      Already happening. Do a search for United Nations Peacekeepers and sexual assault, rape, buying sex in exchange for Food and Water, forced vaccination, sterilization, bringing birth control to "disaster areas" before fresh food and water to block potential pregnancies from this behavior etc etc

    In my father's eyes (Ret. US Army Combat Vet) I was nothing more than a quitter.

    My heart goes out to you.You are a true hero.What happened to you DOES NOT make you less of a man
    To the contrary the fact the you came out shows who you really are.I can't even imagine the feeling of violation from their sadistic pleasure.And the fact they enjoyed it probably made it harder.
    I am not going to pretend that i understand because i dont.I never can but I have been hurt .By a teacher.
    I am sending you strength 💪.you are a soldier. You truly deserve that title they do not.

    Now I know why so many parents are very reluctant for their children to join the military. Why don't parents just tell their children what the reality of the world is? How are young people supposed to be able to avoid this crap, if they have NO IDEA it's even there??

    As a gay man, this brought me to tears for many reasons:
    1. The unwanted sexual and emotional abuse he endured
    2. This man's courage, willingness, and strength to be authentic and vulnerable
    3. The fact that many military men have homoeroticism (or are closeted) which is masked with rage, aggression, denial, deflection, and is also suppressed which further cultivates the internal war going on emotionally and sexually in their thoughts and sexual primal instincts (an all-male division is a breeding ground for suppressed sexual predators, which really are the victims who need help the most - the pereptrators)
    4. The worn and outright exhausting untrue concept from straight men that being gay makes you less of a "man" (not saying this guy is, it's just always been some form of dominance hierarchy to guys that if you prefer gay sex, then you're weak. Not true. I've been 100% more masculine than guys who wanted to top me. Usually it's beta males who try to get their ego power fix. I don't even like anal. That shit is painful and should never, I state again, NEVER be forced onto someone! - What this guy went through was rape)
    5. The army's turn a cold shoulder, keep a blind eye, sweep sweep under the rug mentality for fear of making them look bad and incompetent
    6. The army's incapability of understanding sexual emotions in young men ages 18-27 and the level of cognative development or concern, or lackthereof
    7. The army's advocation of the concept that pain makes you stronger and you're not worthy if you don't endure pain (the martyr trap)
    8. The cult-like military culture of preparing humans to ignore emotions, be submissive, and accept abuse as a mean's of initiation and "earning" respect.

    We have this problem in the UK too with recent reports of abuse in the Royal Navy.
    This disgusting practise needs to be purged from the Armed Forces.
    I get that recruits need to be tough and it isn't a 'normal job' but no one should go through this ordeal simply for wanting to serve their country.
    People in authority need to be cracking down on this and there needs to be stiff punishments for the perpetrators.

    I can't believe that in this day and age a medical professional suggested he take up smoking to try and calm his nerves. Does the therapist live in the 1940s?

    • @NICEJEWISHMAMA
      @NICEJEWISHMAMA 6 років тому +21

      Smoking is no worse than anything else in moderation. Breathing in Los Angeles for a day equals smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. One more will not make a difference. In fact, the health of people who smoke and move around is better than that of the morbidly obese couch potato, Instead of prejudging other people, perhaps you could join the EPA or rally for Air Pollution and perhaps do some good for someone instead of injecting prejudiced little comments that show your lack of empathy and/or your indifference to a more serious problem. ps. I am not a smoker.

    • @KindaKaylaHQ
      @KindaKaylaHQ 6 років тому +48

      @@NICEJEWISHMAMA That is not really relevant with their comment. This therapist suggested they take up a substance to calm their nerves rather then having them talk about their issues. It's the same thing as alcohol. Doesn't hurt in moderation but for a therapist to say go drink a glass or two to calm down (for whatever issue they have) is bizarre.

    • @cracker20
      @cracker20 5 років тому +23

      @@NICEJEWISHMAMA I'm not a fan of smoking, but have you ever heard of a person suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts due to certain medications. The officer did not want to take anti-depressant I know smoking isn't good for you but if you are dealing with someone who suffers from suicidal thoughts (I have) then it's a lesser of two evils....in my opinion.

    I spent 2 years as a draftee and never saw nor heard of this outrageous conduct. To think that some of these abusers were sergeants and in charge of others is even more chilling. I wonder if having the fear of being shipped out to Vietnam might have had something to do with that fact? We had little unit cohesion so hazing would not have meant much. You went to Basic Training then AIT as a medic and sent off to war. You met many from other units. I am sure there were not fewer abusers 50 years ago than today. To have to go to work every day and never knowing if and when one might be attacked could cause a real loos of work performance aside from the harmful mental effects of the rapes.

