I'm 74 years old now and I've had a cyst on my forehead close to the size of a bb just under the skin that has been there for probably thirty years, and about five months ago I started taking two tablespoons of collagen powder in my first cup of coffee every morning and now that cyst is just about gone.
@@BrocktonOval ~ I did. I went to a dermatologist in the summer of 2000 because I had several per-cancerous spots on my forehead and shoulders (caused by bad sunburn) and she gave me lotion to do a chemical peel, which worked really well on those spots, but she never did say anything about the cyst on my forehead. It wasn't that noticeable back then.
I’ve been using this for about a year now. My hair started thinning after Covid. This Vital Protein collagen has helped thicken my hair as well as new hair growth. My nails are so much healthier also. Love this product.
Hi kim, thanks for taking the time to comment and share your experience. Glad it's helping you. I'm sure this will be beneficial to others. Especially those that are trying to decide if they should try it. Thanks again.
Are you using the exact same brand? There are so many different ones. I want to use it for hair thickness what should I look for when buying collagen? Thank

So far I’ve been on collage for 3 weeks, switched to vital proteins 5 days ago and my curls came back and hair is bouncier. I def recommended if you are dealing with hair loss as far I can tell.
I've been taking this product, about once a week for a year, and noticed my fingernails strong and thick again. I'm going to increase the dose, now that I know about the other benefits.
Does added this to a green smoothie ( kale, spinach, Parsley) with many other ingredients ie. yoghurt, avocado berries flax etc , in anyway dilute its full potential would I be better just drink it with water for full effect?… Great review thanks 👍🏾
Hey Martin! No, it shouldn't dilute it in any way. Your body will still get the peptides regardless. You're good to go. I often add it to a green/berry smoothy it makes it much easier to consume.
The problem with smoothies is that you aren't chewing the food and putting saliva on it to break it down and absorb the nutrients from it. I stopped juicing and blending smoothies for this reason. I blend my own salsa verde instead of chopping everything though because i chew that with chips.
It says unflavored, but you are right it does have a taste. I put it in my coffee or green tea. I really don't care about the taste, but this stuff has practically diminished my joint pain, and that's what I find amazing. Every morning I would wake up and when I place my feet on the floor, there is this intense pain in my right leg. So anyway long story short, my leg doesn't hurt anymore, and it's worth the money.
I usually add it to something with flavor too. Nice!! What a great story! Thank you for sharing. So glad you posted this. Reducing or eliminating joint pain altogether is awesome!
Thank you for the review, very informative! I just bought my first one on Amazon but it doesn't have this list of ingredients on the label. Can it be fake?
In addition to collagen, another thing a person should take is K2, it eliminates the wrinkles in the eye area, especially around the outsides of the eye. In Japan, they eat a lot of that in the form of Natto but a person can take a good D3/K2.
I use both K2 supplements Mk4 and Mk7. After a couple of months any Tarter on your teeth comes right off. Makes Calcium and D3 do their job as in making your bones and teeth stronger and helps clean arteries.
