Thanks for tuning in! If I didn't answer a question you had about this floor, let me know. I will add them to this blog post here. diycreators.com/husky-pvc-floor-update/
One thing I was hoping you might touch on. Does sawdust make the floor slick? I was thinking about this in my basement shop (can't do epoxy while I'm also living here due to fumes) so I was thinking about this as a possibility.
These kinds of videos is one of the big reasons why I'm still around Glen, you always show your mistakes (nobodys perfect) and still interact with your audience and give us updates on projects also almost at 3 million congrats.
He more than most, cares about the message, where he combines multiple views and angles to demonstrate the point. He explains without being obtuse or wordy. Lastly I appreciate his text overlays, they help carry the message, they are easy to read, and have decent contrast. Thanks! 💯
This has to be one of the most detailed question answering videos I've seen in a long while. Love the examples of being able to see how things roll on the floor and how sawdust gets picked up, instead of just hearing the questions answered.
Take a bow. This is by far one of (if not ) the best review I have seen on ANY UA-cam video. Very organized, informative, concise, and well done on point demonstrations of every discussed issue. Thank you!
A few minutes in, I decided I wasn't interested in this tile, but I stuck around to watch the whole video and liked it just because of how well-detailed it was. FANTASTIC job covering everything you need to know.
Dude this update video is literally everything I have ever wanted out of any update video. Your editing is fantastic, and the questions asked and answered with video to accompany it is absolutely top notch. This is super good quality content.
Had a floor like this for about a year or two in our garage. Easy to install even on an uneven floor, with no issues with winter or summer temperatures. Used a jack underneath plenty of times too, holds up really well.
I watched your first tile video and was happy to see this one three months after installation. You do a great job at teaching us non-experts. I'm almost convinced to tile my garage floor. Thanks a lot for your wisdom and experience.
You might need a vapor barrier in a basement depending on how damp it is. Consider going with a straight plank vinyl floor, like LifeProof. It's not that much of a difference in cost and it's going to be way more comfortable than this thing, easier cleanup too. I would also recommend doing the concrobium fogger treatment of the bare concrete to discourage mold growth. Cheap insurance.
Another (and big) reason for not gluing them down is expansion. The plastic expands and contracts with changes of temperature. If you glue it, it will buckle. This is the same reason you need to leave room from the walls on all sides. Great video, I installed a similar product in my garage/workshop. LOVE IT.
I really appreciate the fact that not only did you answer the questions, but that you tested the questions out too. Jacking up a car for someone just to do it in any part of Florida this time of the year (I live in the Panhandle) will cause you to sweat. So kudos to you.
I just found your previous installing video on this because me and my husband want to redo our garage. I am amazed at how much time and effort you put into your videos. You go out of your way to do demonstrations for people. I only watched two videos and I’m already going to subscribe. Thank you.
I don't think I would use this on my floor but I appreciate you putting it there as an option. You are very thorough and I appreciate your attention to detail in your video on the installation and the few months later update. REALLY nice!
That was amazingly detailed. I'm just waiting for someone to have one more question! Thank you so much for taking the time to do the "experiments" and post your results. Love how the floor looks and hopefully you will post an update at the end of a year.
I just found your installation video and then moved over to this one. I think you've done an EXCELLENT job with these. Especially the question and answer video. I'm a carpenter that has a excellent reputation. It hurts and angers me to see all the shoddy work in the trades now. I honestly feel that you have put out the one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen. My compliments to you.
Oh my ! I love you video! So thought out and precisely explained. I know now what flooring to put in my garage. The 3 months after project is by far better than any other DIY video out there. Thanks so much. I am a retired architect and me and hubby are remodeling our house and I have been watching a lot of how to videos. You need your own home TV show!
I throughly admire how you’ve gone in depth to answer questions and concerns while showing it. I also appreciate how you keep it simple but detailed. Great job sir!
I did this type of treatment to my garage floor but I used Racedeck Flooring. I found two issues as time went on after installing. 1. My car was halfway out of the garage one day when I suddenly had to hit the brakes and it shifted the whole floor. To correct it, I had to back out and then pull back in and slam the brakes to shift it back! It took a few times to get it right. 2. When the garage is open on a hot Florida day, the front leading edge would sometimes bow upward. When it cooled down, it would flatten out. Otherwise, I love the look of the floor. With Racedeck, you can design the pattern on their website and they UPS the boxes of tiles.
I appreciate all the Answers to the questions… I asked a question to someone (not you) and I’m still waiting 6 months later. I always found your videos very informative.