    You have the right to know what happens to your loved ones while in bootcamp! And what type of leaders the Army provides for your loved ones!
    (Sexual Harassment) During White Phase for Alpha company 119 during last formation Drill Sergeant Guzman stood on top of the CQ desk and ordered all of the company to grab themselves. Many of the privates obeyed the command, but many did not. Drill Sergeant Guzman repeated her command Several times to the privates noticing that many where not obeying her command. Drill Sergeant Stewart then said do it, do as she say’s privates. After Drill Sergeant Stewart said this even more privates obeyed the order to touch themselves. The company is made of females and males. However still some of the privates chose to disobey the order. I was among those few. When this was happening, I was troubled and disgusted with the orders and the leadership. I then later contacted Sharp about the incident. And sharp began an investigation on the matter. Part of the investigation was talking to a random of 12 privates out of the 180 sexually harassed. They were questioned on if what I had said was true or not with my complaint. The army said they felt that the sexual harassment in this case was not that serious. The two drill sergeants continued to be drill sergeants for the remainder of the training. And from what I assume are still considered drill sergeants at this time. This all happened during white phase of training, around May 30, 2018 is estimated time. However, I’m sure the Army knows the exact date this all happened.
    Mistreatment of non-trainees/Harassment/Sexual Discrimination
    1. Non-Trainees where not permitted to go to the concert, or have family day.
    2. Some non-trainers are kept from going home for 7 weeks or longer.
    3. Non-trainers have to walk in the back of the lines.
    4. Drill Sergeants have told non-trainers to turn around while the company was in formation. Drill Sergeant Miller said he didn’t want to look at their faces.
    5. Because of the disrespectfulness and unprofessionalism some of the drill sergeants have towards non-trainers, the trainees follow the example of the drill sergeants. Creating a more aggressive disrespectful environment between trainees and non-trainees.
    6. Drill Sergeants have told non-trainees that they were going to kill them.
    7. Non-trainees are not allowed to call their families while the trainees are.
    8. Trainees would be told not to talk to the quitters/non-trainers.
    9. Some non-trainees cannot have a protein bar at last formation.
    10. Non-trainees would be degraded, and embarrassed in front of the entire company.
    11. Non-Trainers are forced at times to do two fire guard shifts in one night. While the trainees would do just one shift.
    12. A female private was not required to recycle do to a negligent discharge that her and a man had done on the same day. However, he was required because he was a man. The army requires a percentage of the woman in boot camp to graduate. (Happened in white phase)
    Just because a trainee quits in basic training does not mean they are dishonorable. The Army/life style is not for everyone. Some people choose to as least try the Army out, and this is honorable in its self. Those who do quit should not be shamed, put down, or degraded. When this happens, this is only bringing shame upon the Army for being unprofessional, and inconsiderate of others circumstances. I’ve noticed this to be a very big issue with in Alpha company 119. And this behavior among the Amy Leadership is unacceptable. And it should be unacceptable with the Army if it truly believes in its (Army Values).
    During the sexual harassment investigation of Alpha company 119, I believe it was a lieutenant doing the investigation asked me when it happened. I was honest and told him I was not sure exactly the time and date. He then said he already knew exactly when it all had happened. He then told me about if I was lying about the complaint I had made that their where serious consequences. The fact that he knew exactly when this all had happened indicates that he knew that what I was telling him was true. And he was simply trying to intimidate me to back out of my complaint to protect the two drill sergeants and Alpha company 119 despite their wrong doings. I then later requested a lawyer from my first sergeant Brady. He asked me why I wanted to speak to a lawyer? I then gave him a letter about the mistreatment/Harassment of the non-trainees. He read over the letter and explained to me why things where the way they are. And he justified the mistreatment of the non-trainees. I was troubled that any leader would justify this kind of behavior. I also told him that I wanted to talk to a lawyer about the sexual harassment also. This was so I could know all my rights and options. He then told me that he would contact jag and a lawyer would be provided for me.
    Within a week Drill Sergeant Amadi came to me showing a paper that I had signed as a non-trainee. The form said “I (my initials) waive consulting counsel and representation by military counsel and /or civilian counsel at no expense to the Government”. Drill Sergeant Amadi explained to me that I had waived my right to a lawyer according to what this form said. However, the form actually means that the government was not required to pay for my lawyer if I asked for one. I believe the drill sergeant and first sergeant new this was the case. But had hoped that I would not realize what rights I had, and had not given up. The first sergeant would have been a part of the investigation. And drill sergeant Amadi’s friends and perhaps herself would have also. I was never given a lawyer. And so, my constitutional right to a lawyer was withheld from me.
    The investigation of the sexual harassment is over. However, there seemed to be very little consequence for their behavior. Drill Sergeant Guzman and Stewart are still drill sergeants to Alpha company 119 at this moment despite what they did to the entire company of around 180 privates. There was no questioning of the privates on how they felt about the drill sergeants remaining in alpha company 119 despite their inappropriate actions towards the privates. This shows the Army takes little to no consideration of the private’s feelings on the matter. One of the Army’s top priorities should be to preserve the Army’s good name. It is my Sincere desire that this letter will inspire change within the company Alpha 119 at this time, and the future.
    Alpha Company 119 Fort Benning 198th Brigade

      You are wrong. What doesn't kill you can give you PTSD, moral injury, and sometimes death by suicide. Never for one minute think that unresolved pain, lack of justice, or retaliation can bear good fruit to the victim.