Hi Marcelle, I know it's available at Costco in the US but I'm not sure about Canada. If you can't find it you can also try Amazon (links below) or you can go directly to their website. Hope that helps.
Great review! Does it break a fast if I had it in my morning coffee?? My open window usually is between 2 to 6 pm. Or do you recommend breaking my fast with it?
Hi Noura, Thank you! Yes, it will break a fast. There are about 70 calories per serving. I think it would be a great way to end your fast. Thanks again.
Actually, i am a firm believer in sprinting. If you exercise hard once in a while, your body will actually ADD to your youthfulness both skin and muscle tone (increased Human Growth Hormone) . Too many Americans want a “quick fix”
Just bought this today for the first time. Thank you for the video. Recommended serving is 2 scoops but then it mentions 1-2 scoops daily. How and when would you decide to take one or two scoops please .
I started with 2 scoops but have recently backed off to just 1. Some of the research shows that you don't need as much collagen as 2 scoops will be giving you. I hope that helps.
Thank YOU Bernadett! Yes, you can. Keep in mind that collagen is protein. It's food. So you can consume it without having to really worry about eating too much. Of course we can overdo ANYTHING but it sounds like you really don't have anything to worry about.
I have been paying $46 for this! I had no idea they had it at Costco for $29! Thank you! Also a tip I learned is to put it in your protein shaker bottle so that it doesn’t steak clumped up in the bottom of a glass. Also make sure to take two scoops! Would love to see your 90 day review! I’ve been taking it for over a year now and absolutely love it!
Thanks Daniel! I appreciate the tips! Yes, $29 at Costco. At least it was when I bought my first one. Thanks for the tips. I've been mixing it in other drinks and it's been working great. Thanks again!
When it goes on sale I got it for 600 or 700 off. I stock up then. Even if I take two trips into store, I'd li.it 8s only 3. So writes it 4. Best time to buy!
Wonder if it wld boost bone broth or redundant? Ive used at least 3 large containers since late last yr to present.. Havent noticed any difference but still taking it I figure it can't hurt.
Hi P Lecky, That's a good question. If you are choosing between one or the other I would go with bone broth. When you say, "3 large containers" does that mean you have been taking it every day?
I cannot taste anything when I add it to water or iced tea. I usually add it to my iced coffee and all I can taste is coffee since coffee flavor is strong. Thanks for the review :)
Awesome! My wife drinks it with water and I tried it a few times but I usually add it to something too. Thanks for your thoughts Steev! I appreciate it!
Hello, I hope you are well to ask you a question, it is to throw away, I have it, but I want to know if it can be taken at night as a replacement for a meal.
Hi Claudia, You can certainly have it at night but I would not recommend thinking of it as a "meal replacement" there is not enough overall nutrition to constitute a "meal". I would encourage you to think of it as a "supplement" as in an "addition" to what you are already doing NOT to replace. I hope that helps.
I have osteoporosis and I take Vit D3 2000 iu along with vital protein collagen powder every day. It mixes well and has no off taste. Has 8 of the 9 amino acids. Not all brands are created equal. Vital Protein brand is good for bones.

