Today we make MASSIVE progress on the GTS rebuild. After cutting the front tub off.. we finally got a new front tub and frame rails on! Now, it's time to test fit the body kit and get this thing back on the road.

Why would you take the frame rails off the new tub to put different frame rails back on? Just drill out the excess at the join and leave the full tub and rails together to fit as one
He could’ve saved a lot of money and time by using the already straight rails
I wonder if the recycler cut the rails (just further back), so that they weren't usable? Anyone know if there is an exploded view of the 981 chassis online somewhere?

Favorite part so far not only the journey you have taken us on with this build so far, but SOS really did come in and save the day! If those frame rails were still off on position, then this entire thing would have been a WRAP! Looking great so far and Im pumped to see Episode 5! Still holding out for a custom wide body amd wide meaty tires and wheels!😁😁

This was epic! You asked what has been our favorite part of the series so far, and this episode has probably been my favorite part thus far. It's just so satisfying seeing everything come together at the end of the video. I love that this whole project thus far has pretty much been a complete team effort. Can't wait for the next episode!!

I don’t know how you made this feel so suspenseful but you did lol
God I feel your pain having done something almost identical on a 981 last year albeit my chassis rails were good. 3mm drill the rivets out, a 10mm to take the head off and then punch them out with an air hammer. Heat is essential to easily separate the panels
My favorite part has been finding the tub after hours and hours of phone calls and searching

Your not welding the frame rails back together? Make sure if its aluminum you take those pieces apart and clean the paint and what not off so it can be welded

I dunno how far along you a e in real time, but it might be a good idea to contact Jack from Tavarish's channel for some basics on getting things square and lined up and keeping them that way when you start reassembling and seam/butt welding.