    I think we need to bring back corporal punishment, as in public medically supervised flogging as the British Army used to do in a public very ceremonial way. This in addition to serious jail time at Leavenworth and an extreme dishonorable discharge .
    This criminal assault is the violation of trust required to keep a military unit in battle together in the face of life and death and is truly traitorous

    • @lizatanzawa7910
      @lizatanzawa7910 8 років тому +3

      ...did public flogging decrease rape I wonder?

    • @jimmartin7932
      @jimmartin7932 8 років тому +3

      The flogging in all its ceremony was also terrifying for the people watching as inevitable and that was the bulk of its deterrent value beyond the pain to the offender

    • @birdtopaz5627
      @birdtopaz5627 6 років тому +2

      I actually agree with this! CAPITAL punishment doesn't seem to work, but public corporal punishment seems to offer a greater chance of deterrence!!

    Hi Jarett. Really good video. Thank you for your bravery in bringing these activities into the light.
    You mention your therapist suggesting you take up smoking to help control your nerves. I remember reading an article which reported on a study done on the calming effect smoking had on the body/a person's nerves. Basically, a person in a calm state breathes more deeply than a person who is all tensed up and feeling nervous. Therefore, the calmer person has much more oxygen in their blood at any given moment. It was discovered that if a person realised they needed to calm their nerves and then consciously breathed more deeply, drawing air deep into their lungs and emptying their lungs to say 30% before drawing the next breath, for a number of minutes the calming effect was equal to that of the smoker drawing in the smoke/nicotine filled air into their lungs when drawing on a cigarette.
    I hope you read this message and, after giving these thoughts consideration and practice, you manage to give up smoking. (In the video I got the impression you did not actually enjoy your 'enforced' smoking habit.)

    Even if violence and (different sorts of) hazing happens all around the world, America's culture of violence (the one that have their people's heads scratching as to why they have so many mass shootings) is quite permeable to dismiss its very nature. Violence is a source of pleasure as a real and factual addiction (from video games to movies, from sports to music, direct or indirect violence is omnipresent) and as such is subconsciously taught since early infancy and that's why some of those who commit horrible acts whether are oblivious of the gravity of their actions (violent pranks are nomalized, hazings are acceptable "jokes" and we are talking of people way beyond childhood here) or had fantasies where violence was the source of an ultimate pleasure ("taking your imaginary enemies whit you"). And this is without counting the whole spectrum of mental problems and substance abuse that enhance such unempathetic violent culture. That's also why taking away the guns from people (if that utopia would be even possible) wouldn't end violence (in the same that you have countries with ample access to guns but not the same catastrophic results),

    The insane acts of 'raping' is sinister, it's evil, it's conning. There is no place on this Earth ever for this kind of evil to exists. The sinister depraved sick human who does these kinds of things will learn from these things when the things you do to others happens to you.

    I'm sorry this happened to you SPC Wright.
    I can't understand that other soldiers let this happen. anybody who sees this happening would step in , right? If not literally step in than at least back up the victims story, I mean if you're there and see it with your own eyes. It's abnormal and criminal.
    It seems much more affective to make someone feel welcome than to assault them sexually or otherwise. It's terrible if you can't feel safe even after the fact.

    This is really sick behavior,and evil as well.Shame on the military for allowing this to happen,Sick people like that,who enjoy dehumanizing other people,should never be allowed to serve in the military.Playing stupid jokes like that,is really being immature,and just an excuse for bullying and degrading other people.Haters like that,should be arrested,fired from the military, and then sent to prison,where they really belong.If the military can't protect,or take care of their own, then the soldiers should start forming secret vigilante groups,and either start reporting these cases,to the proper military authorities,or take justice in their own hands.And I guarantee you,all the sexual abuse,and hazing will stop almost immediately.After all,it has happened before in other armies,and during war time events,when many soldiers dead bodies,were found on the battlefield,supposedly killed by friendly fire,(fratricide).In fact during the Vietnam war, several cases like this were reported,because many abused soldiers,including women were simply tired of all the sexual abuses,or hazing done to them,by either their superior officers,or other soldiers.Remember also,and according to many studies,many of these sexual abusers,and sexual predators,including pedophiles,and closeted gay rapists, also came from broken families,whose sick parents,other close relatives,or friends,also raped,bullied,and abused them during their childhood.Later on,during their adulthood,they continued doing the same thing to others.So these abusers who ended up in prison,or dead,deserved what they got,and regardless, justice was served,and the hazings,bullying, and sexual abuses all stopped.And for the record,I'm not promoting,or suggesting any type of vigilante justice to anyone in particular either,but if the military justice system fails you,then you have to decide what is best for you. Because these sexual abuses have to be stopped,by any means possible.Now isn't Karma a bitch!

    it makes sense to me that this hapened to him because this guy is emotionally open and would attract those insane need to inflict sexual dominance over the emotions of the victim. then you either remain a victim or you turn the understanding into a path of healing which bring so much to this world if this healing is as he does, expressed... because yes we do like in a fucked up world and we do need people to make the other realise it...