I’ve developed alopecia when I started working out (lifting, cardo) a year ago. I had patches of hair loss all over. I Got pregnant and my hair grew back (I now have pieces of short hair sticking out 🤷🏾♀️) but I started working out again and now I’m losing hair again! /: I started taking this today hoping i just need to supplement more. Let me know if there is anything else I can do 😵💫
Hi Amanda, So sorry to hear. That must be very frustrating. Unfortunately I don't know enough about healing or preventing hair loss to help you. I wish I could. Maybe someone else will be able to offer some suggestions.
Hi, I have a question.... Does Vital proteins still have a lawsuit against for this product containing high levels of lead, cadmium, mercury and other chemicals? I just found out about this and now I am very concerned as my health has recently gotten worse---- extreme tiredness, heart palpittions, kidney pains--- just to name a few. Thanks for any information...
Hi, I'm not aware of the lawsuit but it's worth checking into. It sounds like you have some pretty serious symptoms. Are you sure it's from collagen supplements? My sister in law had heavy metal poisoning and it was really bad. She was working on a fishing boat and eating tuna every day. The doctors were able to help her but it took a while. Have you been to the doctor about this? If you are concerned about heavy metals they can do a blood test to measure. Depending on the results you'll at least be able to get some idea of what to do. If YES then you know you need to work with your doctor to reduce heavy metals. If NO then you know you need to focus on other answers. Sorry it took a bit to respond. I had surgery recently and have been away from UA-cam focused on recovery from that. Thanks for watching. I hope that helps.
@JTJaredTaylor I didn't think ab out that. After I stopped using it, I was fine so I threw it in the trash. I am now scared to try any collagen as I don't want to go through that again. Thanks for taking the time to answer me, I really appreciate your feedback 😊
Yes it is. Very good. I haven't used it yet but have done some research. I'm actually planning on doing a review in the future. One of the great things about it is just that. It's a "multi-collagen" supplement. It has more types of collagen in it. Which is great. Hope that helps.
It works, I’m 74 yo, had joint pain for years, after starting to take “Vital Protein” , joint pain subsides in about 10 days, pain returned after I went on vacation for 3 weeks without taking the protein powder. So, better not forget to pack the protein powder even when you are traveling.
Great video, and I will subscribe to your channel. I believe whole heartedly what you said about supplements, a friend of mine has a huge garden raises chickens and eats very very well and that’s awesome , my lifestyle doesn’t accommodate that since I’m mostly on the road, so supplements are a plus for me “. My 2 staples now are spirulina and Vital Proteins collagen. It’s only been a week since I started so I am curious to see long term effects! Hoping you did a video on the 90 day results of this collagen. Again great video, am looking forward to others!
Thanks Toni! Wow, I wish I had time for a mini farm like your friend! So cool. I really do believe that supplements should really be just that. A way to "supplement" what you're already doing. Fill in the gaps that you can't get with real food. Glad to have you here!
I usually put some almonds with a cup of water into the Vita mix and make almond milk ( I don't buy the almond milk at the store after I read how they make almond milk) so now I wanted to put Collagen Peptides with it plus 3 dates for sweetened, is it OK?
Hi linh, If you're doing keto I would advise that you skip the dates. Dates are too high in sugar for keto. If you are NOT doing keto they're a great choice. If you ARE doing keto, try a table spoon of monkfruit or a few drops of stevia or even a combination of both. It will give you plenty of sweetness and not kick you out of ketosis. See how you like that. Hope that helps.
@@JTJaredTaylor Thank you so much! I’m not doing Keto just trying to get healthy with whole food and organic as much as I can, since Pandemic I’d stop going to gym and exercise worrying about getting the virus, my blood pressure is up so is cholesterol LDL, hope this will helps
@@linhjahnke2111 I understand why you would avoid the gym. Do you do any exercise at home? Simple walking on a regular basis can make a big difference. I think you're on the right path with whole foods. Let me know how it goes. And thanks for your comments.
Hi Nanette, I haven't found anything the indicates that collagen increases estrogen levels. Is that what you mean by "enhance"? The kind of collagen in this supplement are type 1 and type 2 made from Bovine collagen (cows). Here's an excerpt from an article (included below) by Dr. Will Cole. "... this collagen contains Type I and Type III subtypes. It is one of my favorite varieties in terms of compatibility with our own body due to the fact that the Type I subtype is most commonly found in the human body. Type I makes up tendons, bones, and ligaments and Type III is in bone marrow, cartilage, and connective tissue. Make sure to look for grass-fed to really reap the most nutritional benefits." and "Collagen has minimal effect on hormones since it contains subtypes that are found in our bodies. Most people tolerate it well and it is extremely bioavailable." Here are a few articles that may help: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5118756/ drwillcole.com/functional-medicine/could-your-protein-powder-be-throwing-off-your-hormones If you're really concerned about it I would encourage you to ask your doctor. And, perhaps keep doing your research until you feel comfortable you are getting the answers you need. I hope that helps.
Hi ! I’m using this since few weeks and I can see changes in my skin tone. I liked it.. I use 1 tea spoon diluted in water every night and next day i feel very sleepy & down my energy in day time. Please suggest when and what quantity I must use. Thank you for your suggestions
Hi, I take it in the morning and the full dose (2 scoops). I would suggest that it doesn't matter so much when you take it. Think of it more like "food" than medicine or a drug. Not sure about the tiredness. I haven't noticed that personally. Are you on a low carb or keto diet?
@@notaclue822 I just measured it. It's closer to 1 1/2 tablespoons. So if you are aiming for 2 "scoops" do 3 tablespoons and you'll be pretty close. Hope that helps.
I drink it in my coffee and it dissolves competely and I honestly don't taste anything. You can always drink it thru a straw if the taste is off putting.
Thanks Danalee! Yes, I usually add it to a smoothie or some other flavored drink. I only notice a slight taste when using just water which I don't do anymore. Thanks again!