Gee, that’s the most detailed review of any garage floor system. Super impressed with your shop vacuum too! Your channel is one of my favourites too. Love the use of graphics when you are doing a build video. Logical, neat and great projects. Thanks again. And greetings from the south western corner of Australia. Thanks,
Glen, your channel is amazingly inspiring and detailed. It's clear you care about your viewers getting value from your projects. Great job and keep up the great work!
Wow! Female DIY here, and loving this idea for the husky tiles with my new house/garage that was never finished 20 yrs ago! Thanks for sharing alllll the info, husky owes you!!!
This is one of the best and most complete videos I have ever seen! The effort and total areas you covered deserves applause! Really, I'm just amazed. Thank you for ALL your efforts!👍💪💪
I'm not even looking for a new garage floor, but I still found this fascinating. Very thorough and excellent overview of the product and your experience! Thanks!!
This is an amazing follow up. Thank you! I'd be interested to see how it holds up a year from now as well (although you already convinced me to do this to my garage!)
After having a semi-pro do a bad epoxy job on my garage (pro painter, did a great job re-painting all the indoor walls), I was thinking of going with tiling but had so many question. This video answers them all! Thank you!
I appreciate you taking the time to follow up on your impression of the floor after a few months. Very helpful. Also, I appreciate the fact you provided straight forward answers without and stayed on track. Your videos are great, keep it going!
Thanks for taking the time to go through your experiences with this flooring system Glen. I'm considering something very similar for my workshop and this has answered several of my questions well.
Dude! I never would have thought about many of those questions. But I really appreciate how you took it all in stride and answered everything, with respect and professionalism. Thank you for doing this vid. I will look into getting this for my shop.
I extremely appreciate that you came back on and told us how it all worked out at a later date....You gold me on this floor and youve done a great job of explaining everything. Something we dont get much of these days.....THANK YOU
Nice looking floor. I put down VCT tiles in my garage about 7 years ago here in the north east and they are still holding up nice, was skeptical at first with the cold weather but I never had one come loose
very nice! I did this years ago in my garage...and even added some old rugs from the house over the foam tiles. It has made my garage nice and cozy in winter. I'm surprised how so many will focus on insulating the garage door without realizing...much more heat is lost through the concrete floor. and...the water heater. again, most do not know that to maintain a water heater, if once a month you drain a gallon from the heater it will last forever...and this is especially true if you live in an area with hard water (minerals in the water).
Outstanding. Install and creation videos are a dime a dozen. Far fewer follow-up videos. Follow-up with this level of reader-focused answers WITH focused testing examples to support and explain them are almost unheard of. I enjoy your videos. These two assured my support.
When buying this type of flooring, always get extra just in case. I use the more foamy type in my house and what I have found over the years is the patterns go out of fashion per se quite quickly. The type I covered my basement with, in just 2 years I can no longer find. There are similar ones, but the connecting patterns are incompatible, the patterns are different, the thicknesses are different, etc.
That's a bummer but yes good advice. An optional solution to maintain uniformity would be to create a pattern with the new replacement tiles so the color difference looks intentional, like every 3x3 area has the bottom right tile replaced with the new color, etc.
Great and very thorough video series. I really appreciate it. I live in Michigan where we have snow half the year. I'm afraid of melted snow with salt getting under the tiles and not evaporating. I installed very similar tile in my laundry room years ago. We had an overflow and I had to remove the tiles because it wouldn't dry underneath. Those tiles were flat with no air flow system underneath. I will do some more investigation. Thank you!
This is your second video I watched (the first one was placing these tiles). great job on answering all the questions and I think you are very thorough in making this video. I love all the clips thoroughly explaning all what if scenario's.
I installed that one on my garage it’s so nice and save money because when I bought it at home depot it’s on sale like $14 a box of six tile inside it’s four years now still look good thank you for your vlog my friend
Dude, that was a spectacularly informative video. I’ve been thinking about theses tiles for a while, and your video really, really helped me know how good they are. Much appreciated!
You've done an excellent job gathering and answering questions. I very much liked the original how to and the fact it included a few, 'this is why you don't do it this way', segments. Great vids!
They should be paying you for this one. So many questions answered and tests done on this flooring. Now anyone can be sure if it's right for them or not.
Excellent first video and love that you did the follow up. Surprised it was near the same cost as epoxy. I was considering epoxy at one point...but like you said having to go without hot water, and find a place for all my tools... yikes. I could ask them to do it in two halves but I imagine that would add to the cost. Thanks again for the great info
I did this after watching your video, except I got both the gray and black tiles to create a checkered floor. It came out very well. I bought 28 boxes, but really only needed 26 in the end.
