I have to think something changed between the Kyrie trade and KD trade. Like maybe the Nets initially thought they'd blow it up in the summer but then ended up deciding the trade deadline was a better time to do it
As a Knicks fan its hilarious seeing the Nets achieve nothing after all the shit we got back in 2019. That being said its hard to blame the FO. They did the process right, they just got really unlucky.
For real. He’s so salty right now. I literally think the nets office just wanted to give KD wherever he wanted to go as a sorry and thank you for carrying them for like 4 years. Kyrie also. But didn’t let kyrie choose because of all those Fukin games he missed.
But looking back at it, it would make more sense to take the lakers two picks and Reaves since they were gonna trade Kyrie anyway. They got one less pick from Dallas
The moment you think Lakers have a chance and tries to celebrate , Phoenix comes in and slaps the shit out of them and tells them to sit their ass down by creating a superteam. Lebron punching the air right now with this trade.
The suns are a useless franchise 🤣🤣. They better win at least a chip with this team. Never put them in the same sentence as the lakers. My team doesn't hoist division or conference banners. But fr, this trade really hurt our chances 💀💀.
@@FkTheUFC Literally 3 years ago. We've won 6 titles this millennium. Only the spurs and warriors can talk to us. And even they don't match up. We've win a chip if not multiple every single decade bar the 60s and 90s. Watch how we get more superstar free agents in the future. Cry more 🤣🤣.
Nah, KD and Kyrie overplay their hands in personnel and coaching decision...the same way we go at Lebron and Kluch Sports to bully their way to a front office, they both deserve the same heat. And I'm a KD and Kyrie fan but they don't get a pass...
There were no takers for KD in the off season. Look at what the Nets said they wanted back then, 2-3 starters and four 1st round picks- so basically the trade package they just got. So you'd have to ask the Suns why they didn't make this same offer in the off season (and the answer is the ownership issue which just got resolved like a week ago). Now the Kyrie trade was for spite for sure, Joe Tsai was being petty to the player that blew up his team.

The New Jersey Nets would’ve kept this big 3, particularly if the NBA had never banned players from being drafted straight out of high school because then Kyrie would’ve been drafted by his hometown Nets, which attracts more fans to come to Prudential Center and this means that the Nets would’ve seen absolutely no reason to move to Brooklyn and would’ve instead, decided to stay on in Newark, New Jersey and with more fans, they would’ve clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference standings in both 2020-21 and 2021-22 and would’ve made it to the Conference Final in both of those years and game 7 of the 2021 Eastern Conference Final against eventual champion Milwaukee and game 7 of the 2022 NBA Final in Phoenix and then, like I said, the Nets would’ve held on to this big 3 and would’ve gotten Ben Simmons in the 2022 deadline, without having to trade James Harden or anyone and then, even if the big 4 would’ve split, it would’ve waited until the 2023 offseason.

Tbf, the Nets got a massive haul for KD. If FIVE rights to 1st round picks, an elite 3nD guy, AND an elite 3pt shooter is them losing leverage, then I'd be perplexed to see what they coulda gotten if they DID have leverage lmao. Were they supposed to give up Ayton or another 10 2nd rounders too? 🤣
The Nets got a lot of great players bro. The Nets have done a pretty good job in my opinion. They have their new Star, Cam Thomas, with Athletic Draymond Green, and a bunch of Shooters. They're a good Team, give em a few seasons. That's how I feel. Now, Phoenix is just *different*
They got solid role players but to say they did a good job is not a good take imo. They had James Harden, KD, and Kyrie all on the same team and they have nothing but Ben Simmons to show for it now. They do have a hault of picks now but it's not worth the time and headaches they suffered
How is it the Nets fault that KD and Kyrie only played 74 games together in 3 seasons? And you keep bringing up draft capital but they have 5 FRPs, a bunch of SRPs and quality role players on their roster that some contenders probably want. For a team that's selling, they're looking pretty okay.
I just wanna say if Phoenix can’t make it happen this year or next… KD just gotta stay hooping and not chase a ring anymore, CP3 gotta truly put thought into retirement, and Phoenix may just be cursed. Hopefully I’m wrong
What would be hilarious is with all the comments Charles Barkley had made about KD, if KD manages to do the one thing Chuck could never do and bring a championship to Phoenix
@@austinlarrimore6542 it was still a very solid squad that only managed to get first in the west and win the western conference final. Granted they lost to the bulls in six.
@@christopherantoine9657 KD walked onto a team that almost repeated. So of course he doesn't get much credit for those rings. Warriors winning last year drove home that KD was more of a luxury than a necessity to them. I think he'll get a lot more credit if the Suns win but he won't shut down the "bus rider" talk unless he's leading the charge.
