Plus, don't trust this guy. He prides himself by using the cheapest materials and still charges a premium for his less than basic standard workmanship. I watched an episode where his son tried to flash an upstand aswell as a pipe with one sheet and it was barely 40/50% stuck. Most telling part was his son kept saying I'll leave the detail to the "master" 😅

Looks like he is using Bergstrom silicone seal. I use rubber membrane cleaner always. Prep is the most important part. Silicone can flake off if not prepped properly.

He is bergstrom LOL, it's his product ! I wish he would be a bit more professional instead of slinging the silicone paint everywhere. He's always in such a rush!