Wow I watched the install and liked your content, but the in depth review testing it out for us and answering so much gets the subscribe! I can’t wait to see more of your content
You covered everything. I am looking at all garage floor covering, and Epoxy is my favorite, but I worry about peeling after a while. I went to price these out and yes, they are expensive, but I see it as long lasting and non-peeling and if one tears you can replace the one. That was a great video. Thank You
I actually felt pain when you made the mess, I know the pain of never being able to get a clean floor in the garage. I was thinking of doing diy epoxy but might change to the tiles instead from the info you gave here.
Thanks for the update on this floor and all the illustrations. This was more helpful than just word of mouth. Well done!👍🏾 Hopefully this company sponsored this video. You gave them a very good review.
Big thumbs up to follow up videos. Most things look good when they are first installed but seeing how they hold up after a few months is invaluable info. Good stuff.
Glen: “I’m not gonna try turning the car wheels over the tiles, it will most likely damage them” Also Glen, 15 seconds earlier: “Let’s see how this handles heat” **literally tries to set a tile on fire** Seriously though I love how detailed and thorough you always are, good stuff
While I don't always want to make the project you show in a video, I always learn something of value. Your "usually in the corner of the screen, where am I in this build" graphic should be a requirement of all builder channels! (No one else does or no one else does it consistently & as effectively). On the floor, these long term reviews are far more useful than a right after purchase/install review. The fact that you planned to make such a video, followed thru, answered questions, showed pitfalls & how to avoid them, as well as the product's unvarnished weaknesses.....that is why you are one if the best channels out there, youtube or otherwise).
You're awesome! Thanks for sharing the videos on this project. I'm loving these and the other videos on your channel. Did you ever think of using multiple colors to create a pattern or show parking area, etc?
Watch and read some Jordan Peterson, he’s not a substitute for the love of a father, but he can certainly teach you some of the virtues that fathers are meant to instill in their children. Best wishes
I REALLY appreciated this video as I am considering tiles. I live in central OH and in the winter, we get large chunks of ice/snow dropping off the cars. Therefore I don't want the grid type. Glad to hear that these are not slick. Thanks
DIY Creators is the hardest working guy in DIY! These videos are well planned, very thorough and understandable. Plus, most projects are done with cost savings in mind. Great work. Great work ethic. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I was going to do epoxy but after watching your video I've changed my mind and I'm assuming the color are endless. Thank you once again very honest and low key funny.
Thanks for the detailed explenations and review. As someone who lives in South Africa and recently bought a home this (and your whole channel) is without a doubt the most inspiring motivation I have seen in a long time!! Also, I have rented many homes in my life and this solution will go a long way in saving money in the long run. Not only will it save cash on cleaning stains when you need to move to a new premis but you can literally take it with you while retaining the sentimental footprint of each project you worked on :) Top notch videos!!!!
Five years - very happy with mine. This, and the companion original installation video, provides excellent guidance. I used the Blue Hawk Raised Coin PVC tiles from Lowe's, they are currently 20% less expensive than the Husky from Home Depot. I covered most of my garage floor in gray with a an 8' x 12' black tile rectangle for each car. The only thing I am unhappy with is that the black tiles, and the gray though less so, show tire tracks. I think it's the heat of the tires after driving home. I've tried several cleaners, still there. I'll try the mineral spirits when things warm up here.
Looks great, I think I'll look into this when I move... another bonus to this system you hadn't mentioned is you can remove it and take it to your next shop!
Mahalo for sharing this product and your opinion. Getting ready to redo my garage entirely. This flooring system has become the front runner. Aloha braddah.
U are my new online DIY bestie😂... I move into my house next month and your videos have been soooooo informative and has built up my confidence for going after a few projects!! You're much appreciated!!!
Nice update! This kind of surface is nonporous so it cleans up MUCH better than concrete, which is very porous and will retain stains, oils and things of that nature. And the fact that they can be replaced if damaged or marred in some way is another advantage it has over just bare concrete. Speaking of which, it's always a good idea to order about 10-15% more tile than you need because you might screw up somewhere along the line (especially if this is your first time doing something like this) and/or it's good to have some backup tiles in case you need to replace some down the line.
I would think that if you want to work on a car or other vehicle on top of these tiles and might need to turn the wheels while stationary, you could set down a whole sheet of plywood on top of the tiles and park the vehicle on top of the plywood so turning the wheels doesn't damage the tiles. The plywood can be stored on its long edge against the wall, but it may hog up wall space or be difficult to access if you store other items in front of the plywood sheet. Just a thought.
