Not a "whole new face!" 😂I totally understand. (I'm 46 also and WEIGHT LIFTING has been the solution to keeping my face [and body] in check). Love this vid.
This is the part young folks fail to see today. There's nothing cute nor flattering about seeing healthy young people laying in a coffin. Aging and having aged is GOD telling me that I've lived through some things, came out of some things and that I still have a lot of living left to do.
I think you’re aging gracefully. I totally get what you’re saying about waking up and looking in the mirror… It’s like you’re still holding it together, but you see a new imperfection here/there… You make peace with it, but then there is something else. I’m 43 and it was the chubby elbows/chubby arms for me😩 I just try to point out the thing I love scout myself physically and internally 😍
@@natukundamarian5330 I agree with you, she's beautiful. I love the honesty. No one really talks about these things, or maybe before our time they didn't have the means to, but I have enjoyed this for sure. Just so that when I experience something similar I'll know that I'm not crazy.
I am 46 too and my goodness aging has been a whole thing. I have gotten a tummy tire or whatever they call it and I used to be curvy and cute. I didn't realize it would be such a transition. I went through a bit of a depression. I recently joined a boxing gym for group fitness and am trying to get back to eating well. I agree with all you said, lotion, oils, moisturizers.
I'm 55 ,and I'm dyeing laughing. my mother in law didn't leave her bedroom without putting her make up on, I thought that was crazy! NOW AT 55,I GET IT!!! Girl wait till menopause hit😂😂
Wow, if you’ve been on here for 13 years that means I’ve been watching you since I was 15. I’m 28 now and asking myself those same questions about “getting older.”
YES! It's not persnickety, it's protecting your peace! My forties ushered me into intentional choices, despite what or who is on the chopping block, and I'm grateful for the freedom. You, Rachelle, are aging like a very fine wine!
I am having to get use to the new face. It looks so different. I am so happy to be alive at 57. I have had so many friends passing. I was trying to get them to be healthy 😪 I just got my knee ache 3 months ago. I haven't been sick in years
Girl you are so on point with the "whole new face"😂 I'm 8 years older than you so I've woken up with SEVERAL new faces. 😂 You're too funny. We have to take it in stride and take the extra time needed to be our best selves. Love your videos.❤
Hey sis so good to see your beautiful face. Aging is something else sis I will be 48 in June and sometimes I can feel it in my body. I will be honest and say this I am truly grateful to be the age I am a grand mother of five and still here. It’s also a beautiful thing to see women like yourself age gracefully and beautifully with me. I’ve been on here for almost 15 years and Girl time flies it seems just like yesterday. You look beautiful sis and always have love you girl
I just turned 40 in March and it’s been hard to accept the fact that youth is slipping away. Getting older is a blessing and all that, it sounds good and is true to an extent, but it’s still hard to let go of what was.
This video is everything I am feeling. I am 47 and I will be 48 July 1st. I noticed the gray hairs coming in and the dark circles under my eyes. I woke up one day and it just appeared. I am just falling apart. I will tell you one thing though, after seeing this I now don't feel so alone anymore. I tried to stop cussing and hell that didn't work. I have two grown son's 23 and 18 oh yeah and my oldest is 62 (husband). My patients is literally gone. I just don't take bull crap anymore. I love your channel. Keep the videos coming!!
Girl, yes …. Getting older is interesting. But- I DO NOT want to go back! I’m a little older than you… and the mindset changes at every stage. Amazing how much you think you know until you reach the next stage… BTW, you are beautiful & you have lovely personality. You are a complete package.
I would love to here the advice that no one wants to hear 💛 I enjoy watching your videos and you still look beautiful and vibrant, you are aging so gratefully.
OMG! You still just as drop dead gorgeous as I remember you, way back in those early days of the natural hair movement. So good to have stumbled back on to your channel. Won't be losing touch again. I've subscribed!