Hi Renny, I wouldn't say that. Unless taking this causes you to drink more liquid. For dehydration you want to make sure you're drinking enough water as well as getting adequate electrolytes. Hope that helps.
I got the gelatin version from this to help in fixing my leaky gut and in addition i noticed it's making my stretch marks on my breasts less visible that's awesome :)
Hi, It's hard for me to say without doing a full comparison of all the brands that are available. I like vital proteins collagen peptides and ancient nutrition multi-collagen protein. Both are very good. Hope that helps.

I need some information, Please.. My face's skin barrier is damaged and it becomes thinner.. Can collagen help to improve it? And make skin thicker as it was before???
Hi Azhar, I'm not a dermatologist so, I won't pretend to be qualified to answer that question. My opinion would be "yes" but I would encourage you to discuss it with a doctor or qualified professional. Sorry, I can't be more help. And thanks.

Hi Rita, You could but it's not that kind of protein. Drinking this after your workout is just fine but it's really not going to support muscle building directly. For building muscle (outside of eating real whole foods) I would recommend considering a good sugar-free Whey Protein Isolate. It's important to get "isolate" and not "concentrate". If it doesn't say "isolate" don't get it. "Concentrate" will have sugar which you don't want. Most Whey protein supplements have way too much sugar. So, beware of that. I hope that helps.
Hi Ed, That's a valid concern. Please understand that I'm not a doctor or expert of any kind and nothing I say should ever be considered medical advice. That said, I personally don't worry about it. Their products have been around since 2013. So, nearly 10 years. Many people that have been taking them for long periods of time. I would imagine if there were serious issues we would have heard about them. The difficult thing is that if any product comes from our environment there is a chance that it contains lead or some other undesirable substance. Heavy metals like lead, arsenic, or mercury are in the rocks, soil, grass, and trees. If you live in the state of California (I grew up there) you will see that warning on the label of many many products. Even some toys. You will even see a sign at Disneyland saying that the resort itself "contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." I think it's important to be cautious and prudent but when does it become too extreme? There is risk in everything we do. The problem with the label is that it doesn't quantify that risk. I'm not saying that the statement is false or irrelevant. I personally just choose not to worry about it. Much in the same way I'm not going to avoid Disneyland. Just my opinion. I sure hope that helps.
Hi! In addition to fish you also have bone broth, chicken, turkey, duck, (other poultry) and eggs. Not sure if that helps. I hope you get the results you are after.
I ve been using this for about 2months. I don't see any difference..am I not consuming in proper way or my body is not absorbing it? Please help me understand this
It's hard to say. I don't know your specific situation and I'm not a doctor. One thing to consider is that your body makes collagen. It needs the building blocks such as the correct amino acids found in foods (and supplements like this one). It also needs vitamin C, copper, silica and zinc. If you are deficient in those areas your body won't be very efficient at making more collagen no matter how many amino acids you are ingesting. The other thing to consider is age. As you get older collagen levels decrease. It's likely that people in their 40's. 50's, 60's and older will see more of a difference. Hope that helps.
Hi studebaker Larry, I haven't done much research on this topic. I have done a little and from what I understand it has not been shown to cure psoriasis but may help with the symptoms. Some people swear it has helped them considerably. We are all so different and can experience a variety of results. Sorry I can't answer your question more definitively. I would encourage you to do a little digging and see what you come up with. I would also encourage you to check with a qualified dermatologist. Hope that helps.
Hi sir i have a question I don’t wana lose weight but want to take collagen to improve skin, hairs bones but reviews about collagen on QUORA is not supporting protein collagen but on other pages n on youtube i have seen good reviews n i am confused i need your help sir i am tired of those who are only marketing products.
Hi Nazia, you don't need products. And you don't need to lose weight to take collagen. I personally have no interest in losing more weight. You can get collagen from the foods you eat. Great sources of collagen include bone broth (the best), salmon (with the skin on), ribs (don't remove the membrane), chicken (with the skin on), eggs (especially the yoke). Sardines and anchovies are also great sources of collagen. There are different kinds of collagen so it's best to get collagen from a variety of sources. I don't know much about QUORA, but If you are doing research about collagen, I would highly recommend getting your information from credible sources. Doctors, PhD researchers, Nutritionists. If you really want to take a supplement you can, and it doesn't have to be the one I'm reviewing by any means. A good "multi-collagen" supplement would be even better. I am not being paid to review this product. And at this point, I don't even have an affiliate link. So there is no financial incentive for me to "sell" this product to anyone. This is a topic I'm interested in also. So decided to try it myself. I can tell you that so far the things I've noticed by taking this particular supplement for a little over two months now is that my hair and fingernails are growing like crazy. I also feel like I have less joint pain overall. I hope this helps. It's hard to go into a lot of detail in this message but I hope it answers your question. Thanks!

