    I carry appendix, even though many people think it's dangerous, which it can be. I carry it because it is the most comfortable for me, I can discreetly check the gun, I can verify the reholster, I don't have to worry about someone spotting it when I bend over or stretch. If I have to grapple I have full access.

    I don’t think leather OWB “pancake” holsters get enough credit. I carry a Sig P938 in a leather OWB holster made by Winthrop Holsters with my shirt untucked. It’s a small gun so it’s easy to conceal and I find it a lot more comfortable than IWB carry. You can even do it with gym shorts or sweat pants - no belt loops needed.

      It's state specific. One thing is true in every U.S. jurisdiction. Don't answer any questions. People think it can help them to be open and cooperative, but it is virtually always a mistake. .Specifically state that you are exercising your right not to incriminate yourself under the Fifth Amendment, and tell them you want to speak to your lawyer. Don't just say you want to talk to your lawyer, and don't just refuse to answer questions. If you don't invoke your Fifth Amendment rights, they can keep asking questions, and they are trained to trick you into saying something that will hurt you. And you have no idea of the various "helpful" things you can say that will be used against you.

    • @joal2684
      @joal2684 4 роки тому +6

      In addition to exercising your 5th amendment, which bjs301 already mentioned; always remember that firing your weapon at another person should always be your last resort, meaning that your life or that of another person is under “immediate” threat and unless you fire, you or that other person will likely die or suffer life threatening injuries. Don’t fire if the threat is over, if the person no longer poses an immediate threat. Always take cover, don’t fire your weapon if there is a chance any innocent bystanders can get hurt (people behind the person you’re firing at). Know your own limitations (are you a good shot?), don’t attempt any crazy shots, real life is not like tv or the movies, especially shooting a handgun under stress, it is totally different than shooting at a stationary paper target that won’t shoot back. Practice, practice, practice and then practice some more. Read your state’s use of force laws, specifically the use of deadly force. Take private lessons from an good/reputable NRA certified instructor. Go to USCCA and read about insurance, decide if you need it, also read about the dos and don’ts of weapons handling.

    Another reason to conceal carry, whether open carry is available to you or not......it's another level of weapon retention. I worked for an agency which required concealed carry and with practice, you can be smooth and fast. Sooooo many people carry a gun and give NO consideration to weapon retention..... If you carry it, be prepared to retain it at all times and if you draw it, be prepared to use it.

    Hello, just came across this video and was really helpful. I am gonna be getting my first handgun this Tuesday and im currently looking at getting the HK P30, i tried it out at the range and it felt really nice in my hand, didnt feel like i was fighting my hand to position as soon as i grabed it just felt right, i like that its ambi and i like the sights on it as well. Also looking at the Shield Plus for a more compact gun to carry, i dont drive so i do alot of bicycling to get places so i figured both of those would make good carry guns, i do have my certificate to purchase back and i want to get some more range time before i go for my Conceal Carry Permit. I live in St. Paul MN and i looked at teh time of you guys mentioning "if you live in a open carry state" which i do but then listened to some of the drawbacks or doing so which got me thinking inside the waste band may be the best option for me, so my question is do you have any recommendations for a holster that would fit the HK P30 or shield nicely if thats the way i choose to go? Also not sure which version i would go with, so far thinking the standard LEM but i think i saw they make one with alot of safety features as well, not sure if i would like that or not so any advice you could give would be really great, i should mention only been to the shooting range recently for my first time so im literally new to it but according to my brother i shot well for my first time handling a handgun, sorry my question was so long lol. Thxs in advance for some advice!

    The first time I heard your wife speak to be honest I think she's doing a better job than you maybe you should make her an equal partner think about it there aren't any husband and wife UA-cam podcasts out there it won't be long before you get a million plus subscribers🤔🤔🤔
