Im the kind of person who loves seeing pictures of the finished recipe in a cookbook. I need to see what the finished product looks like! I feel like if there were pictures in this book, it would help tremendously.
Good for Woolie!! (Black Bean Lime Quinoa segment). That soup was insane. This book must be one of those self-published ones where detailed and thorough recipe testing hasn't been done. Self published books are always to be avoided. That said, I am SO GRATEFUL for your review of this one. You guys are good sports for sure.
@@pbwithjeremy Oh sorry, I had read on Goodreads that the company Book Publicity Services was hired to market this book. I'm sure glad you guys did the review.
I’ve probably commented this before, but one thing about my favorite cookbooks is that they have an index that isn’t the name of the dish (or not JUST that), but also has ingredients indexed. Like if I have squash and want to use it, I can search cookbooks by ingredient. Obviously they don’t go down to the salt and pepper, but breakdown the recipe a bit by ingredient in the index to make it more user friendly.
I really appreciate your honesty. I love your wife. I've bought plenty of cookbooks that I never used because they called for crazy ingredients or terrible instructions. Such a waste of money. I really appreciate your reviews you guys are awesome.
Oh my goodness, I've been making my way through all the cook book reviews and came across this video - first to comment, hooray! Love your content, tend to binge watch while doing my home workout. Born in Poland, live in Oxford UK, plant based for years (failed to convince the rest of the household so a bit lonely in my quest, but determined) and waving vigorously. Hi to the Family!!!

I really felt sorry for the family!!! There were so many unlikes. The meal you & Wolly thought up to make sounds good. I would never make any recipes that didnt give us instructions. This book sounds like one Not To Buy!!!God bless you all from grandma Katie in Oregon😊
Great video! The faces made by your family during this video had me rolling! I’m sorry it wasn’t a huge success for the cookbook, but they cannot all be winners. I agree that the illustrations were cute, but people want more than just illustrations they do want pictures and you gotta be clear on those directions.
I love how honest you are about the cookbook reviews- I know you feel bad, but you shouldn't. Anyone could see the points that you made, and if they aren't going to include pictures of the recipe than they need to be really clear in the instructions.
Re: cookies. I make breakfast cookies by mixing mashed bananas with rolled oats and cinnamon and bake them for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. They’re pretty tasteless, but what I do is break them into pieces and mix them with thawed frozen raspberries or strawberries and vanilla yogurt, and behold I have dessert for breakfast! Not too sweet, not bland anymore, just perfect!
I'm with Woolie on the fresh tomatoes. I grow a lot of paste tomatoes for cooking, but fresh tomatoes are a no-go for me - most folks think I'm crazy. Love the haircut. And love your honesty - that's what reviews are all about.

Hi Jeremy and his beautiful family. Another awesome cookbook review and this is the channel for me because I like that Jeremy has adapted the recipes to be more whole plant foods. Love 🥰 the video and love 💓 Jeremy & family.

This video was quite the adventure haha. I will be trying your new fantastic dressing invention tho! And I agree with Woolie...I think you should write a cookbook! 😉
Jeremy, I am not finished watching the video yet, but I have already laughed out loud twice!!! The comment about the dog and Woolley’s hair and I am not serving this soup to human beings!!!😂
Lucy is adorable! I hope it works out for your family to adopt her 🥰 I get to Woolie's level of hangry too. It's not pretty 😅 Your Mexican Quinoa Bowl looks delicious! Thanks for the review and video, Jeremy!
Very entertaining video. I am like Woolie, when using a cookbook, I like to see what the food is supposed to look like. I need the pictures! Also, I really like your hair Woolie! 😊 Very creative making your own recipe on the spot.
Greetings from Manchester, Connecticut! 🎉 I'm with Woolie! Life is better when you live a chocolate filled and flavored life. 😂 Woolie, I think the haircut is cute! And Jeremy... You're not alone. I didn't even know what temperature to roast the veggies in. 😂😂 Oooh snap! I hear you Woolie. 3 garlic cloves and 2 tomatoes! Heck no! Ain't nobody got time for that. 😂😂😂😂 Not when we're hangry.
Thank you to you and the family for taking one for the team. I’ll pass on this cookbook. On a different note - I love lemon curd and I really love lemon curd with gingersnap cookies. Just in case you need something to go with your lemon curd. 😊
J I love love love that you make it Whole Foods and change things. That’s what recipe cooking is. For me it’s a just a guide and I probly only use recipes for ideas and add my own flare. I’m sorry you didn’t like the book but I totally get that it looks like it’s not cook friendly
Firstly, I think Woolie's haircut looks nice. I have had similar cuts in the past. She has beautiful, thick, healthy looking hair! unfortunately, despite my healthy diet, my thin hair genes rule 😩. About the recipes, the cookies look "fine" 😄. I would crumble them up on top of yogurt or nice cream and maybe add fruit, for breakfast., or make a nice cream sandwich with them. That's unfortunate about the ginger soup. I have messed up a couple of times and had to throw out food and it's so disappointing! Your quinoa bowl looks delicious! Rice pudding looks good. I would warm it slightly and probably have it with nice cream, or for breakfast, warmed and add fruit and seeds, as you did. I enjoy mixed temperatures in a meal. The mango salad looks so good! I agree that the quinoa pudding would make a good breakfast, not dessert. Dessert to me is nice cream with some sort of topping or a cookie or a nice cream cookie sandwich. In fairness, I am not a pudding fan, either, like Woolie. For the the lemon curd, what did you put it on? Unfortunately, my library doesn't have a copy for me to see it up close. I always like to borrow the books you review, but it's not available. So, I will be bypassing it too. Thanks for this video! I always enjoy your family. 🧡💜💙💛
Haven’t watched the whole video yet but kinda sad TPL doesn’t have this book to borrow. I’m also someone who loves photos in cookbooks. Great cookbook review. I must say I instantly disliked the cover of the cookbook. It looks like it says PLASTIC. 😂 I cannot wait for your cookbook to come out. Just the way you can save bad recipes is so inspiring. Great work 👍🏼
The cookie recipe is an old recipe that has been around for about 50 years. I works better with quick oats. If I put chocolate chips in the batter my grand kids will eat them.