Thank you, my love, for this video. It’s good to see similarities. No one wants to feel like the Lone Ranger. I am 8 years older than you so you can imagine all that I’m going through. I have physical pain(knees and back), emotional pain (more comrades are older so more people are dying), forgetfulness(my granddaughter always says that I forget everything 😂), a ton of gray which I chase with dye, a short tolerance for bull and my heel game is weak(nonexistent). There’s even more too. Luckily, I can laugh at some of this. I must say that I love the wisdom and clarity. All-in-all, I know that aging is a blessing; look at the alternative. I want to see my grandkids go through some of their life, too. Please Lord give me lots of time.🙏🏾
I’ll be 55 this year and sure, my hair is thinner. There are a few more wrinkles but overall I’m pretty good. I don’t have any major health issues and I try to take care of myself. I’m thankful to see each new day because there are so many people my age who are dying every day. Thank you for keeping it real.
It is so good to see you! You’re aging beautifully. It’s not for the weak at heart. Last year in my 50s, I’m more confident and loving myself more and more. I thank God I’m healthy and wise. It’s nice to see you’re embracing your grey hair.
No lies detected in this video. I woke up the day after my 46th birthday and suddenly needed glasses. And this right knee was like, nah sis....not today. P. S. I can attest to this Sista has been youthful in Her appearance since middle school LOL.
The glasses. I can’t see a thing anymore on a screen. Now I sound like my mother…constantly asking if anyone has seen my glasses cause I keep losing them.
Ra, when people ask me why I’m happy, one of the main reasons I give is that I stay away from people I don’t like. If I gotta be uncomfortable when I’m around you, I’m not doing it. I’m peaceful and preserving my peace is mandatory! I’ve felt guilty about separating myself from shifty people, even family. I realized that if I wouldn’t allow the bad behavior from anyone else, being related isn’t a good enough reason for me to put up with it either.
I Laughed So So So Hard. I was actually screaming when you said, 'A whole New fkn Face. I think that happened to me when I was in nursing school. I even forgot my birthday. I blamed it on stress not letting me pay close attention to subtle small changes until one day, after the stress had subsided, I looked closely at myself and didn't look like me. 🤣. This was so funny. No one talks about it, but you know that's how really big people, get that way.
I used to spring up and get right out of bed lol. At 48 I have to allow my mind and body to synergize before I dare hop out of that bed lol. I also have to allow my bones and joints the opportunity to warm up.
Turning 46 and been watching you from the jump! EVERYTHING said was relatable!! I felt that knee/ high heel moment deeply 😫 We are still here tho! I know a few who can't say the same. I needed this one bc I damn sure feel the same!
Sis, thank you for this! I remember finding your channel years ago at the beginning of my career. You were speaking on navigating the office as an AA woman and I subscribed. You gave great advice and talking points then and here we are years later. You are still giving valuable feedback. I didn’t realize that you were in your 30s when I started following you. I’ve hit my 30’s now and I’m encountering things that no one warmed me about. 😂 I thought I was alone. I’m so glad you made this. We’re all in different stages of this aging process. I’m learning to embrace and enjoy the process.
Wow, Rochelle you are something else and I love it! Always keeping it real and that is exactly what we need in the world today!!!! Thank you and God Bless!
The surprises yes!! I turn 37 on the 14th and I got my first face surprise a few months ago! A pretty noticeable wrinkle area on my eyelid (just my right side) I’m like wtf?! Eyelid wrinkles?! Phew that one hit hard! You still look the same to me tho! I’m an OG been following you for 10 years I believe. And yes the wisdom is soo much of a blessing! I love it. More confident, more sure of myself, less concerned with other people, less likely to be influenced by what’s going on around me. I agree with all of this lol.
I’ve been following you for yearssss and you will always be beautiful and youthful to me! Thank you so much for making this video. The naps! You made me feel so much better. I was questioning if something was wrong with me.
When I first got on UA-cam to learn about my hair I saw you and I loved your personality. I'm so happy to see you! Aging is a blessing...the opposite is dying young...I'm happy you're still here that we get to see your beautiful face :)
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was just wondering the other day, "Am I the only one feeling like this?" and here you are answering my questions. You are stunning BTW!
