More Crochet Braid Options & My First Self Made Wig! | BorderHammer

- Hey Guys, Here's another protective style option using Havana Twist hair to crochet braid/crochet hair on a hair net creating your very own wig! I also explain the difference between Havana hair and Marley hair. I had to cut this video in half but I do have a part two answering all the questions I had regarding the first crochet braid install and the creation of this unit I'm wearing. (with full video tutorial)
I think FingerComber.com got it right with this hair, it looks great!
I was going to try another style with this hair but because the construction took so long I just couldn't risk it! Maybe on the next one!

Your hair looks beautiful I have had this hair for 2yrs and never thought to do the crochet style with it I have only worn the hair in Havana twist and have used the same for multiple installs for Havana twist. I love this hair because it can be reused after twisting styles and its light weight.

One tip in dulling out the luster of synthetic hair extensions is patting some baby powder throughout. Gorgeous hair btw :)

You did a great job. I've been afraid to use Marley hair or hair like it. I always use Freetress' Bohemian Curl Braiding hair. Does this hair have rough ends? Do you wash it with ACV pre install? It's super cute

Ok so I am ordering supplies to do this but can you show your braid pattern or if you left any leave out. I'm thinking of alternating between the wig and actual install of crochet. Should I purchase both types of hair (Cuban twist) and this or can this work for both? The goal is to protective style for 3months. Please help

I'm not sure if you're alluding to cuban twist hair as the "other hair." Do you think that finger comber hair is comparable to cuban twist hair? I was thinking about using cuban twist hair for my crochet braids.
I can't speak for anyone else but in my experience, Cuban Twist hair is natural looking but more coarse feeling than any of the hair mentioned in the video...to the point where it can be irritating. If you haven't already, go to the beauty supply and feel it in the pack to see if you're comfortable with it.
