I think your style of presentation is about as perfect as they come! Excellent review and thank you.
Excellent review Bruce. Much more comprehensive than others I've seen on YT for this particular product. Thank you!!!!
I love it, I've had one for over a year now. I keep it inside my old Seek Thermal case, which it fits into with ALOT of space to spare. I didn't get that magnetic macro lens thing through. It wasn't available at the time.
How far away can it pick up heat signatures?
I can confirm this is a very powerful little camera. The new thermal cameras coming out these days are great value for the cost compared to Flir (More for commercial Industry). I myself use the Topdon TC 001. The refresh rate above 20Hz makes a huge difference. The apps can also be updated to add more features like the one i use which added camera overlay (with variable transparency). It seems most of these apps still have issues with saving settings, although mine had an update today that now saves some of them. For around $300 this is amazing. I use it at least a few times a week at work and on my hikes to find critters.
Agree, but as I know that INFIRAY is the sensor supplier for Topton, so compare with a assembly firm, I prefer the full-solution provider...
@@RyanMi- for sure. I bought the topdon because of its size. In my workplace the smaller version would be lost or damaged. I agree this version is better especially since it has the macro lens for small electronics repair.
fantastic review! thanks, I was just about to get a FLIR but will get this one instead
This is the video I’ve been looking for. Thank you! Finally someone that is actually explaining these things and showing the differences.
Thank you!
This is the comment I wanted to put :) I've seen this camera on ebay and I was wondering is it as good as they promise because it looks extremely good comparing specs to the price. Now I know I want it :) Thank you!
Think I will get one for work. Connected to my phone makes it easier to email findings to other people. And it’s small size makes it easy to carry it my pocket. Every time I find something wrong it’s a wonderful feeling.
Honest review with details Bruce, nice work! I am thinking how Flir ONE will do when facing such a challenge?
Wow, really impressive bit of kit and excellent review! Does the USB-C version work on the iPhone 15 Pro?
I'm pretty sure it does, but I will certainly double check with InfiRay.
@@BranchusCreations cheers, much appreciated
@@BranchusCreations While it _should_ work, I would not make that assumption. USB-C is different it there is a good chance that at least a software fix is needed. We have no idea how the camera is communicating on iOS vs. Android. That said: really looking forward for an answer from them - I want that camera 🙂
I’d really love to know this too. I’ve had a look around and I can’t find anyone who’s tested the USB-C model on an iPhone 15 or even an iPad with USB-C.
I’m also interested in iPad compatibility. I don’t have a USB-C phone yet, but I’m considering buying the USB-C P2 Pro and then using it with my iPad until I upgrade my phone in the future.
wow thank you for amazing analysis
Excellent work as always!
That is a shockingly great thermal camera for the size great review bruce
On a serious note, this was an excellent video. Please disregard my chicken joke
Excellent review and a damn fine lil thermal cam!
thanks for sharing. I am sold! going to buy now
Very interested in this 🤔 would like to make a thermal camera on the raspberry pi. Did you need to download any drivers?
Would like to run it in opencv to change the palettes 👍
Nice review, very nice looking camera. Are these available in the US? I clicked the link and Amazon came up with nothing.
Excellent review! Thanks for your time and effort making it. 👍
Please make a video any such low cost better alternatives to FLiR & Seek..
I have one, too. It is a very useful tool for me to troubleshoot in my daily work
Thorough review. Thank you
Really great review, with the perfect dose of humor. Many thanks!
What about if we compare that to FLUKE iSEE?
Excellent well-informed and complete video!! just one question other UA-camrs have stated that you cannot use it during the daytime, if this is true, why
I need this to be formatted and integrated to replace my DJI mini 3 gimbal camera.
Best camera ever! i need to receive one friend want to help me to get it its so cool i think its going to change my life with it. all my laptop motherboard repairs will be so much easier :) From what i saw its insane! i cant wait to get in my hand one :)
thank you for this video, it helped me so thumbs up .
Mine p2 pro boots up 20-30sec… android. And disconnects from the smallest moves if i touch it or push it to an object. Really anoying
Gran vídeo, yo tan contento con mi Myleseey, va de lujo, un saludo.
Anytoughts on the TOPDON brand? they got 2 new cameras that i'm looking into...the TS001 has an adjustable focus which is a big deal imp
Got to your video while researching which one to buy
Excellent review! Thanks, Bruce!
