Can you bring the Radio to the End of Portal 2?

- To figure out if you could bring the radio from the first room to the final boss, I had to make a little mod that lets me carry it through levels, while Twitch chat tries to stop me.

@@PortalRunner TBH you plugged the radio in, so technicaly core transfer would be the radio. Would be a fun to see the end cutscene with radidos

Not quite, the ending cutscene is a pre-rendered (likely SFM) video. In order to add something like that it'd have to be remade by hand.
@@imlegos2153 no, I spam cubes in that glados scene all the time. Only point it goes pre rendered is when the elevator has passed glados

Does the ending mean that now radio is in control of the facility?
If you get close to the gates, they say you can hear faint rave music booming throught the facility.

I understand that being in chat live and making these things happen is probably fun, but personally when i'm watching a video of a stream after the fact I find that type of chat interference really frustrating. im probably the only person who thinks that though hfhdjsjsk
For challenges like these where it's just tacked on after the fact, I completely agree, it's very annoying and honestly takes away from the experience imo. At the same time, though, I think it probably helps with engagement on Twitch, and I don't blame an underrated channel for adding features to do that.

I've always wanted to do this with the can the metro cop makes you pick up in HL2 but there are 3 main roadblocks, Kleiner's Lab, Nova Prospect and the Citadel. (Plus Water Hazard would probably require bhopping to survive)

new change of plans: wheatly is just a personality core in this game, and the radio is sentient (aproved by portal 1's passing the radio through fizzlers), so we use the radio to defeat GLADoS
btw try, when jumping to the elevator on old apeture, try mid flight looking reverse and crouching. i think that could make the process faster
me trying to not obtain the broadcasting licenses and registration or whatever you need and a large mast and taking 85.2 fm to nonstop play portal radio

Okay, I'll admit my first comment was pretty critical of this challenge, but I have to admit the added-wrinkle of chat interacting with the radio made this interesting.

My guess with the fizzler in old Aperture is that it only affects portals as there are normally no props in the map

The fizzler at 8:28 is different because it needs gel to go through it so they most likely turned off the fizzling for that fizzler
Fizzlers never fizzle gel. Perhaps he accidentally had the radio replace wheatley, who can't be fizzled.

Portal 2 co-op has lots of bugs, so you just "borrow" one of those :D

I saw that you lost the radio that someone named Timothy around 35 times from losing it from it being locked,getting exploded into the water, it getting evaporated and dying with it from explosions or turrets.

I can sure bring it 5 hours and 19 minutes into the game.
Most of the bugs like the collision and render issues come from compiler optimizations… when making the game, the language they used cuts out parts of code that will never be executed, as the radio shouldn’t appear in all these section, to save space, and processor time. Pretty cool huh.
I'm sorry, but everything you just said is plain wrong. The radio isn't hardcoded in C++, it's just another physics prop supported by the game engine, which can dynamically load and modify props as it needs. There were also no such bugs here?
@@PortalRunner Yeah, if anything, the clipping bugs are most likely due to player clips brushes in the map and the one where it showed up in front of everything was just because props are rendered above everything when held
