Ecscūs mē, but wat abaut: ñ
honestly I dont think it would be that useful in english. I can't think of very many words that would need it, compared to 'ng' which appears everywhere

I actually agree with most of this. CH not being a letter is stupid.
We call it ç in turkish
In Hungarian it is Cs

To be fair, we already used to have a letter for TH, it was known as Þ (Thorn). It became retired because it apparently looked too much like Y, although nowdays it looks more like P.
Edit: ok so turns out that was not the case; typwriters didnt have þ on them so they just used the letter Y with an E above it like an exponent.
thron was being less and less used in 16century, and then everyone forgotten about it
Thank you for pointing this out... Finally someone is being historically acurrate.
this man lost an internet argument because of spelling mistakes and now has gone mad
As an apandah fan i never graduated kindergarten so this is gonna help me put food on the table.

Obviously not, why the fuck are you using Old English
I watched a half an hour video essay just called "C" by jan Misali and why you can't just remove the letter c from english.
The fact that it took them 29:36 long video to defend the letter c, but it took apandah just 5:29 to fix 90% of the English language I think speaks for itself.
To be fair, Misali goes into a 20 minute tangent about the history of the letter and why the /k/ sound is spread around K, C and Q
thought i was the only one who watched random obscure content. Nice misali ref.
jan Misali is cool and all i like their vids but like, apandah is simply better

I love watching thorn. So much.
:Þ is better than :P change my minnd
In Russian there are also the letters ч and ш/щ for the ch and sh/sch sounds
I use Þorn and ðat when taking notes so I can keep up with lectures...I also invented so many letters that substitute so many small words just so I can end up writing way faster. No one understands my notes but me and I sometimes invent new letters on the go.
Ok but then in Poland we have to also deal with ą ę ć ż rz ź dż ch ó ł ń. Btw ż and rz are the same letter, have the same meaning and are spelled the same but sometimes you have to use one and sometimes the another based on some rules. Same goes for h and ch. And as if that wasn't enough, ń and ć are literally the same thing as ni and ci
Ikr. I believe we should just fuckin' get rid of those.

There was a letter used in old English that replaced all instances of 'th' ; it was known as thorn, written þ (lowercase) or Þ (uppercase). Some languages still use it, I believe, but the 'th' sound is definitely its own thing similar to 'ch'.
I believe those languages are Icelandic and Faroese!
btw the letter is called thorn for anyone wondering

Czech and most Slavic languages, in general, have letters for some of your ideas
Sh = Š
Ch = Č (Ch is also a separate letter, but I don't know how I'd describe the sound in English)
In the cyrillic alphabet there's also
Sh - Ш ш
Sht - Щ щ
Ya - Я я
Ts - Ц ц
Zh - Ж ж
And
Yu - Ю ю
In turkic languages, these letters posses the same purpose with those letters you have demonstrated.
Ş = Sh
Ç = Ch (as in channel or chip)
in romanian we have sh - ș and tz - ț and some more fancy letters that i cant really describe the sound of :) its kinda cool being able to read everything with like 2 rules

words that i'm convinced were added to english simply to mess with people:

forecastle - pronounced "f-oh-k sol"
coxswain - pronounced "kok sen"

@@sowelilili in russian Ц is cool but in english it would be used in like 5 words and everybody pronounces it like a separate 'T-S' anyway (eg pizza) or even just like an S (eg tsunami).
