Just found your channel this past weekend. Young men like you give me faith in our countries future. Hard working family man. A man of faith. Best to you your wife and children
Sir, it’s so encouraging to hear of your faith in God and yes the Bible shows us our need for a Saviour in Jesus Christ our Lord! That’s been my strength for almost 60 years. Blessings to you and your family for today and the future 🙏🙏
What an attitude to have man. I am so glad God has provided such an strong and powerful part of your life. I am not very religious man myself, but i deeply admire the faith and dedication of making the most of what you have, that is not a common gift. I deeply sorrowed to hear about your situation, I truly wish the best for you and as a fellow logger please stay safe, your family needs you. Take care of yourself, My thoughts and and wishes are with you! Brad.
@daveyslogging Im a Christian too with similar issues in our family as well as a Tree guy. Thankful God is in control of all of it!! We win no matter what!
My thoughts and prayers are with you , your wife and family. Thank you for the book recommendation, read up a little on it and ordered it. Thanks for sharing Stay safe
I just watched this one video, so I don't know what state you are in but on my property here in Maine I too have grape vines to contend with. It is amazing how strong they are. I try to, when I find a vine cut it off and ground level and then pull it with the tractor out of the canopy. Some vines are a hundred feet long or more. Sorry to hear of your wife's sickness Cancer sucks as they say. I hope things take a turn for the better soon. Love the Detroit but be sure to wear lots of hearing protection. I ran a truck for 2 years with a 671 in it and that was in 87 and 88. I am now 61 and I attribute most of my hearing loss to that engine.
I’m in NY. Yes you are correct, grape vines are terrible. I’m happy to hear you are managing yours. Thank you for your thoughts. Ear protection is top priority with the equipment I have
My Friend Praying for your Wife and Family. You will make it Thru with God's blessings and prayers. You be Careful out there Felling those Hardwood Maple Trees. Thank you for your kind words Ron. I will be praying for you for full recovery and energy moving forward! Glad you are still here with us today. I will do my best to be as careful as possible. Wish I lived closer to help you out
Thanks for the response Dave, enjoy logging in the snow. I was born and raised in central NY, left at 18 for the Navy have been on the gulf coast of MS ever since, I miss the snow. God bless.
All the best! Stage IIIb lung cancer here 3+ years ago. Removed a lobe, some ribs, chemotherapy, and radiation. I’m still here going strong, but feel guilty at times. I threw an Oregon chain last year and 6 drive links in a row were destroyed. Usually I only deal with burrs on the drivers. That destroyed my confidence in them. Enjoyed!👍
Sometimes it’s easy to feel guilty about our past but you are still here and healthy now. None of us are perfect. Thank the Lord for good health again! I’m glad you are doing good. Glad you enjoyed the video! Have a blessed day
Love the videos man..cable logger from nh for last 20 years . Always wanted to find the time to make videos myself..I run a timber jack 380b . Had a lot of brands timberjack bar far cheapest to own and operate. Keep it up i watch you while I'm warming my skidder up on these cold mornings. Family. Deer hunting. Logging . In that order. I'm sure work ethic runs in your family so you and your wife will beat this 🤞 load light go often

Just a suggestion. Dave D.
I like Stihl chains. They seem to work well so I never bother with anything else. I watched that movie about the prisoner of war. Good movie. I hope your wife makes out ok.

Hello! The logs go the mill and from there, they are turned into boards or shipped off to a different country. I am cutting mostly maple on this job. Some red oak and cherry as well. We greatly appreciate your prayers. And I’m sorry for your loss. I couldn’t imagine. I hope you have a blessed day
Just found your channel a couple days ago great tips on the saws for a beginner like me. I see your wearing all the ppe are those chainsaw pants and if so who makes em.. Keep putting out great videos and where are you cutting.Thx.
My name is John , I sent you the comment about not working alone. I absolutely loved logging , I love the smell of the woods , the landing , sawdust, just everything. In 1979 we purchased a 740 John Deere , 2 wenches on it , I think I fell in love with that machine . Loved running it ,one skid I brought out 21 ton of pulp plus logs .Hard work but enjoyable. So sorry for your wife, as a Bible student , I have learned that Gods Kingdom will soon elimate sickness, death, and sorrow. Revelation 21:3,4 is so encouraging. If you get a chance give it a read.
Thanks for sharing! That’s one heck of a skidder. I appreciate it and will open that up tomorrow morning and give it a read. Hope you have a blessed day!

I can not stand Oregon chains and bars. To me they don't stay sharp long. And they do brake easy. Everytime I get a saw with a Oregon chain and bar. I'll take it off and throw it away. I've had a pretty good day. I went and cut another load of firewood and sold it. I really enjoy watching your videos. There's nothing boring about them
