this is the single best live performance of anything ever. it is unfathomable how they pulled off this whole show.

One night I watched the whole thing. It's pretty amazing and the footage of the spectators leaving is fun. They all witnessed history that night.

Man I’ve been trying to learn all his iconic moves from stop making sense and it’s actually so difficult lol. He is such an incredible performer.

It just makes me so happy watching this. The dancing, everyone’s dancing, the fun nature of the song, and the fact that every musician is just brilliant. Amazing stuff.
The song is pretty grim
I'd say this is supposed to be perceived with less fun and more anxiety. I think the running and movement is supposed to make you think about what groups like the ones mentioned in the song go through / feel.

Add me to the lucky list of those who saw them on this tour. Red Rocks for me. We were up high ish in the crowd. Still have the visual of the band and the many thousands of us all bouncing up and down in rhythm under the night sky. Never danced so long and so hard ever. I don’t even remember being tired we were all so pumped up and joyful.
Such energy, there is nothing like this band literally gave everything and left nothing on the stage, certainly once seen, heard and felt never forgotten ❤❤❤

Guitarist Tina Waymouth is the daughter of 3 star Vice Admiral Ralph Waymouth, a highly decorated Pacific Theatre WWII Naval Aviator.

I saw them on this tour. Summer of 1983. Saratoga Performing Arts Center in upstate New York. One of the best concert experiences ever.
I saw them the same year in Bologna Italy ...on a three to have Better visual was fantastic too

I've seen them in Groningen Netherlands 1978. The ticket price was about 3 or 4$. A great concert

DirecTV debuted a 1080p version of Stop Making Sense about 10 years ago. It rocked. But A24 recently released a 4K version in theaters!
That band is tighter than a gnat's ass.
There is a s***load going on there. All live, no phony-baloney, no backing tracks just a talented and well-rehearsed band kicking some serious ass.

This and The Noise (King Crimson film from ‘82) are the best concert films, hands down.
Byrne is a musician and a visual artist, both at the same time.
This concert/film is incredible.
I do have to say, this is my favorite part of it. So much energy.
Ednah Holt and Lynn Mabry are thrilling.
Very simple - their moves and the outfits - yet somehow so great!