The Nets ownership in front office that made the horrible Boston trade back then were not the ones that signed Durant and Irving. I can't lump them all into the same boat like you do. All signs pointed to Durant acting like the LeBron of it all the same way Miami and Cleveland blew up into a championship contender. Bring in a couple of All-Star pieces and you're off to chase rings. They were just too impatient. Durant said it was the culture that the Nets fostered that made him want to go there, and then proceeded to make them trade away all of that culture and fire the coach. The mist deserve the blame for giving him the power, but to be fair they thought that they were getting someone that was going to put them on the path to a championship. To me it's basically 50/50 maybe more so on Durant and Irving.
Nets have 3 guys that can avg. 20 a game. And a team of dogs on defense with chips on their shoulders. Why won't this team be good? The only problem left is Simmons.
if you think about it, we dont know what other moves the suns could make to help the team, but the team is ass, there bench is ass, and the guys that the traded in bridges and johnson, combined are averaging more points/rbs/assist then KD... just bc its KD doesnt mean hes going to completely change this team... he gonna be coming of a knee injury and hes olddd... and Booker's injured too, so depending on when they come back, they could truly see themselves having to dig their way out of the play-in... its definitely better than having to rot on the nets... but it like every other "super-team", and i use that phrase loosely, they can't win bc they have depth... maybe in the off season they make some moves, bc majority of their team are on 1 year - min deals away, but we'll see... people just see the big name in KD and not the bigger pic, hopefully im wrong tho bc im pretty sure no nba fan would want to see one of the greatest bball players we actually got to witness first hand, go out as sad as KD might.
People really blame the organization and act like there situation they were put in wasn’t complete crap they were winning and the team could of made a run if kyrie didn’t ask out literally Durant kyrie asking for harden ruined the team and it’s obvious that was the beginning of the end
Nah, the front office have a role to play in the failure of the team too. I wouldnt even argue against the superstar, but we have GOT to stop acting like the front office played no part in this. They hired Steve Nash with ZERO experience. I already know your first response is "well, they wanted Nash", which is false, but even if it was true, they could've told KD and Kyrie no. But again, that wasnt true. Sean Marks wanted Steve. They had Ime Udoka and instead of promote him as HC over Nash, they let him sign to be the Celtics head coach. Then they kept Steve Nash as the HC despite his failures to get wins against the better teams in 2022 and overworking KD and James Harden to barely win against the lesser teams. JV should've been the Nets coach LAST season. KD requests a trade and says that he wants the GM and Nash gone and Joe Tsai tweeted that he stood with the GM and Nash. Then the Nets fail to start and they decide to fire him a season too late.
the team was being run fine b4 they got kd n kyrie... they messed up when they got em n listened to them by getting nash n getting d Jordan n trading for harden. u cant just be like kd just wanted to ball n the org failed him...the org didnt do their job but it was cuz they were trying to please kd n kyrie
Tbh Sean marks is the worst gm in the league, but cam is stepping up for kyrie so who cares bout kyrie, kyrie also is always in some drama and gets in trouble
Ok 7 months ago you said they should blow it up. Then they went on an incredible winning streak and were looking like a championship team. Why would you blow it up when there’s a good chance you can win a chip? Up until KD’s injury, it was looking like we’d make a deep playoff run
I dont like the narrative that it's all the nets fault when in fact the superstars didn't deliver. Kd and Kyrie both ain't leaders... They're great as complimentary superstars but not the vocal superstars that will rally the troops when it's winning time...
Draft compensation is irrelevant w/o our own pick they wanna stay competitive and I’m glad they spitted Kyrie they tried to win. They got unprotected 1st in the haul and 2 good young wings let’s let the trade settle they went all in there was a pandemic it’s 2 different owners and front office so no point of mixing the history Marks was smart enough to be in a way better position than when he got here and if KD CP3 fail and Suns flop it could get better
Lol Mavs package was better than Lakers offer even if they did include both picks. Nets arent a bad org, they just got in bed with Kyrie. He was the core reason for all of the madness.
You can call it cap if you want but I knew this shit was gonna happen to Brooklyn.
They basically went from championship contender to an annoying team for contenders cuz they can snatch games here and there
What's good low
How is it the Nets fault that KD and Kyrie only played 74 games together in 3 seasons? And you keep bringing up draft capital but they have 5 FRPs, a bunch of SRPs and quality role players on their roster that some contenders probably want. For a team that's selling, they're looking pretty okay.
not our fault at all that KD got hurt mid season twice and kyrie sat out mad games 🤷🏾♂️
Man I'ma miss the twins. Hell I even miss Crowder.
You making it seem like they failed off of playing together healthy 😂
From NETS to WETS
Sick shirt!