Quora Digest is a liberal organization out of San Francisco. I have been doing my best in trying to get them off my lphone with no results. Sometimes they will appear on my Email with comments. I look to others for information on health issues. That's my only comment.
Hi Khan Ziyal, It's always best to check with your doctor. Here's an article that talks about collagen and high blood pressure: bit.ly/3v33JDd According to this study peptides derived from a food source were shown to decrease blood pressure. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2596738/ I also found another article (WebMD) that suggests there is no conclusive evidence that collagen peptides lower blood pressure. Here is a company selling their collagen supplement and showing a clinical study that indicates their collagen supplement was shown to lower blood pressure. wellnex-collagen.com/other-health-benefits/ Here's another article that talks about supplements to avoid in general when someone has high blood pressure. newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/supplements-to-avoid-when-dealing-with-high-blood-pressure/ Here's another article that talks about supplements you could consider. www.healthline.com/nutrition/supplements-lower-blood-pressure You can see there is a lot of information and it's not all conclusive. Again it would be best to check with your doctor and discuss your own personal situation. I hope this helps.
Any brand of collagen you recommend? I'm planning to try and buy one, and there are so many brands and types to choose from. Should I take it in powder form or tablet form?
Hi Shayne, I would very much recommend this one. Vital Proteins. They have quite a number of very good reviews. I've been taking it every day for a few months now and I can tell you from personal experience, Its a GREAT product. (they're not paying me to say that). I like powder because it's really easy to mix into any drink (at least this one is) and I just don't like taking pills. For an all-around collagen supplement, I would recommend Ancient Nutrition or Wholesome Wellness for Brands. I"m getting ready to try both of them because they are multi-collagen-supplements. A little more expensive but they have several forms of collagen. Which will be even more helpful. I hope this helps.

Hi Diane! I have heard the collagen is good for Crohn's disease but I haven't personally done the research so I'm hesitant to comment. Sorry, I can't be of more help to you on this.
Hi CurlyJow TV, Yes. Yes you can. If you are doing keto then I wouldn't add any sugar. Try a different keto -friendly sweetener like monk fruit or stevia. Hope that helps.
Yes, collagen powder and coffee make an excellent duo. This is also one of the easiest ways of reaching your protein goal for the day. We recommend using a hydrolyzed collagen powder, as it provides maximum bioavailability, which basically means your body is able to absorb and use the protein. Also, always choose an unflavored variety so you can add it to all your beverages and foods without it changing the taste or the smell.
It has been for me. I talked about it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/xlHue3XIFzM/v-deo.html And, if you check out the comments, you'll find multiple people talk about that specifically. Hope that helps.
Hi. If I drink this until I see the result, do I need to keep drinking it daily or take a break ( maybe 1-2 months) and then come back to drink this again.? Thanks
Hi Chinh, It's important to remember that Collagen is protein. Think of this as food. You can certainly drink it until you see a result and take a break. Just understand that if you are not finding another way to get more collagen in place of the supplement, then the "result" will eventually go away. It will go back to what it was before. I hope that makes sense. Exactly how long that takes is going to vary a little from person to person. It's a little like watering a plant. If you water a withered plant until it's green and full of life, then stop watering it, It will eventually wither away again to its previous state. I hope that helps.
Yes. fish / marine collagen contains type 1 collagen. Bovine (from cows) contains type 1 and type 3. The majority of the collagen in your body is made up of type 1 so taking a collagen derived from fish is still a very good option. The challenge comes down to how specific you want to be about the quality of the supplement. Farm raised fish are generally a poor option. Much of the marine collagen options available will come from farm raised fish. Something to think about. That said, conventionally raised cows aren't great either. If you can get a quality marine collagen supplement from sustainably harvested fish and or grass fed cows that's what you'd want to look for. There are also "multi-collagen" options available. Like this one: ua-cam.com/video/2ez-ue1u2AU/v-deo.html Hope that helps.
Hi Regina, You're very welcome. Thank you. That could be interesting. I'm not aware of vegan based collagen products. If I understand correctly there are vegan supplements that help boost your bodies own ability to produce collagen... Do you have a brand in mind? Outside of that there are foods you can eat (that are not animal based) that can help your body boost the nutrients you need to build collagen. Here's an article that you may find interesting. www.webmd.com/beauty/vegan-collagen-what-to-know#1
I usually drink it on it's own in an herbal tea, keto hot chocolate or smoothie in the morning. Often I don't have my "first meal" until later in the day. That said, I put a lot in my smoothies so I consider that a meal.
None that I'm aware of but I'm no doctor or scientist. They've been around for several years. It may be interesting to do some research into that topic.
This product works for me. I'm 44 years old. I started having pain in most of my joints at age 39, especially where I have had past injuries. It took 2 weeks to feel a difference, once I started taking it. After half a year of consistent use, I have no joint pain. I'm still stiff in some, but I've been able to walk and exercise, like I used to before the pain begin. I'm sure that a lot of benefits I've been seeing are do to being able to move again, but I wouldn't have gotten to that point without this one change. I stopped taking it a couple of times when I first starting using it, and it took a couple of weeks for pain to come back. I didn't stop taking it because of any side effects, I was just thinking it might have been a placebo effect, or maybe something else casusing the good results...either way, I wont stop again.

