I was a senior Captain for THY in the B777. its a great airline I was there 16 years before they offered me a great retirement package and Boeing offered me my old job back I've instructed in that airplane
Thank you for making your video less than 20 minutes long. There are more and more youtubers who are now doing aviation related content. Videos that are short and sweet make tend to make it to the top of my "Watch Later" list. Longer videos tend to be further down on my list and watched much later when I have time.
Good to know the SAS Lounge trick. Thx! ORD is a lounge wasteland. Once, the late night simultaneous all-cabin turndown service was really awkward, with many passengers standing trying impossibly to stay out of the way. IST lounge amazing, but I was too intimated the first time by the sheer size. I actually like the 777 amount of space if flying with another person. Do you recommend the all-day touristanbul?
In the SAS lounge…we’ll see what happens when they join Skyteam! Likely that’ll be the end of that. I haven’t done an official tour of the city, just because I’ve been there a bunch. It can be a bit overwhelming for a first time visitor, plus the challenge of getting to/from the airport, so I can see the tour being a good option.
I love the Polaris lounges that United has. My first time being in one of them was when I was flying from Barcelona to MSP via IAD and ORD a few weeks ago. Connection experience in IAD was actually much better than some of the other places that I have cleared immigration and customs. I’m still shocked that depending on how many people connect, I can bring drinks greater than 3 oz through transit security there. The Polaris lounges in both IAD and ORD were great. I loved the food, especially the hot cookie served with ice cream. I had to have 2nds or 3rds of it. The Polaris Burger though was ok to say the least. Wasn’t seasoned much. If I can find a good deal either in cash (I paid $850 one way in Polaris for the entire ticket back home btw) or miles, I’ll fly it again.
Turkish should pay their have their plane towed to the United Terminal at ORD so that passengers can access the better UA Polaris lounge there. I know that NH and LH does this.
Did you knwo that turkish eyeshades is the exact same as the united polaris, i have a polaris eyeshades a passenger forgot in a european flight and while comming from colombia my setmate had the tukisheyeshades and I compareit and saw it the exact same one Oh you should be afraid to filme in turkish airlines they say it is possible

Yikes that lounge. Yikes the seating. I am based in Chicago so if I ever head to Istanbul hopefully I'll see something updated.