Hey Bruce, any updates on the ultrasonic washing machine?
Any disadvantages?
I am thinking of making one.
batman reviewing thermal cameras!
Does this camera save both the thermal and regular images simultaneously?
It only saves the thermal image.
Great video. Very informative and data well presented.
When you were fi;lming people from above, it said 50celsius, this is not accurate at all right? I mean, what is actually it's accuracy?
Does it only work with lightning iPhones or can I get the USBC version?
Question that wasn't addressed in the video: does it come with a case of some sort? Given that it's so small, having a convenient way of storing it seems quite important.
Can it find water leak?
I have plumbing problem in bathroom, drain pipe is under concrete and tile floor and water pipe is inside brick wall....
Also advice if it can detect animal inside car or van that is invisible to human.
Is it good for finding small birds at bushes in night in short distance
hi.. is there a good thermal cam for the new gen iphone with usb-c ? or can we use the thermal cams that we can use on android phones with usb-c? thx
Compete to normal not Mobil version telhernovision camera?what would u say?is a big difference or?
Would the USB-C version (labeled Android) work with the new iPhone 15 (given it now has USB-C)?
I'm pretty sure it will, but I will certainly double check with InfiRay.
I asked too, their reply@@BranchusCreations
Type C for iphone is being developed.
Type C for android not work for type C ios.
Our R&D staff is working on it, so stay tuned.
Thanks
But can it still detect heat through that special mud along the river?
I'll give Arnold a call and see if he wants to participate in a test.
works well enough for my needs.
How far away can it pick up heat signatures?
Excellent work. Thank you.
Interesting item. Would it work with an iPhone 15 with usb-c?
no it wont, they say on there homepage that they will be aupdate soon.
Great informations!!!
Do you have an active code to discount Amazon AU? The code above no longer works. Thanks
What about magnification -- can you zoom in?
price?
Good useful information
thank you so much !
Can this be attached to a Go Pro?
Does anyone know if they will have a USB-C version of this for iPhone (15/15pro)? The only USB-C versions I see are only for Android.
I'm just waiting to hear back from them.
@@BranchusCreations I have a contact there too and asked earlier this year in anticipation of Apple adopting USB-C, he told me to reach out later, which I did (no response). His name was Miller.
@@CarlMoebis I've tested tonight and can confirm it does NOT work on iPhone 15 Pro sadly.
I need this but for a drone.
Why did the heads of people in the shopping centre show 45°c ?
It was picking up the hot food they were eating in the food court.
@BranchusCreations ahh, very good. Thank you for the reply. Great review by the way.
👍👍
Why do IR cameras have to be so damn expensive.
Apparently one of the reasons is the lenses. If you ever point an infrared camera at a glass window, it's like looking at a brick wall - the infrared doesn't pass through it. So they have to make the lenses out of expensive materials that will allow infrared to pass through them like germanium or zinc selenide.
14:44 exactly what i was thinking of "Military and government might be putting restrains to the advancement of thermal imaging tech" since these are crappy in terms of today's tech level.
very nice
P2 pro can detect very small temperature changes
13:43
You choke your chicken?
🙏🏼
These type of things are great til apple changes the connector
I'm waiting to hear back from InfiRay (they are on holidays right now), but am hoping they will respond to the change swiftly.
In shopping mall not any fart detection?
Well mines about 8 month old, kept on a shelf in a padded bag, took less than a hundred images and maybe 60 minutes of video, and its gone weird with 4 ghost images on video, live preview while recording is fine, photos are fine. reinstalled app, tried another phone.

Be careful, or a fly will fall into your mouth.
for $480 theres better options out there for less
It's only 279 mate,,,, how to imagine that 279 you can get a thermal, it won't happen before
This looks like a copy of flir for sure...
Flir wont make an usbc for iphone 15, their recommend their bluetooth one at $800, this one is lightning so I am pretty sure it’s an old design/stolen from flir because they moved on from it.
And yep the flir ios app is absolutely terrible and flaky, could take 20-40 tries to connect the camera.
If I connect the versions of the camera with a lightning connector using a lightning->usb-C adapter to an android phone, will it work?
Sorry, I can't answer that. You might need to get in touch with their support team.
Whats the distance on it
