Spectrum resolution for that kind of money.
1:05 hur hur hur, you said 'really hard' not to mention 'goodies' and 'open the box' fnar fnar
I am always impressed with your imagination Mark! 😁😁
Rather a useful item, I'd say! I wonder if it picks up ghosts too. (Cold spots, or whatever). Just a thought! (The problem with Most Haunted was always that they screamed and ran off whenever anything happened, thus probably scaring off the ghosts, etc).👻
This is a useful review.
It would be interesting to know what the image uniformity is like. I sent an ir camera attachment back recently (not an infiray) because when pointed at a flat wall of uniform temperature, the corners were about 1.5 degrees warmer than the centre, much worse than the non-uniformity on a five year old stand alone low-res unit that I own. It made looking at areas of low thermal contrast, eg damp or joists, a bit of a pain. In all other respects it blew the old model out of the water, but the thermal vignetting was an irritation too far.
I’d buy a FLIR TG165-X, won’t get bricked by an app or phone software upgrade.
Also Apple will be using USB C soon
Blimey! one is even more expensive.. 50% on top... ooof!! I like that FLIR do the MSX merge of the real camera and the thermal image. On the other hand, this one has a higher resolution thermal sensor at 256x192 compared to the FLIR's 80x60.
Interestingly there is also a USB-C version so I wonder if that works on USB-C Apple devices?
This would definitely be nice in any electronics toolbox. However as others have said I could not justify the price.
🤘
Cheers Ryan :)
@@MarkFixesStuff just leaving comments like you pay me to! 😂
@@RyanMercer 100,000 to go mate.
Good review. The product looks decent, but the cost is more than I could justify paying. For someone who does a lot of repairs it might be worth it, but not for me.
You've been hacked !!!!! Same like LTT couple months ago !
Thanks @Bodzium mate. I am back in now.
@@MarkFixesStuff Great ! I'm waiting for video how the heck they did that or something
