Hello Dr.Berry. I'd like to express my thanks to you. Here is our three months of journey. My husband has a family history of high cholesterol. His doctor gave him different statins over the years. Even though he has no diabetes in his family, he developed Type 2 diabetes due to usage of statins - vicious circle. In December 2021, his A1C came out as 9.2, triglyceride as 612, cholesterol as 240. He has frightened one of your videos that you were talking about A1C level. We tossed out all his medication aside and tried a diet very closer to Keto for three months. In April 2022, his numbers came out as A1C as 5.9, triglyceride as 180, cholesterol as 202. It is doable to lower &/or reverse triglyceride, cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes without medications. I'd like to thank you for your afford to enlighten people with your videos.

Having an instant pot/pressure cooker has really helped me make my own bone broth - can do it in less than a couple of hours rather than taking up the whole day. In fact, I cooked a whole chicken one day (less than an hour) and then made bone broth the day after. It's a great cycle.

I am approaching 70, need to drop some weight and agree with most of the Keto diet plan. The sugars/white carbs/ alcohol/most dairy all need to be gone from my diet. The fermented foods will be a challenge. I love Kefir and will work on the rest. Regarding bone broth. I am going to try to use bones from organic/grass fed animals. Not sure I heard you cover that aspect. I just bought a container of unflavored gelatin that is made by Great Lakes. It is Kosher and from pasture -raised grass fed beef.

I love cooking pigs feet! I cook a half and half mixture of Tamari soy sauce and Sukrin Brown Sugar substitute and cook it down a bit. Then I add a little coconut oil to the bottom of a heavy dutch oven with the pigs feet and pour the soy sauce mixture over them. Then bake at 250 degrees for a couple of hours, until the collagen, which is basically all they are, is starting to separate from the bones. You can also cook these with some chili powder, salt, and a small amount of chicken bone broth. They rock!

I noticed some people complaining about the smell of beef bone broth. When I use less than 4 bay leaves the broth does have an off kinda odor. I've no idea why the amount of bay leaves makes a difference but it does.

Thank you Dr. Berry for sharing your bright ideas with us. I'm learning so much from your videos. Just started keto to get my blood sugars in control. I've only been doing the diet for 3 days and have lost 11 pounds of water weight which is great. I feel good, no cravings. Only problem is not being able to eat all of the meal at dinner, cuz I'm just not hungry. Im eating 2 meals a day. Guess I'll need to start blending my veggies to get them all in. Thanks so much for what you do. I love your sense of humor.

I love canned salmon! It has the skin, the bones, spinal cord,.. everything in it. And I use it all when I make salmon patties.
I also make my own bone broth fairly regularly..the chicken bones get so soft I can crush them with my fingers. I've thought about grinding them up and using the bone meal for supplement.
I also have some powdered Collagen Peptides that I take when I'm out of Bone Broth, or in addition to it after my daily swim.
Thank you for all the info. Keep it coming.

I have always preferred chicken with the skin and fat, and especially pork with the fat. I also love boiled eggs but had no idea the membrane was collagen. Almost all gelatin you find in stores is pork based, in case anyone is kosher like our family. Beef and fish gelatin are expensive but can be purchased from Amazon. Because I am lazy, I buy a couple rotisserie chickens, take off most of the meat, then put the bones in my crockpot with a little onion, celery, cabbage, garlic cloves, and salt. I cook that for 24 to 48 hours, then strain it. If I want to make soup, I will add cabbage, celery, and some of the chicken. It really is AMAZING!! I have no idea what the macros on my soup are, but I have been eating that pretty consistantly trying to help heal my leaky gut. I LOVE that there is collegen in one of my favorite meals!! My wrinkles keep begging for more, lol!!!

I do almost the same way, but everything we eat bone wise goes into a freezer bag and when I have enough I make broth I start a huge pot every couple days. I also try and save the odds and ends of vegetables and onion skins etc and use those instead of the more edible pieces. Definitely use at least 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar it helps break down all of the minerals in the bones. After 48 hours or more the bones are almost mush. I can make almost two gallons at a time on the stove. I finish it off with coconut oil on top it doesn't alter the taste if you let it cook ten minutes and helps greatly. I was able to heal ulcerative colitis within a month doing this and eliminating all grains. I drank almost daily to made into chicken soup with parsley on top. My gastroenterologist was astounded. Tastes better than anything I have found and very filling.

I think the easiest way to make your own bone broth is to slow cook chicken legs with veggies and herbs and extract the collagen gelatin the same way my mother did. Throw it all in and cover with water. Cook for about 7 -8 hours. 14 legs renders 2 quarts gelatinous broth. You can cook it a second round with a bit of ACV for 2 more quarts yield.

Absolutely loving this channel! This might seem a little bizarre but I have to mention it to any of you *pet owners* that are browsing. I just wanted to mention one thing about bone broths... If you're on a mission to give your pets the best nutrition that you can (right along with yourself) it is wonderful for them! However, *cat owners*, onion is extremely toxic to cats and is in most produced bone broth formulas that are on the shelves. So please, please, please be aware of this before you buy pre-made broth or mix up a big ol' batch for your household to share.

My hair is much fuller, my nails don't break anymore as they used to and my skin is literally glowing. One side effect I used to get from many other brands was bloating, heartburn, and sometimes headaches but not with this product. Absolutely love this product and highly recommend it.
