when everyone tells you it can't be done, you might just be on the right track. if you want to be more successful than 99% of the people, don't do what 99% of the people do. another thing came to mind watching the video, namely great artists romanticizing about the past struggles, how good those times were and i think everyone on this journey should be able to understand what they mean by that. it's not necessarily how much better it was for them then than it is right now, but how they had missed that whole part of the road, because they could only think of getting ahead faster and had a presumtion of how awesome it would be in the future. well... it will get better and better, but you'll always have new goals and new desires, so try not to waste ANY part of your life by longing for something in the future. have dreams, keep setting new goals, but always remember to cherish what you have at the moment, otherwise one day you'll look back and resent yourself for not being present for those experiences.
So well said my dude. So so well said! Thank you!! Fortunately here in the UK it's not often we get below freezing temperatures. There's days where I can't feel my fingers and it's hovering around 0 degrees C though! I made a while "winter busking" video with some tips that aren't just mine but from other buskers who also play in colder temps - maybe it can help a little 🙌😀 ua-cam.com/video/_wvNLYHlYwE/v-deo.htmlsi=9XU8Y9p1FcH0e7sH
I tried the showbox and how and had a lot of people listen to it to my AER compact 60 Everyone thought the AER sounded better . It's $500 more and only 60 watts .
My camera is a Canon M50 with a nice wide angle lens on it. The epic sound when I’m playing is thanks to the Mackie Showbox and it’s built in SD card recorder - game changing 😃🙌🏻 thank you for this!
Good video Ben. You’re very philosophical for a young guy. Take some advice from a 55 yo man. Just keep doing what you’re doing because you’re very good at it. Thanks for the book recommendations.
Thank you for this, I appreciate it! I love getting philosophical, seeing as this video seems to be resonating I think I'll continue to inject it in all the videos! 😃 🙌
I'm curious because I know you are a great guitar player... When you go a bit more advanced on the guitar side, is there an added interest from the audience or are they mostly just interested in chords and vocals?
The people that notice are almost always other guitar players. I get lots of people come over and say “I noticed your guitar playing… I’m a guitarist too” which is always so nice 😃 I think overall it might help a little but in all honesty I play like I do more out of getting carried away 🤣 I love that instrument, maybe more than anything? 🙈
I def agree that one should not procrastinate and get out there.. although i think the other extreme is to go out making numerous mistakes. True busking isnt analyzed the way that a performance on a stage is and one is able to be more liberal yet if someone doesnt know the song efficently and keeps forgetting chord changes etc / missing multiple notes I would say this needs to be got down more before going out. awesome vid, cant believe your lecturers would outwardly say that in class 😂
This is well said. I’m stoked you’ve commented this as it adds a good nuance to the point! 😃🙌🏻 I did actually record a section where I went into a little more detail about this but it didn’t suit the edit very well! 😊

Best advice ever: "Start before you are ready!" It's like Noah Kagan's advice: "Now, not how"....just get started, the rest you will figure out as you go. But it is definitely what separates the people who actually accomplish things from the wannabes
100% - so well said and I love this quote too! 😃 🙌 I always gravitate to people who do rather than people that just talk...! It's a good quality to have but one that is available to anyone!
part of the reason richmen north of richmond took off is that people say it as controversial as its lyrics can easily be read as victim blaming, not certian that's exactly how most artists wanna make their start.
It is very, very generous to push one’s self to perform, busk, and accumulate experiences to amplify the voice! Hero stuff here!
I appreciate it so much! Thank you man! 😀 🙌

I hope you are having a pleasant Easter! Thank you for your advice and content, always happy to watch your journey unfold.
Thank you!! Hope you had a good weekend too! 😃 🙌
You are most welcome. Mine was peaceful and enjoying the nature even with our very beautiful but typical British rain. :D x @@AugustRadioProject
I love this so much❤
Any tips for winter busking in the snow or below freezing?
Thank you!! Fortunately here in the UK it's not often we get below freezing temperatures. There's days where I can't feel my fingers and it's hovering around 0 degrees C though! I made a while "winter busking" video with some tips that aren't just mine but from other buskers who also play in colder temps - maybe it can help a little 🙌😀

@@AugustRadioProjectthanks!
I tried the showbox and how and had a lot of people listen to it to my AER compact 60
Everyone thought the AER sounded better . It's $500 more and only 60 watts
.
I think the best bet is to go with what sounds best to you! 😃🙌
question, how you get the time for filming and editing? jajajaja by the way, incredible video, thanks man.
🤣🤣🤣 I know man! I don’t own a TV and I don’t have any subscriptions to Netflix/Film services either, definitely helps 😃🙌🏻
What camera and audio set up do you use sounds great. You could certainly break into motivational tutoring for sure ❤
Have you checked out the AE R compact sixty amp?
I haven't but I hear good things from folks that use AE R! 😃 🙌
If you haven't heard of them yet, you should check out Teezo Touchdown, he just makes music that is so different, it's just pure making music because he loves it
Thank you Orry! I’ll check him out! Always love a recommendation for music! 😃🙌🏻
I'm only a musician for my kids. One day they will be musicians for everyone. I think it's too late for me...
You’re not using Mackie Showbox??
Yes! This is the Mackie in this video 😃🙌🏻
What reverb do you use?
It’s the in-built reverb on the Mackie Showbox. It’s the ‘small room’ option and I put a little more on the guitar than the vocals 😃🙌🏻
Ren Hi Ren, Anthony Oliver, and next . . Ben of ARP ! !
This is one of my favourite comments ever!! What a list to be included on 😍 😃 🙌
Best advice ever: "Start before you are ready!" It's like Noah Kagan's advice: "Now, not how"....just get started, the rest you will figure out as you go. But it is definitely what separates the people who actually accomplish things from the wannabes
100% - so well said and I love this quote too! 😃 🙌 I always gravitate to people who do rather than people that just talk...! It's a good quality to have but one that is available to anyone!
part of the reason richmen north of richmond took off is that people say it as controversial as its lyrics can easily be read as victim blaming, not certian that's exactly how most artists wanna make their start.
i like Tom Petty. well done!
Me too! What a legend 😃🙌🏻
I blame Trudeau for everything. 😁
The Canadian dude? 🤣
@@AugustRadioProject Yep! 😂
