This is interesting, as I have this camera and I also use a Rode mic this way for my own UA-cam channel. Just a good get going camera. I do need to work out a way to improve video quality though, and the mic take adjustment to get rid of the hiss even with Rode. Let us know if you have more information with this set up.
I'm glad you found this helpful, Ben! It's definitely a great place to start, but there are plenty of other cameras to upgrade to once you learn the basics. That's what I plan on doing in the future :)
if you ever see an advertisement with the older 18-55mm lens, the cameras video autofocus really suffers with ity from expirience my unit was suffering from not tracking my face when focusing
I got this camera about 10 years ago and I've barely used it. I now have a young family and I want to learn how to take the best photos possible with it. Did you only use it for video?
Hi, if you type 1. How to use the canon 700d you will get a very informative video on this modes set up, save to watch later, then change the 1 to 2 and repeat. Do this for all 7 vids in the series, plenty of others on you tube but these 7 are stage to stage and well explained and great to come back to memory joggers
I have exactly the same camera. The problem I have is that I can't connect the EOS 700D to my PC from mini HDMI to HDMI. Is there a solution? I want to make videos live or run them through a program so that I can edit them later.
Do you know why my Canon 700D does weird sound when it focus, the guy lied to me when i brought it ,and said is normal, but is not i can hear it on recording when camera is focusing.
Hi, I really like this video, it kinda helps me with deciding what camera I want but I have a question. Is the 700D better than M50 and is the M50 a good choice for a beginner who wants to shoot cars, family members and nature?
Great video thanks . Question about it - what modes have automatic focus and what modes have manual Focus ? As in how does landscape mode operate , creative auto , portrait etc
You can use magic lantern and especially if you use fast vintage lenses that allow you to use manual focus and control the depth of field it will blow an iPhone out of the water. Ps this is someone using an iPhone 15 plus….
Also default settings for you tube is 720p so we don’t even get the benefits of resolution above that. And if you were really bothered about only 1080p you can upscale in post to 2.7k in most editing apps
If you use a good lens, you will see the difference...kit lenses are sucked...iPhone are also already processed inside the camera with their own so-called...algorithm...iphones lenses are also way better compared to kit lenses. .

@@georgeharrison2795 cheers mate
@@georgeharrison2795 I've downloaded them and will start to watch and learn very soon .
Will you be making any other videos or shorts anytime soon?
Thanks 😊 I am using this camera, but I found the autofocus noisy. As it is activated, I record myself i hear the lens try to lock me in frame.
Are you using an external microphone? That should help with your noise issues. Alternatively, use manual focus and set it yourself!
whats your opinion on the 650 D with a Lens 18-135 for 230 dollars?

I'm not sure on that one, but you may be able to buy an adaptor for HDMI?
Use the CAMLINK 4K capture card usb
Had it got fade in and out on video?
Thank you, I have this camera
how was it
do you know i you can use a external monitor? like mirror the screen while recording?
It has hdmi output so you can plug external screen
could you do a video on est video settings as I'm using mine for music videos? or is that not your area
I am trying to use it as a webcam on discord and it's laggy and my mouth is out of sync what can I do about this
Get better camera
how do you have it linked to your pc? you probs need to use a camlink pci card not a usb one

You need an STM lens. The regular kit lens makes noises. STM lenses have quieter motors.

Problem is, it records only at 1080 30fps so video looks jittery.
Is upgrading to better camera the only way?

I'm glad you like the video! As for comparing the 700D to the M50, I don't have any experience on it - sorry!
@@JustLukeMorgan Oh! Thank you anyway 🥰

Mark, it's not really transfer "nooze" is it? But gossip, opinion and speculation.
Thanks for this review. Quick qiestion, between 700d and 60d, which is better?
Aqui no Brasil ela custa uns 3 mil kkk
This camera can do 5.2k RAW video
Many years"...😂
Its not worth it in 2023. It barely does 1080p30 well, even an iPhone from 4 years ago is better.
You can use Magic Lantern on this camera if you want better videos