I'm 29, been taking it for 4 months now. Biggest improvement I see is in hair/joints. I used to have knee issues every now and then, at my job I'm always on my feet getting in and out of multiple vehicles, plus I workout 4 days a week, knees now never have any problems, feel great. Also shown to help with age related muscle mass loss. Sugar is the enemy of collagen, the more you consume to worse, it breaks down collagen fibers called glycation. So be careful with things like soda and juice both can be very high in sugar.
Remember collagen is just protein. It's food. So it won't hurt to start taking it now. Your body starts slowing down its own collagen production in your twenties. You can get more collagen from food sources as mentioned in the video but if you want to supplement it can only help. YES, you can mix it with orange juice. I haven't tried soda but it mixes very well so I don't see why not. Maybe the carbonation would make it difficult to mix... not sure. If you try it please let me know. I hope this helps. thanks!

Hi Faith, I wouldn't say that's normal but it happens to some people. You may want to consider a different brand like Ancient Nutrition or Wholesome Wellness.
I don’t know how old you are but I can tell you do need collagen if it really works because I heard when your collagen is depleted it’s gone no getting it back
Hi Joan, I'm 50 and you're right I totally need it. Some people say I look 70. Ouch! I'm very active and spend a lot of time in the sun. 😏 You're body makes collagen and most experts say that collagen production starts to slow down around your mid 20's. It still makes collagen throughout your life but to a smaller degree. The idea is to help your body be more efficient at collagen production by providing the building blocks to do it along with the vitamins and minerals it needs to go through that process. Preferably through consuming good quality whole foods. In addition, some people choose to add a supplement to their diet which is what I've been doing. So far it has helped. If you scroll through some of the comments you will see many many others who are seeing good results. Not just me. Hope that helps. Thank you.
@@JTJaredTaylor I just did now. The reason why I asked is that I was told collagen helps with new skin so I’m thinking if I start using collagen powder it will help reduce my Stretchmarks also
I started noticing a difference in a few weeks about 3 or so. Now (after a few months) my fingernails and hair are growing like crazy. I feel better and am going to keep taking this stuff for a long time.
I have to disagree!! I have been using Collagen for a while now and My Hair is Fuller, Thicker, My Nails are Strong, My Skin looks great, it HAS worked for Me!!! I get the powder like the one listed and another one and it does work, Sorry Dude!!!
Hi PeaceFan1! Thanks! It's so awesome to hear about the results you are getting! I'm not sure what you are disagreeing about... is it that I said you wouldn't see a difference in 7 days? Thanks for sharing your experience. I've gotten similar results. The guy who cuts my hair recently said, "wow your hair grows fast!!!" Kinda funny. I have to cut my fingernails way more often than I used to and my skin is looking better. So glad this is working for you. Thanks again.
I’m vegetarian and I have cholesterol ; so that’s mean I can take any animal protein ; so what about the fish collagen ; do have same results thank you .?
Hi Jose! Bovine collagen (cows) is made up of type 1 and type 3 collagen. Good or skin, hair, nails, and connective tissue. Marine collagen (fish) is made up of type 1. Great for skin. I haven't used marine collagen yet so I hesitate to comment on results but others have said good things. If you want to try it Vital Proteins has a marine version. You can find other brands as well. I hope that helps.
Supplements are a necessity when a person is a truck driver with no oven or microwave even, that same truck driver doesn't have a wife or kids yet and lives out on the road...So yes Supplements are a necessity, just as long as I don't go overboard with it 🙂👍
I’m having a skin bump or keratosis Pilaris at the back of my legs . And everytime I took this collagen powder from Vital Proteins I’m also having a Palpitations which is I’m having those reaction only when I’m not drinking a decaf Coffee and the worse part is aside from Palpitations is I’m also sweating some parts of my body I feel hot inside.
Hi Dalagang Pilipina, Are you saying that your body is reacting to Vital Proteins Collagen peptides with skin bumps, palpitations and sweating? If so, I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing. It would be good for people to know. It's hard to say but it sounds like an allergic reaction... This supplement may not be a good option for you. Thanks again for your comments.
I have watched several UA-cam videos discussing the efficacy of taking collagen peptides. At least half of those videos place a jar of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides directly in front of the speaker. Seems like an infomercial to me. Am I wrong? When I see that blue jar, I stop watching the video.
I do a shake in my ninja and I use about half the container of frozen strawberries 1 container of carbmaster yogurt (kroger) and the rest of the container in almond breeze (30 calorie per cup) and 2 scoops of this collagen…it’s just like having a strawberry milkshake!!
Yes. Teens can take collagen powder. My question would be why do you feel it may be an option for you? Keep in mind collagen levels don't start to decline until you're around your mid-20's. You don't need it as much as someone my age but it may still be beneficial for other reasons.
Hi Sailor, It shouldn't cause weight gain. There are no carbs and zero sugar. It should absolutely help with growing hair. Not sure if it helps "regrowing" hair if someone is losing their hair. I can tell you from personal experience my hair is growing faster than it ever has. I have to go get it cut much more often than I've had to my entire adult life! It's kinda crazy. I hope that helps.
Vital Proteins corporate head quarters is in the Chicago, IL area. (US) I believe they sell this same product in the UK. Someone else was asking me but for some reason I was unable to respond to their comment. Hope that helps.
Hey John, I used to take 800 to 1000 milligrams of ibuprofen every day for that reason. Keto changed all that. It has gotten even better since taking collagen. Hope it helps you as well.

