I honestly don't believe it. To me, I think this was shot down on the Nets side because KD doesn't want to play with Russ. Otherwise, this just doesn't make sense. Dallas' offer is objectively weaker than LA's. Dinwiddie/DFS are fine but they're not adding wins to Brooklyn's squad nor are they good enough to gain draft capital via trade. Meanwhile, Dallas will probably still be good down the road when Brooklyn gets that pick, meanwhile LA is going to be terrible in the latter half of this decade (barring something major happening ie they eventually sign Luka or Giannis in FA). This trade situation is confounding.