Thank you so much - both videos about the floor were great. I really appreciate your thorough instructions and 2nd video with your honesty about how this floor performs. Our garage floor is a mess! This is very helpful.
You seem like the type of friendly dude that everyone would like as a neighbour. Not because you could do diy for them. I don’t mean that. Just because you seem like a decent guy. I bet you have a lovely family and polite well behaved kids 🙏🏻
Wow, I watched your installation video this morning and was very impressed with how you did the video and how you did the floor installation. I had a couple of questions that I wrote you in the comments and you answered all of them in this video and more! I also really like the demonstrations and examples that you provided, all very helpful. I also enjoyed your humor that you provided as well. I certainly look forward to seeing more of your videos soon. Ken
I used these in my basement gym. Just to be safe I put water lock under them and have not had a problem with moisture. I only did a 10x10 space but they work great.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this product. You are a credible source of information and you covered many of the practical issues I have with this flooring.
Great quality video! Addressed questions in an organized, systematic, clear and succinct manner, with video examples/proof provided to clarify and justify your answers. Husky could use this as a great FAQs for their product. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Thanks for tuning in! If I didn't answer a question you had about this floor, let me know. I will add them to this blog post here. diycreators.com/husky-pvc-floor-update/
Great follow up, thanks for posting!
Thanks for following up with all these clarifications. Great video. Hope the floor keeps holding up for you.
Thank for the review and answer ?’s
Just subscribed to your channel. Your work is magnificent! Please project a simple diy slide for toddlers. Thank you.
Pobody’s nerfect*
He more than most, cares about the message, where he combines multiple views and angles to demonstrate the point. He explains without being obtuse or wordy. Lastly I appreciate his text overlays, they help carry the message, they are easy to read, and have decent contrast. Thanks! 💯
Glen is awesome, he’s my motivation to always try and do stuff like this. He’s very inspirational.
A: Your editing and video is excellent
B: Your product testing is excellent
C: Husky need to pay for your hard work!
This has to be one of the most detailed question answering videos I've seen in a long while. Love the examples of being able to see how things roll on the floor and how sawdust gets picked up, instead of just hearing the questions answered.
Dude, you went the extra mile and tested all the questions - you da man! Great 2-part review boss, major props and thanks for sharing 🤘🏼
What a terrific review. You’ve answered most of the questions I could think of. Might be a solution for my basement
Do you think these types of tiles would hold up OUTDOORS on a patio that get a lot of sun/heat?
Another (and big) reason for not gluing them down is expansion. The plastic expands and contracts with changes of temperature. If you glue it, it will buckle. This is the same reason you need to leave room from the walls on all sides. Great video, I installed a similar product in my garage/workshop. LOVE IT.

I don't think I would use this on my floor but I appreciate you putting it there as an option. You are very thorough and I appreciate your attention to detail in your video on the installation and the few months later update. REALLY nice!
Why wouldn't you use it? What are your drawbacks?
That was amazingly detailed. I'm just waiting for someone to have one more question!
Thank you so much for taking the time to do the "experiments" and post your results.
Love how the floor looks and hopefully you will post an update at the end of a year.
You are welcome!
I think this might be a better advert for the product than the company’s advert.
I actually expected him to say he was being sponsored by the manufacturers! Double Kudos for remembering to do an update!!
This was GREAT! I have been looking at epoxy, polishing the floor, and PVC tiles. This is the best overview of PVC tiles that I have seen. Thank you.
I throughly admire how you’ve gone in depth to answer questions and concerns while showing it. I also appreciate how you keep it simple but detailed. Great job sir!
I did this type of treatment to my garage floor but I used Racedeck Flooring. I found two issues as time went on after installing. 1. Thank you for the update! I am also embarrassed I didn’t try using wd40 to help clean up an oil spill. Thank you for the tip.
I appreciate all the Answers to the questions… I asked a question to someone (not you) and I’m still waiting 6 months later. I always found your videos very informative.
Showing the samples along with talking about the answers was really good!
Thanks,
Your combination of explanations and demonstrations is spot on! You are an excellent communicator. Thanks for sharing.
This "after" video proves your commitment and dedication. I appreciate you.
Glen, your channel is amazingly inspiring and detailed. It's clear you care about your viewers getting value from your projects. Great job and keep up the great work!

This is an amazing follow up. Thank you! I'd be interested to see how it holds up a year from now as well (although you already convinced me to do this to my garage!)
I am amazed at the amount of detail you placed into this video, thank you for showing so many possibilities! AMAZING!
Excellent video. I love seeing post-installation or “post-review” reviews.

