Bergstrom ind z guards. I bought them... not cheap guards, but, effective! I still need to do regular maintenance and make sure that they are clear especially in the Autumn time
can't get enough of watching these videos!! if Flexible Seal tubes (looks like a silicone consistency) has been used over loose 5/16 roofing screws on a metal roof, can Turbo Poly Seal be used on top of that Flexible Seal or does it need to be grinded off prior to brushing it on? I saw that the Turbo Poly Seal doesn't like silicone but can it adhere to the Flexible seal? Thanks so much and love your content! Buying some bergstroms now online!
Hello, I have a commercial roof similar to what your on in your video. My roof is leaking and I cannot figure out where it is coming from. My thought is that it is coming from where my rooftop hvac units are and then the water is trickling to another spot. What can I do around my units to seal them? What can I do underneath? I figured I should start there. Can you help? Do I need to send pictures? Thank you for your time.
unfortunately I cannot find the Z Filter online - either sold out following your link or on Amazon. Amazon has all the filters that clog LOL maybe they have not seen your video. Seems these filters would not be hard to replicate so maybe I will have to try that. It is the plastic coating that is a challenge for me. Rust will follow if I do not make that happen.
Nope, the strainers work as it should. Although they will need cleaned out at times, as would your "filters" There isn't anything that doesn't need maintenance.
@@FlatRoofDoctor Galvanized plus coating would be good...Sounds silly but I used plaster lathe wire, comes in rolls 6" and fits well into gutters, bend and dome up if needed. Keeps everything out. But that gutter filter is easiest and clog free in most cases.
@@publicmail2 Doesn’t sound silly at all. You’re going to need to clean debris off, still, at least once a year, but the water will still go down the drain, and away from the house. Better than four times a year, or more
@@publicmail2btw, how big are the holes in the lathe? I believe if they are too small the water won’t flow well. One-inch might very well be the best choice between too small and too large
Where do I find blue gutter downspout filter in video. Can’t find it on Amazon.
Excelente video
I've watched all ur sons videos he is a good roofer do u know when his next videos of flat roofs I like he pitches them good

They are sold from a Pennsylvania company called Bergstrom Industries
Same problem. I’m now looking for some one-inch hole, light gauge steel that I could bend to fit
Still waiting for info on where these filter screens are available... 🤔
They are sold at Bergstrom Industries and I put them on my gutters. Z-Gutters. You will still need to do regular maintenance especially fall time
Hi Sir, can I email you a short video of my roof deck? I want to ask you what they put in this 30 yrs ago to make it please? Thank you
Desi
Where do I get them
Only sold by Bergstrom Industries in Pennsylvania. Called Z gutter filter guards

Works well, but if it's vinyl coat steel, it will crack and rust at $12 a piece. Perhaps stainless or aluminum, doesn't say on website, so it's steel.
It's gold painted in blue. You cannot beat that. Just kidding. Very likely just a steel.
It is galvanized 14 gauge steel. It should be ok