Idk what was talked about but I heard the Nets didn’t even talk to other teams for KD, just the Suns.
Trust me bro
I just wanna say if Phoenix can’t make it happen this year or next… KD just gotta stay hooping and not chase a ring anymore, CP3 gotta truly put thought into retirement, and Phoenix may just be cursed. Hopefully I’m wrong
What would be hilarious is with all the comments Charles Barkley had made about KD, if KD manages to do the one thing Chuck could never do and bring a championship to Phoenix
Barkley wasn’t on a super team tho was he
Depends on how KD wins. If Booker ends up as the Finals MVP then, KD is still a bus rider.
@@unc54 ok but KD won the finals MVP with Golden State. Twice. Will this really change people’s opinions on him
@@austinlarrimore6542 it was still a very solid squad that only managed to get first in the west and win the western conference final.
As a suns fan I miss mikal and cam Johnson.
I liked these trades
Low do you think you can pick a starting 5 for the Nets?
What is your main channel?
I didn’t know we had a lot of basketball GMs in the comments.
LOW you said you would color code the chart, cmon bruh
I like what the nets are doing
thank you I don’t see what the problem is
« CP3 deserves a break »
THANK YOU
Yo if I'm Bridges I'm putting
"Traded for Kevin Durant"
on top of my CV
Nets have 3 guys that can avg. 20 a game. And a team of dogs on defense with chips on their shoulders. Why won't this team be good?
The only problem left is Simmons.
Bro is so mad the lakers didn't get Kyrie lmao
Low is salty Kyrie did not go to Lakers lol
That Brooklyn nets team was not a super team when Paul was there they were average at best.
This Ja quote is legendary lol. He'll get to talk his shit if they make it to the finals though I wouldn't bet on it.
Dis Bih crazy😂😢
if you think about it, we dont know what other moves the suns could make to help the team, but the team is ass, there bench is ass, and the guys that the traded in bridges and johnson, combined are averaging more points/rbs/assist then KD... just bc its KD doesnt mean hes going to completely change this team... he gonna be coming of a knee injury and hes olddd... and Booker's injured too, so depending on when they come back, they could truly see themselves having to dig their way out of the play-in... its definitely better than having to rot on the nets... but it like every other "super-team", and i use that phrase loosely, they can't win bc they have depth... maybe in the off season they make some moves, bc majority of their team are on 1 year - min deals away, but we'll see... people just see the big name in KD and not the bigger pic, hopefully im wrong tho bc im pretty sure no nba fan would want to see one of the greatest bball players we actually got to witness first hand, go out as sad as KD might.
They literally repeated the worst trade of the 2010s by losing all their picks and then tanking
the answer to why they didn't take ur lakers picks is cause they don't own their own picks. That is 2+2.
Then the Nets fail to start and they decide to fire him a season too late.
i ain’t gonna lie i don’t really blame the nets i blame kd more than the nets organization
You didn’t mention the injuries and pandemic. That’s things the nets FO can’t forsee. Rare surface level take
And kyrie and Kevin are at fault too.
Think about that, rudy gobert got FOUR firsts...
Low time will tell
the team was being run fine b4 they got kd n kyrie... they messed up when they got em n listened to them by getting nash n getting d Jordan n trading for harden. u cant just be like kd just wanted to ball n the org failed him...the org didnt do their job but it was cuz they were trying to please kd n kyrie
🔥
You head the nail on the head when you said deplurible organization.
Honestly, if I’m the nets Gm..I’m hitting up OKC and trading KD for one of them Jalen Williams’ and 3 of them upcoming picks
No you're not
Wow😂😂😂
Anyone else think Ja look like Super Mario?
they shouldve rode it out with that 18-19 team
They would be a first round exit every year
@@skinnytimmy1 vibes were there at least
Draft compensation is irrelevant w/o our own pick they wanna stay competitive and I’m glad they spitted Kyrie they tried to win. They got unprotected 1st in the haul and 2 good young wings let’s let the trade settle they went all in there was a pandemic it’s 2 different owners and front office so no point of mixing the history Marks was smart enough to be in a way better position than when he got here and if KD CP3 fail and Suns flop it could get better
This team is not gonna work out at all
if kd was still in gs i think he would have 4 rings
Tsai wanted to punish his players for being men.
Lol Mavs package was better than Lakers offer even if they did include both picks. Nets arent a bad org, they just got in bed with Kyrie. He was the core reason for all of the madness.
You can call it cap if you want but I knew this shit was gonna happen to Brooklyn. I hated the fact that kd was paired with kyrie and harden so I called out the irony of what if this failed like the kg, Pierce era. I also got into an argument on instagram with a fucking sneaker cleaning page about how lame it would be if the finals would’ve been predictable by having the nets and lakers play😂
Hey low😘