Honey you were spot on with this video lol. So glad your back, once I turned 45 I had that moment of waking up with a whole other face 😂🤣🥲and you ain’t never lied, it’s so real. Thank you for being so transparent and honest and entertaining looking forward to more videos. Blessings to you and the fam from Cali.
Looking beautiful! I really felt you starting at 10:45. When you've been a nice person so long and constantly adjusting in all your relationships, it gets exhausting as you get older. I would constantly analyze myself and try not to be conflicting and holding my emotions in when someone says something disrespectful. But now, I'm slowly allowing myself stand up and it feels good. And you know what, in doing that I'm realizing a message is being sent and THEIR behavior is changing. I'm saddened that I have to do this because it's not how I want to deal with it, but unfortunately, it just seems to be how the world works. When you find someone you don't have to do this with those, that's when the friendship is golden.
Hey Rochelle. Thank you for this video. I'm glad that you're still treating yourself with grace and patience. It really shows. And you still look beautiful as ever. On another tangent, I'm really dying to see your perfume collection. Because i think you have great taste. Of course this is up to your discretion. Have a great day. Thanks for the video again.
Aging is a blessing, and side note you are stunning and still look young ,we will never be as young as we are today so live, laugh and y’all no the rest lol.
Great video! I feel great getting older so far. My friend group and I are all 45 - 48. I can say is that there is a clear line between those of us who are taking care of ourselves with eating mostly healthy and working out and those of us who are not. Not just speaking of just the outside, but how we feel, move, our outlook on life, having a better journey etc. I have gotten more outspoken as I've gotten older. Def. can relate to that! Thank you for sharing.
Hey there! I’m one of the OG subscribers! Loved this vid!! You look PHENOMENAL!! I’m 53 and I started noticing the face change situation this year! Lol Had to get on the collagen powder and hyaluronic acid serum bandwagon! Gotta also amp up the weight training!
Thank you, for sharing your experience. This video was comforting for me as a woman in my early 30s who is starting to notice so many changes in my physical appearance. I have been watching your videos for years and I pray that I age as beautifully as you have.
Great video Rachelle! I am a couple years older than you and my experience is similar to yours. Sometimes my knees don’t cooperate. It has taken some getting used to. Self acceptance and patience has been key for me. Investing in my personal growth and development has also helped. I don’t have the same reservations that I had when I was younger as it relates to voicing my thoughts. If I don’t want to do a thing, I simply don’t do it and I now have *no problem* saying no! I can tell that I am growing and I love who I am becoming! Thanks for posting this video!
I posted your video on a group I started called Ageless Sistas. I told them to give a listen eventhough you’re not exactly there yet (older), and very beautiful (so what are YOU complaining about), you make valid points. We love you. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Hey Girl! Im 51 and been watching you for probably since the beginning. You look good girl. I totally agree. It’s funny. It’s bittersweet. You look amazing. One thing is I’m comfortable about who I am and I guard my peace. It’s all about aging gracefully.
Yeah girl, it's been 12 going on 13 years, I know this coz my daughter is now 12 ☺️. I'm still in awe at how you've kept it so together as I was back then when you first started. I love the wisdom that comes with the process of getting older.
I miss you and your upbeat attitude, your realness, your character, your humor, I mean everything about you that I see. I was just going through all my subscriptions deleting a lot of them and seen yours and remember how you would have me dying laughing years ago and clicked on your most recent video to see what you're up to and sure enough you're talking about something I can relate to and dealing with right now. I will be 50 next month and everything you're talking about hitting home. I thought you was talking about me. I was like wait a minute, she don't know me When you said, you know how you can go to sleep and wake up with a whole new freaking face, I couldn't stop laughing, I'm still laughing typing. Sis, you made my day!