Hi Charee, do you mean egg derivatives in THIS product? If so, no. There are not eggs or egg derivatives in this particular product. There ARE collagen products out there that do. I am going to be reviewing one of those soon. If you search for a "multi-collagen supplement" you will find some. I hope that helps.
Not really sure about dogs but I don't see why not. I did a quick search and there are actually collagen supplements specifically for dogs. One of those may be a better bet. Hope that helps.
Hi, There are many different kinds of protein. Collagen is a type of protein. There are also different types of collagen. Yes, protein help's build muscle as long as there is the right kind of demand placed on that muscle. When considering protein, you need the right kind of amino acids to build muscle, specifically leucine, isoleucine, and valine. And though collagen supplements generally contain a good amino acid profile they don't have high amounts of those amino acids. Certainly a little still helps and yes a collagen supplement will still help build muscle but if building muscle is the primary goal it may be better to focus on getting more BCAA's (Branch Chain Amino Acids). Hope that helps.
@@JTJaredTaylor amazing thank you so much. I take BCAA's and for my body I need around 160grams of protein a day. This collagen protein will help get there. Thanks again
Hi Dolly, You should be able to. Collagen is just protein. It's food. It should be just fine. I've seen several articles that suggest collagen is very helpful for promoting a healthy thyroid. Please understand that I'm not a doctor. If you're concerned about it I would recommend that you double-check with your doctor. Hope that helps.

I'm 74 years old now and I've had a cyst on my forehead close to the size of a bb just under the skin that has been there for probably thirty years, and about five months ago I started taking two tablespoons of collagen powder in my first cup of coffee every morning and now that cyst is just about gone.

It wasn't that noticeable back then.
I’ve been using this for about a year now. My hair started thinning after Covid. This Vital Protein collagen has helped thicken my hair as well as new hair growth. My nails are so much healthier also. Love this product.

Me too I really like it
How much bottles did you use until you notice change ?
@@rolarola6255 A few months so about 3 large sized ones you get from Costco.
So far I’ve been on collage for 3 weeks, switched to vital proteins 5 days ago and my curls came back and hair is bouncier. I def recommended if you are dealing with hair loss as far I can tell.
Awesome! That sounds like some good progress. Thanks for sharing!
@@GudInformation i actually read you get more nutrients in a juice rather than eating it cause some ppl have difficulty digesting that much fiber

You're very welcome. Is it from Vital Proteins? What ingredients does it list?
In addition to collagen, another thing a person should take is K2, it eliminates the wrinkles in the eye area, especially around the outsides of the eye. In Japan, they eat a lot of that in the form of Natto but a person can take a good D3/K2.
Thanks Eliza!
I use both K2 supplements Mk4 and Mk7. After a couple of months any Tarter on your teeth comes right off. Makes Calcium and D3 do their job as in making your bones and teeth stronger and helps clean arteries.

