Im sure ive forgotten somethings ive wanted to say but eh oh well. i'm also sure i have repeated myself a lot. this twitter rant might be as repetitive as all the minecraft among us youtubers out there. If Twitter had a way to dislike tweets, people would be way more careful with what they say on there
I feel you can already do that through ratioing people though.
The only problem I see with the ratio is you have to accept the counter-argument being used for said ratio. I myself am more of a 1-5 star rating enjoyer, like the old days.

As I deleted my twitter, I legit felt a significant change in my mental health and felt 10x better than I was. Twitter is a big fucking mistake to humanity and we need to erase it from existence.
If Twitter ends, they'll just find another place to be retards. Unless another platform appears, my money is on Reddit. Not because of the people that are already there, but because of the option to make text posts. Although on Reddit it's harder to build personal popularity, which I think is why this Twitter kind of people chose Twitter and not something else. Same here, I describe shit as stupidly autistic, and considering my autism has the stupidest name ever (the ol 'Ass-Burgers') I feel like I've definitely got somewhat of a right to at least joke about it. Twitter also does the thing of trying to baby autistic people cuz they think that because we're autistic, we're drooling, mindless morons who need to be pampered. For a site that likes to see itself as very accepting and progressive and respectful, they sure know how to make cruel assumptions and treat some less than others.

Like all social media, it's allowed stupid people to make themselves visible on a scale that just isn't possible without it. The density of stupidity worldwide has remained the same but social media has allowed us to see an exponentially larger amount of it than we ever could without it.
However, Twitter is different than other platforms. It's designed in such a way stupid shit is vended straight to the user, which the latter thing you mentioned is partly responsible for generating.
This creates a huge echo chamber where smart takes aren't rewarded, and smart people aren't accommodated. Twitter has a huge brain drain problem because it's userbase is inadvertently performing a self lobotomy every day. The density of stupid people on Twitter increases because smart people leave, not because smart people become stupid.

I never used Twitter and still refuse to, but I’ve found on similar sites that I use (most notably tumblr) you basically have to state what minority you are if you want to be taken as least somewhat seriously in an argument. Exactly! It disturbs and disgusts me so much how people treat anyone with some disorder like a child or cute puppy, it's pure objectifying. Why is it so hard for some people to still treat others like a normal person after they find out there's something about them that makes them different? It's not as if out of the blue Markiplier's entire personality and character changed once he revealed this fact, he's always been the same person but is now being treated different and it just makes me worry for other content creators or just people in general who also have some similar disorder but are too afraid to tell the public because of shitty people like this.

I’ve had diagnosed adhd since like 4th grade, I’m a junior now, and from how I was raised, I have been told time and time again by my parents not to just let my disorder control me, or to give me an excuse to fail, and I took that to heart. I’m extremely grateful to my parents for giving me such a philosophy, because it allows me to take pride in the fact that I actively try to overcome my condition. I have an extreme aversion to using it as an excuse, so when I do bring it up, I am doing so to inform more so than using it as a warning or a scapegoat. But then these mfs come along and blame everything on adhd, and act all quirky about it. It grows a bad rep of people with adhd to others who don’t really know about it. So when I tell an acquaintance I have it, there have been times where they treat me like I’m mentally incapable on the same level, or that I require special attention. And if I say anything heated or angry or provocative, they’ll be like “someone forgot to take their meds” like I’m a toddler. Seriously, screw those people that have to use their mild mental disorder as an excuse as to why they can’t figure out a work ethic.
Your comment resonates with me, especially the part about people trying to use adhd as a scapegoat. I was also diagnosed when I was younger, and I’ve had to actively work to succeed and overcome the problems it brings. More power to you, and the fact that you don’t use your disorder as a crutch.

ooooooh broo, i was diagnosed with adhd when i was 7, after therapy, My therapist never told us that adhd doesnt get cured, then i went like 6 years without my adhd being treated because i was sure that i didnt have it anymore (lawl, welcome to latin america) and it kind of became a problem by that point, however when the psychologyst told me that the adhd never actually went away, i started giving a lot of effort to almost everything i did, because i knew the cause of the problems that made most situations (especially academical in my case) harder, so whenever i got a slightly bad grade the last thing that would come into my mind was to blame my adhd and i would beg the teacher for another oportunity, always tried my best to not get distracted and if it happenned i would apologize and try harder, i would occassionaly use my adhd as a joke, because i usually like laughing at things that affect me, so ive come to see adhd not as a disadvantage but as a thing that makes me a sort of comedic relief to everyone around me, and that makes me feel very good even if it is a disadvantage some times.
I'm always paranoid I have this or that disorder but I have let my close family know that, and I don't express it with anyone else. I have been paranoid I have adhd, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc, that I am abusive, a pedophile, a zoophile, incestuous, etc. I'd say it's a form of purely obsessive ocd but my social anxiety is too high to open up to a therapist. I am now getting rid of my cat that I've had for two years because I am paranoid I am abusive towards her, even though she shows no signs and I never hurt her. I get in a circle of, "well what if I only convince myself I treat her well." That being said, talking as someone who is a hypochondriac with mental illness, NEVER EVER act like a spokesperson for mental illness that you weren't diagnosed. If I have the sense to do that everyone should. At the same time people do open up about their illness. I often feel like I have to confess. Some of this is obviously darker themes so it's hard for me to open up to people close to me and I have to resort to the internet. That is why I am opening up in yt comments section where no one knows my face or name.
Me to man. My mom used to give me pills for my ADHD and now I dont because over time I goten more of a handle of it and dont use it as a excuse for my failure and use it for more of my successes in life
This is why I don’t really mess with any social media besides UA-cam. UA-cam is more about sharing what you made/your skills/your creativity/entertaining people etc, while Twitter is more like a virtual battle royal of conflicting ideas.

Some thing I like to call Social vs Media Social Media. Social SMs you usually talk to people and it’s about socializing in places like forums, while Media SMs are based off of watching a video or looking at an image. That’s why Reddit and Twitter are more toxic then let’s say UA-cam and Instagram

Comfort characters can be practiced healthily, if you distance yourself and understand why you find comfort in them. but it’s the kinning culture and the comfort human beings that I personally believe are the real issue. People are literally formulating their identities and personalities based on other human beings, and I think that’s sad. Both for them, and the people they “kin.” It’s a sign of insecurity, that they don’t know who they are as people.
