I thought the same way. Wayback when I was a child. I had countless of frustrations on playing this mission in Playstation One. Back then also, I was really focused into getting in to the green Chinook. I was able to get there thou but I had to kill the Civilians because they trigger the kill chinooks script and they get to reach the outpost fast because the building they were hiding is near enough to reach it.
And here I am, working my way up the map slowly, avoiding the tank... meanwhile, you have Tanya blowing away civilians and Stravos leaving about 3 minutes after landing. Amazing.
Nice speedrun. Important to notice that 0:55 Tanya had to *shoot up own civilians* to Prevent the Nuke strike. A heavy moral price to pay, but hey, they are lost cause anyway, might as well get #Stravos to safety! Great to see that #cutscene also, never had I watched that one before!
It's funny how this is the only mission which has 2 different briefings, depending on whether you play the PC version or the PSX Retaliation version. So this remaster has the PC briefing, but it has the Retaliation cutscene at the end. On PC they are in Greece, in Retaliation they are in Siberia.
@@TheCNCChannel Not in the original release. There it is called Fall of Greece 1: Personal War and it comes before Evacuation, which is Fall of Greece 2. The other 6 are in two 3-level groups, Sarin Gas and Siberian Conflict. This release uses the PSX Retaliation mission groupings and cutscenes, but the original PC briefings.

Managed to beat everything in red alert so far, the only mission that seems broken is the Brothers in Arms one. I think because the spy's speed drops too much in hard, so you can't outrun the units after you've infiltrated the command centre. They said they would try to fix that in the next patch though. Anyways, keep 'm coming!
I'm sure if you replace Stavros with Stalin in this mission, this would be the ONLY method to go about it. Do it the conventional way and you'll lose the mission, Soviet mission 14 (Capture the Chronosphere Control Centers) style.

So after hundreds of hours of hating my life trying to finish this mission, u simply walk Stavros to the chopper in the base -.-
You have to sacrifice all of the civis though. They would trigger the MIGS to destroy all of the chinooks.
I didn't know we could do that. Well killing one of the civilian and straight lead Stavros to the choppa before nuke came.

Yeah the original PC title is Fall of Greece 1: Personal War, but on Retaliation somehow they put it as Siberia instead

I tried doing it this way but it wouldn't let me shoot the civilians! Have the makers of the game stopped you being able to do this?
