Now that is something to be proud of. A great grandfather who was a real fit man and dedicated to his job. And a grandfather who fought in the war and returned to gospel preaching on the streets. Wow.

If that were my ancestor, I would definitely want to run part of that route.
I can't run but I feel similarly... I'd want to at least try hiking along the loch... just to get a sense of it. So impressive.

The landscape is so beautiful, I would love to know my Ancestry my grandmother was English my grandfather was Scott and Irish and I would love to know about them .This is so much fun to watch .

We were hoping to travel this part of Scotland this year. Absolutely gorgeous. Have to leave it for a couple years…..sigh. Love Australia.
Apparently scotland has its own route 66 and its supposed to be breathtaking
I want to get famous so that a tv program will do my family history for me.
Same lol. I already do family history but if you did this you’d probably be given actual photos and stuff like letters from them stored in museums and stuff
my ancestors are from the same area of Scotland. The highlands loch ness area. The Frazier clan.
All I can think of when Paul mentioned the McKenzies and you mentioning the “Frazier” clan is my favorite book series “Outlander!” :)

I've thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and other similar treks. To make that Scottish trek day after day after day meant that Donald was a lanky beast.

@Juna Wallace I was imagining Donald McKenzie running that terrain, with his heavy mail sack, in all the rain, wind, sleet and snow. I'm guessing also that he would have regular lodgings along his route. Remarkable history of the Poolewe region.

Wow so exciting to get to know your ancestors. I did actually played with Scottish kids in my birth town Qullissat in western parts of Greenland. But Paul you have never been in Greenland and there is huge mountains and iceberg’s it’s astonishingly