Great review, man!
Love how you showed us instead of just talking about it.
These tiles and your follow up video have swayed me towards installing these tiles instead of an epoxy floor. Thanks again.
I extremely appreciate that you came back on and told us how it all worked out at a later date....You gold me on this floor and youve done a great job of explaining everything. Something we dont get much of these days.....THANK YOU

Clear, concise, addresses my questions and some I should've thought of! Decided to DIY my garage instead of having a paid service do it with poly.
The manufacturer should definitely send you some cash for doing these videos. You’ve done an amazing job reviewing this product.

Great vids!
Very impressive that you went through all that time and effort! 👏
This guy was awesome. Simple, short, answered questions before we asked and no bullshit!!
Thanks for the update! I am considering installing these tiles in my garage.
They should be paying you for this one. So many questions answered and tests done on this flooring. Now anyone can be sure if it's right for them or not.
Excellent first video and love that you did the follow up. Surprised it was near the same cost as epoxy. I was considering epoxy at one point...but like you said having to go without hot water, and find a place for all my tools... yikes. I actually felt pain when you made the mess, I know the pain of never being able to get a clean floor in the garage. I was thinking of doing diy epoxy but might change to the tiles instead from the info you gave here.
Best question and answers i have ever seen. I hope the company sent you something from all this hard work you did for them selling this floor
Good stuff.

On the floor, these long term reviews are far more useful than a right after purchase/install review. The fact that you planned to make such a video, followed thru, answered questions, showed pitfalls & how to avoid them, as well as the product's unvarnished weaknesses.....that is why you are one if the best channels out there, youtube or otherwise).
thanks for the update
You bet
One of the best reviews I have ever watched on UA-cam. Thanks.
You're awesome! Thanks for sharing the videos on this project. I'm loving these and the other videos on your channel. Did you ever think of using multiple colors to create a pattern or show parking area, etc?
excellent presentation; gotta love a guy who is so meticulous about his work space
i need a father so i watch these building garage and fixing house videos
Watch and read some Jordan Peterson, he’s not a substitute for the love of a father, but he can certainly teach you some of the virtues that fathers are meant to instill in their children. Best wishes
@@BurnoutsAndBourbon That hypocritical druggie? Ewww.
God is the only Father we should want...not that father of all lies (satan)
😇🔥😎😀
I REALLY appreciated this video as I am considering tiles. I live in central OH and in the winter, we get large chunks of ice/snow dropping off the cars. Therefore I don't want the grid type. Glad to hear that these are not slick. Thanks
Woow, nice one Bro
Thanks 🔥
I use the tile in my basement Laundry room. What a game changer. Love it! I would do the whole basement but can’t afford the cost.
Now THIS is what quality UA-cam content should look like. Fantastic, my brother. Thank you.
DIY Creators is the hardest working guy in DIY! These videos are well planned, very thorough and understandable. Plus, most projects are done with cost savings in mind. Great work. Great work ethic. Thanks!
Nice looking floor. Thank-you for the level of effort that you went to to answer folks’ questions.
Not only will it save cash on cleaning stains when you need to move to a new premis but you can literally take it with you while retaining the sentimental footprint of each project you worked on :)
Top notch videos!!!!
Hi are you saying the gray tiles show tire stains but not the black tiles?
I'm not even a handyman, but was entertained and learned something from this line of videos
You are so thorough. Thanks for doing this for us. Appreciate all your time.
Looks great, I think I'll look into this when I move... another bonus to this system you hadn't mentioned is you can remove it and take it to your next shop!
Excellent review.
I will most certainly use these on my new workshop.
Thank you
Mahalo for sharing this product and your opinion.
I didn't know I would fall in love watching this garage floor video 🤍
You seem like the type of friendly dude that everyone would like as a neighbour. Not because you could do diy for them. I don’t mean that. Just because you seem like a decent guy. I bet you have a lovely family and polite well behaved kids 🙏🏻
Haha, Thanks! I try to be decent. I am blessed my daughter is well behaved and kind.
Wow, this is an extremely comprehensive review of this tile floor system. Bravo.
I really like how you answered most questions with visual references. Well done
This was a very well done, comprehensive and honest video. Thanks. I agree with the customer that said Husky should pay you for this!
Great quality video! Addressed questions in an organized, systematic, clear and succinct manner, with video examples/proof provided to clarify and justify your answers. Husky could use this as a great FAQs for their product. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
This is one of the best post install follow ups/ reviews/ q&a/ test/ demonstration videos I've ever seen for any product. SUBSCRIBED!
