    First time viewer. My original search was “why do mobile home walls have wood strips?” I’m not quite sure as to why UA-cam suggested your painting video, but it was an adventure nonetheless. Good luck on your remodeling project.

      @Willie Cunningham you are correct we did not leave a gap. Although we have not had a problem with the flooring a gap would be good. Thanks for watching and commenting. ~Mr. C.

    When installing floor vent on top did you screw or nail it to hold the floor vent in place? Or did you just put it on top with out screwing or nailing it to the floor mats?

      @NaturesCadenceFarm  4 роки тому +2

      Michelle Smith we cut the foam kind of tight so we didn't have to screw them down. We liked how that looked better. They are snug, but can easily be popped out if needed. Thanks for watching. ~ Mrs. C.

    I'm about to move into a double wide and the floor in my room has been pulled up and thought this might be a simpler solution to laying the floor.
    But I wonder how this stuff will do with a bed, dresser, and a table/desk sitting on it?

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  9 місяців тому +1

      @redneckbigfoot3135 so far so good. We have been living in our mobile home with these floor in the bedroom since 2019. As you mentioned if a dresser or bed sits on it for more than a couple hours it will leave a forever indentation. It's not a problem because you just pull up that square and hide it under where the furniture has been moved. I will make a short update video for you and share the link in a new comment for you to check out. Thanks for watching and asking! ~Mr. C.

      Helen Wood it didn't fit by a smidgeon! We just didn't take the time to trim off that sliver b/c we covered it up with furniture! 😉 ~Mrs. C.

    Hi, contemplating this for a basement floor, once the carpeting is pulled up. Looks like an easy DIY install. Have you seen any discoloration or wear-fading in the high-traffic parts of the floor? Not sure how thick the actual coloration runs into the face of the tiles, but wouldn't want to see it start to rub away.

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  3 роки тому +2

      Brian Sharpe great question. The dark color goes all the way through to the bottom. We have not had any issues with fading or peeling. Hope this helps you in your decision process. ~Mrs. C

    do you think I could do this over a carpet? My room in my new apartment has ugly green carpet and I would love to do this same flooring over that

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  4 роки тому +1

      jaylin emily excellent question. I would say yes and no. Yes if it is a low pile carpet similar to commercial carpet. No if it is a thick squishy carpet. The tiles are pretty soft as it is and pull apart at the seams if given the chance to move around. Just a quick one year "living with it" review. It is still holding up and does not have any crazy noticeable wear. The only issues we have had is minor sun fading and furniture will leave dents . Thanks for asking and watching! ~Mr. C.

      Techie And Talkie it is very nice to walk on in bare feet and it has held up nicely. However we have noticed the furniture does leave dimples it the flooring and they do not spring back completely after the furniture is moved. Not a deal breaker for us but maybe to others. Thanks for asking. ~Mr. C.

    Is there an update yet on the wear of this flooring? Does it hold up good with kids that drag their feet or spill things? So curious now 🤔…

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  Рік тому +1

      Hi Lalah. This flooring is still in our bedrooms. It's holding up pretty good. It does indent with furniture feet. My teenage daughter messed up some of her pieces with a rolling office chair. Dragging feet I'm guessing would be okay. As far as spilling things, each piece is waterproof b/c it is foam, but large spills would seep though the joints down to the subfloor. The good thing is it is super easy to pop a piece out, wipe it up, and put the piece back in. I mop with a damp Swiffer. Hope this helps. ~Mrs. C

    I've been looking all night for something like this for my massage room. Great reviews on Amazon, but sadly they're currently unavailable. How have they held up for you?

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  4 роки тому +4

      Jennifer Jahns they have held up fairly well with normal traffic over the last year. You can poke a hole in it with the corner of a piece of furniture but it doesn't "spread" it it just a small tear on the face. The only negative I can give is this, it does not hold up to dog traffic. Our 110 Lb Malamute will easily make claw holes in it. This will usually happen when he will get up from laying down. Other than that we love this product for the price and easy installation. ~Mr. C.

      William Ramos furniture feet does indent it. Unfortunately it does stay indented after you remove the furniture, but you can rearrange the floor pieces to put back under the furniture when you move it. Thanks for the question. ~Mrs. C

    So how do you like the foam flooring now after a few months?

    • @NaturesCadenceFarm
      @NaturesCadenceFarm  5 років тому +5

      Steve Rovito I like the flooring system. It is quiet, soft , and warm. I do feel I should let you know the "cons" I have found. A table leg or dresser leg will leave a permanent divot if the furniture is left there for a day, but carpet will do the same over time. The up side to this is if you move the furniture around you might be able to move the floor square with it or just install a new square (takes 2 seconds). The other "con" I have found is the face can get cut or chipped with sharp cornered objects. For example I was crawling from one electrical outlet to another ( by the way the floor is very soft on the knees ) with a screwdriver in my hand and accidentally poked through the face of one tile. I can't even find the spot now but I heard the face "pop" when it happened. Again if it is a big problem just swap the tile out or move it under the bed :) . Thanks for asking, I hope this helps. Are you thinking of trying this product out? ~Mr. C.

      @@NaturesCadenceFarm well yes I am because after a long time, I will be owning my personal room (I have been waiting for it since my childhood till now. 25yrs in total😅. So finally we are shifting) The case is that the place where we are shifting is under renovation currently and since we belong to a middle class family, we can't afford to much cost for flooring at the moment, As my father is also suffering from Cancer so half of our money is being spent on his medication. So I was just looking for a cheaper and durable option until I could earn and get the permanent flooring done. Sorry to bore you with my whole long story but I felt like sharing a bit so I did.
