Let the build begin!! Today, we start the Wrecked Porsche Cayman GTS rebuild. For today's episode, we dive in to see how bad the damage really is. We take off all the wrecked parts to see if anything is hidden. So far, the GTS looks good!

Dustin is in his full Euro Arc right now between two Porsches and the M2 and I am all for the vibe.
Dustin you have to pull the damage first before cutting . This will release stress in the non damage part and unsure the alignment of the new part
I came here to say this.
Ensure, not "unsure", but yeah I definitely agree. Once they get the front end down to the bare chassis, they need to take it to a frame shop and get it pulled/straightened as much as possible.
You can't pull aluminium body frames 😅
@@AmonShaw177 the panels not the frame and yes you can . Now it is not the same as steel. But the point it to release the stress.

Make sure them 2 front rail ends are straight my man, you cannot pull them since theyre aluminium, so if theyre out of square youll have a not so fun time doing your tub rebuild

That’s what happens where you build a shop to look cool versus usable! , I feel it would make more sense to just drive right in,I mean don’t get me wrong your making moves and I don’t even have a garage… so keep up the good work!!

Watch out it doesnt get too rear heavy when the tub is cut out and come off the lift! Dont need to be replacing the rear end aswell hahaha

Pretty crazy seeing the likes being around 80 at the start of this episode and in the 22:09 of watching from beginning to end, the likes quickly jump well over the 200 mark and continues to climb. That’s when you know you’ve made it and you have great content! Awesome stuff as always and the GTS is going to be awesome to watch being revived for sure.

That’s pretty wild how it can all come apart that way . Didn’t expect that .
You're probably way past this but consider using some straps to keep the main part of the car on the lift since you're removing so much weight from one side of the car. Be safe.

Bro is going full porsche boy and I'm here for it.
I would’ve made a $40 trip to Harbor freight for some roller dollies that would’ve made your life a hell of a lot easier for getting it in the shop. Also they’re really nice to have for moving vehicles around in the garage.

You need to paint it in PTS Yachting Blue Metallic. Trust me, extremely classy color and will go nicely with your 911.

@@dustiinw The only other thing I'd highly recommend is getting the 918 carbon buckets. They're kinda expensive but totally worth it. Hit me up if you do and I can send you custom inserts for them.
Definitely got lucky on not such damage on the front. But definitely have alot of stuff to take off and put back on. LOL. Cant wait to see when its done!

I wish you'd do more than one episode a week, or at least make the episodes longer if you just do one video per week. Like maybe a 30 minute video? At least until you get the base car rebuilt and drivable. Then you can do shorter episodes for the mods and upgrades. Lol just an idea.

Editing is disappointing comparing to the editing few years back. I follow Dustin for 8 years but I don't think he enjoy doing videos like before. This is his job now not hobby so that why maybe he is lost his spark.

My shop entrance is on a slope and the car would’ve been really difficult to push it on rollers into the shop

Dustin do not just cut it with a saw drill through the rivets and it might have panel bond so beware of that too