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VIDEO!!! I'll be turning 50 on the 19th of this month and couldn't be MORE HAPPY AND GRATEFUL IF GOD ALLOWS ME TO SEE IT!!! I don't think I've ever been too pressed about aging, but I have DEFINITELY noticed the difference in some things that I see about myself physically, mentally and emotionally. The part about "stumbling" was something that I could DEFINITELY relate to. I've recently learned that I have plantar fasciitis in my feet but when I say it will NOT KEEP ME OUTTA MY HEELS, LISTEN.....IT WILL NOT!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 I also could relate to the need for "naps" and honey let me tell you, I will take them too because I be tired for real. Keep encouraging and sharing yourself and your stories, it's VERY REFRESHING TO SEE HERE ON UA-cam 😊
Missed your videos! My mother and I both like your videos. And you are aging gracefully. Thank you for the honest chit chat. Would you ever do a UA-cam live? You are one of my favorite OG UA-camrs. 😀
Hi Rochelle! Your aging gracefully, beautiful as ever! Great topic, I also thought knee pain and back pain was supposed to happen when you get older not now I've had back surgery and I'm in my forties, never in my life I would have thought that would happen to me. Thought I could do it all. Body ain't what it used to be nomore. Anyway so glad the family is good. Till next time.
I've watched you since I was in my early 20s now I'm in my 30s. You've always been my internet big sister and I was so sad when I no longer saw your videos. Sending ❤
girrrllll yes to all that you said about the changes! mental, emotional, physical. It is shocking at first then when you realize this what its going to be just take in stride. Tolerance gets low the older you get and it's easier to say NO NOT TODAY! You definitely have a better perspective on those older than us and why they acted the way the did lol. All in all I'm grateful to God to be here
😂😂😂😂Love the message. I’m 53 and the only thing I hate about getting older is NOTHING!!! Ok, I’m lying, it’s the damn aches and pains that happens and I’m like”WTH! I did not give you permission to act up body😂😂😂😂”
Queen, I feel everything that you are saying. I have learned to cut folks (delete numbers) off that don't bring peace to my life. I can count my friends on one hand, and that's fine. Love your content 💞

You were one of the first UA-camrs I ever subscribed too. Yearsss ago! You still look Fantastic! 😊
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was just wondering the other day, "Am I the only one feeling like this?" and here you are answering my questions. You are stunning BTW!
Hon- whatever you’re doing is working! I’m the age whisperer and you fooled me. I pegged you at 36/37! You look awesome 👏🏽
Omg you still looks the same. Absolutely stunning. Great video girl.
Hope you and your nearest and dearest are well. Miss you ❤
You’re aging gracefully & beyond measure :-) It's a beauty & a blessing to grow older.
You are very beautiful ! and aging gracefully , I pray for that
Rachelle - GIRL! I MISS YOU - I'm sure WE ALL MISS YOU!!! Please stay active, you KNOW we love us some YOU!!!!
Glad to see you! I haven’t seen ur videos in a while! You are aging well like most of us do!
I also could relate to the need for "naps" and honey let me tell you, I will take them too because I be tired for real.
I love this video🥰 and your energy.
Please come on here with your wisdom/lessons ❤️ I be waiting on you to post , thanks for sharing
Yes... I have been here with you a long time... changed my name a couple times. You are still stunning. Just amazing.
My how time flies I can’t believe I’ve been watching u this long
I’ve been here with you since I was 26 and prego with my son. He’s 13 now. 🥰 I feel everything you mentioned.
Yes! The wake up to a new face! Been rockin with you a while on yt. This video made my day..lol
I've watched you since I was in my early 20s now I'm in my 30s. You've always been my internet big sister and I was so sad when I no longer saw your videos. Sending ❤
girl, YOU ARE MY INSPIRATIIIOOOONNN!!!!!!
girrrllll yes to all that you said about the changes! mental, emotional, physical.
Hey girl hey. I've been with you since the beginning. Old school UA-camr here! You look beautiful and very well kept 😍
Queen, I feel everything that you are saying. I have learned to cut folks (delete numbers) off that don't bring peace to my life. I can count my friends on one hand, and that's fine. Love your content 💞
