diesel sucks and these races are staged
I've slowed it down 1/16 and checked many times. His hads and Matt's car started movement absolutely at the same time😃
Speaking as an M340d owner, I'm loving these videos, even if it does lose everything. It would be awesome to see it up against an Audi S4. They're basically identical on paper...
The only true rival is S4 TDI yep...those diesels are such an great engines
Confirmed! No regrets here... and it has better brakes than a model 3 (with the driver's shoes the wrong way round) :-D @@alexluke84
Get a tune and enjoy 450 hp lmao
@@djkjthe3rd185 haha yeah that's what it needs, more power 😂
@@beardymedic m340d is no joke fast with a tune man. 450hp easy.
13:21 "Remember Kris Kross?" Yeah... Kris Kross'll make you (jump, jump)
Tesla Owner here, there are 2 messages for when you press both pedals, so the tesla didn't have full power.
1 - Motor Power Reduced (Power Reduced)
2 - Motor Power Removed (Back to full power)
Takes a few attempts, but unfortunately the teslas power in the video was limited.
For those who want similar power but no smoke - you can keep the DPF & EGR, and still have about 360bhp in the 335d. I've been running one like that, no issues at all.
mine still has DPF, doesnt smoke and still got better power numbers than this dirty thing... you can often exceed 380HP/800Nm still rocking DPF
Hilarious fellas! Sam is such a trooper for playing along. Great episode!
Doesn't matter if matt jumped. On a motorway, or if the road was longer both BMWs would beat the tesla, EVs have slow top speeds 😂
can't beat that tuned-diesel smokescreen 😆
Matt might as well just start whenever he feels like it. Its farcical 😂😂
matt definitely jumped the start, you can see the tires creep forward before the hands go down. He should do a forfeit now, also why don't they have official race clocks or whatever on a channel as big as this? And I don't even like sam but he is 100% correct.
Poor Sam. Matt ALWAYS jumps but the OOOONE time Sams life depended on it, hes spot on.🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂
Matt jumped as per usual, should rename the channel car wow matt jumps again and again and again.😊
i had a 435d back in the day mine had uprated intercooler and tune that was it and ran 408bhp on dyno, v fast, but no m3 but great daily.
The bmw straight 6 diesel can sound pretty nice with only the turbos muffling the exhaust. They're not too loud either
When the arm is raised You should delay it to make it difficult to guess.
Mat jumps as always. Get a proper tree please and mat will be f'd. He'll be red lighting constantly
I had Unicorn motors do a remap (stage 1 tune) on my 335d and it's got very similar stats. Great to see how it compares
those things are fast stock so with a remap must be class
@@jenson_burrows7881fast if ur racing vauxhalls
It was a JUMP!!! so slightly but the last slow mo was a jump!
70 hp increase on a twin turbo diesel stage 2 is mad low
to be fair, just use portable green lights for the next drag, because they just guess and count the timing with hands movement start. not really time of reaction.
100% Mat jumped, I checked at 0,25 speed you can see the weels started spinning for just fraction of a second at 25% speed.
Hats off to Sam for being a good sport. Mat you got some making up to do....
nah thats just better response time musk fanboy
Is Sam the new Yianni? these 2 are alway's bickering! Mat you did jump, sorry. before Nick started his arms down, you were rolling forward. Sam and Mat have chemistry.
Clear jump.
Why not get a clearer start system?
There is a difference between. Jumping and having an insane reaction time and being just on the bang
@@simin382 Actually not the case in sports like F1, there is a minimum reaction time. If you take off 0.01 after the lights go out then you were just guessing when they'd go out as opposed to reacting to any movement. This channel is entertainment but still frustrating to watch this ridiculous start "system" being used
@@simin382 If he wants to claim “insane reaction time”, they need to ask the hand dropper to pause for a random period so it can’t be done on timing.
Can't beat an early morning carwow upload to start the day.
I actually feel sorry for Rory as he never gets a winning car.....😂
It's about time you guys got some lights! This hands down signal is way to vague.
never gonna happen as Matt would red light so much they'd never get the videos done
Give us a GT3 RS update
No
Yes
Damn, the fumes coming out of that tuned F30. Is that even legal in the UK? Even though to be honest, the coal powerplant that supplied the charging and toxic battery mining of the Tesla also puffed the same smoke LOL.
this is not america. our electricity comes from nuclear, hydro, solar and wind
Matt did jump but he’s kind of like one of those kids who has to be in control of his mates!
Matt and Sam, you guys are just too much fun. Love your videos 😊
Try this with the new model 3 performance when it's released
As much as I love Diesel, without upgrading some engine components, and a full remap, they are just not super crazy fast in comparison to one with a tune.
Yea, like most normal cars
Props to Tesla. They have their cheapest car as a substantial challenger to standout performance cars. What an absolute flex.
As much as I agree with you, this is a Long Range car, not standard range, so isn’t their cheapest car. I’d take the Tesla any day over the other 2 sh1tboxes though.
@@peedeegtwhy would you take the most toxic shitbox over the other 2 shitboxes though. Don’t argue about the toxicity part, EVs are the most toxic to the environment. It’s a fact.
@@Mav86asiansince you don't want to argue, I'll just say your mistaken.
Anyone stood behind the 335d: 😷. Anyone driving the 335d: 😍💨💨
It has 630 nm not 730 stock
This whole episode was about jumping the start and after all that non of you noticed that Tesla jumped on the last drag race... 15:30
Exactly. 18 minutes of yapping and 3 minutes of racing. Ig all the Tesla fanboys won't point out that the Tesla jumped.
"Did Matt jump?", "I need my job" XD
Add a Christmas tree for the drag races at this point, its better to prevent jumping I dont even think Mat does it intentionally he just wants that win haha
The f31 is way more than 1735kg, i have one and its 1840, measured.
Also, you'd get 386 from a stage 1 with no intercooler.
That's a heavy car
I've got a f31 335d to and I ran a 12.7 in soaking wet conditions and with winter tyres on. Then a 12.2 in summer with summer tyres on. Don't how that's managed a 12.7 in dry conditions should be lower
Thats a poorly tuned stage2 335d if it's only 386hp!! Can get that off a remap alone. Surely should be pushing over 400 on stage 2
@@Beans_4_tea easily with a downpipe and intercooler surely