Just bought this today for the first time. Thank you for the video. Recommended serving is 2 scoops but then it mentions 1-2 scoops daily. How and when would you decide to take one or two scoops please .

I just started with this and am looking forward tosee the outcome. Thank you for this abundance of information.
Hey Love Photography, You are very welcome. Let me know how it goes. P.S. I love photography too! 😁
I have this exact product. I mix a scoop into a cup of coffee and I detect no taste. Out of curiosity I tried it in a cup of water: I tasted nothing.
I cannot taste anything when I add it to water or iced tea. I usually add it to my iced coffee and all I can taste is coffee since coffee flavor is strong. Thanks for the review :)

Um he responding to everyone comment but yours, quite suspicious
What about the Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein? Is it just as good?
Yes it is. Very good. I haven't used it yet but have done some research. I'm actually planning on doing a review in the future. One of the great things about it is just that. It's a "multi-collagen" supplement. It has more types of collagen in it. Which is great. Hope that helps.

Does this enhance estrogen? I can’t have anything with estrogen or anything that promotes it. I would appreciate a prompt response. Thank u
Make sure to look for grass-fed to really reap the most nutritional benefits."
and
"Collagen has minimal effect on hormones since it contains subtypes that are found in our bodies. Most people tolerate it well and it is extremely bioavailable."

Using collagen peptides may cause acne out break and constipate? if yes, can it be slove?
Hi 80, True that can be an unfortunate side effect. It "may" cause but it doesn't mean that it "does" cause. Have you run into this problem?
Since vital proteins contain protein , can I drink it after workingout for building muscle?
Hi Rita, You could but it's not that kind of protein.
Drinking this after your workout is just fine but it's really not going to support muscle building directly.
For building muscle (outside of eating real whole foods) I would recommend considering a good sugar-free Whey Protein Isolate. It's important to get "isolate" and not "concentrate". If it doesn't say "isolate" don't get it. "Concentrate" will have sugar which you don't want. Most Whey protein supplements have way too much sugar. So, beware of that. I hope that helps.
Can I take this while taking a fat burner and Creatine supplement?
Hi Ann, Yes you can.
@@JTJaredTaylor I forgot what about probiotics?
@@annlo1283 Yes, can can take this along with probiotics as well. Hope that helps.
Yeah I bought this product and noticed there was a lead exposure warning on the label what’s with that
Hi Ed, That's a valid concern.
You will even see a sign at Disneyland saying that the resort itself "contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm."
I think it's important to be cautious and prudent but when does it become too extreme? There is risk in everything we do. The problem with the label is that it doesn't quantify that risk. I'm not saying that the statement is false or irrelevant. I personally just choose not to worry about it. Much in the same way I'm not going to avoid Disneyland. Just my opinion. I sure hope that helps.
Dr. Axe recommends 30 days 3x a day to collagen load, then can cut to 1x day.
What if one doesn’t eat pork or beef? Looks like the only option is fish.😞 Thanks for sharing. I have started using this collagen.
Would this help people that have psoriasis which could be tied into a leaky gut syndrome

I heard they put vitamin c and a type of acid with the collagen peptides to help it work the way it works.
Yes, it looks like the newer version of this product has vitamin C and hyaluronic acid.

Should I avoid taking vital protein collegen if I have high blood pressure?
Hi Khan Ziyal, It's always best to check with your doctor.
Here's an article that talks about collagen and high blood pressure: bit.ly/3v33JDd
According to this study peptides derived from a food source were shown to decrease blood pressure. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2596738/
I also found another article (WebMD) that suggests there is no conclusive evidence that collagen peptides lower blood pressure.
Here is a company selling their collagen supplement and showing a clinical study that indicates their collagen supplement was shown to lower blood pressure. wellnex-collagen.com/other-health-benefits/
Here's another article that talks about supplements to avoid in general when someone has high blood pressure.

Can i take collagen powder with my black coffee? And with a teaspoon of brown sugar in?
Has anyone found this to be helpful for joint pain, I train and have shoulder pain! Thanks
One of my favorite products!
Is any difference between collega fish or the other?
Yes. fish / marine collagen contains type 1 collagen.

I hope this helps. thanks!

It still makes collagen throughout your life but to a smaller degree. The idea is to help your body be more efficient at collagen production by providing the building blocks to do it along with the vitamins and minerals it needs to go through that process.

Hi, I thought the protein will build muscle.
