Aging is truly a blessing, it's corny but my goal is to live long enough to be a Great Grandmother. I lost my mother young, my child don't have a grandmother, so I am in it for the long haul. And I'm going to do it gracefully.

This is the part young folks fail to see today. There's nothing cute nor flattering about seeing healthy young people laying in a coffin. Aging and having aged is GOD telling me that I've lived through some things, came out of some things and that I still have a lot of living left to do.

I think you’re aging gracefully. I totally get what you’re saying about waking up and looking in the mirror… It’s like you’re still holding it together, but you see a new imperfection here/there… You make peace with it, but then there is something else. I’m 43 and it was the chubby elbows/chubby arms for me😩 I just try to point out the thing I love scout myself physically and internally 😍

Thank you, my love, for this video. It’s good to see similarities. No one wants to feel like the Lone Ranger. I am 8 years older than you so you can imagine all that I’m going through. I have physical pain(knees and back), emotional pain (more comrades are older so more people are dying), forgetfulness(my granddaughter always says that I forget everything 😂), a ton of gray which I chase with dye, a short tolerance for bull and my heel game is weak(nonexistent). There’s even more too. Luckily, I can laugh at some of this. I must say that I love the wisdom and clarity. All-in-all, I know that aging is a blessing; look at the alternative. I want to see my grandkids go through some of their life, too. Please Lord give me lots of time.🙏🏾

Ra, when people ask me why I’m happy, one of the main reasons I give is that I stay away from people I don’t like. If I gotta be uncomfortable when I’m around you, I’m not doing it. I’m peaceful and preserving my peace is mandatory! I’ve felt guilty about separating myself from shifty people, even family. I realized that if I wouldn’t allow the bad behavior from anyone else, being related isn’t a good enough reason for me to put up with it either.

Looking beautiful! I really felt you starting at 10:45. When you've been a nice person so long and constantly adjusting in all your relationships, it gets exhausting as you get older. I would constantly analyze myself and try not to be conflicting and holding my emotions in when someone says something disrespectful. But now, I'm slowly allowing myself stand up and it feels good. And you know what, in doing that I'm realizing a message is being sent and THEIR behavior is changing. I'm saddened that I have to do this because it's not how I want to deal with it, but unfortunately, it just seems to be how the world works. When you find someone you don't have to do this with those, that's when the friendship is golden.

I can say is that there is a clear line between those of us who are taking care of ourselves with eating mostly healthy and working out and those of us who are not. Not just speaking of just the outside, but how we feel, move, our outlook on life, having a better journey etc. I have gotten more outspoken as I've gotten older. Def. can relate to that! Great video Rachelle! I am a couple years older than you and my experience is similar to yours. Sometimes my knees don’t cooperate. It has taken some getting used to. Self acceptance and patience has been key for me. Investing in my personal growth and development has also helped. I don’t have the same reservations that I had when I was younger as it relates to voicing my thoughts. If I don’t want to do a thing, I simply don’t do it and I now have *no problem* saying no! I can tell that I am growing and I love who I am becoming! Thanks for posting this video!

I posted your video on a group I started called Ageless Sistas.
I told them to give a listen eventhough you’re not exactly there yet (older), and very beautiful (so what are YOU complaining about), you make valid points. We love you. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Hey Girl! Im 51 and been watching you for probably since the beginning. You look good girl. I totally agree. It’s funny. It’s bittersweet. You look amazing. One thing is I’m comfortable about who I am and I guard my peace. It’s all about aging gracefully.

Yeah girl, it's been 12 going on 13 years, I know this coz my daughter is now 12 ☺️. I'm still in awe at how you've kept it so together as I was back then when you first started. I love the wisdom that comes with the process of getting older.

I miss you and your upbeat attitude, your realness, your character, your humor, I mean everything about you that I see. I was just going through all my subscriptions deleting a lot of them and seen yours and remember how you would have me dying laughing years ago and clicked on your most recent video to see what you're up to and sure enough you're talking about something I can relate to and dealing with right now. I will be 50 next month and everything you're talking about hitting home. I thought you was talking about me. I was like wait a minute, she don't know me When you said, you know how you can go to sleep and wake up with a whole new freaking face, I couldn't stop laughing, I'm still laughing typing. Sis, you made my day!

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VIDEO!!! I'll be turning 50 on the 19th of this month and couldn't be MORE HAPPY AND GRATEFUL IF GOD ALLOWS ME TO SEE IT!!! I don't think I've ever been too pressed about aging, but I have DEFINITELY noticed the difference in some things that I see about myself physically, mentally and emotionally.
The part about "stumbling" was something that I could DEFINITELY relate to. I've recently learned that I have plantar fasciitis in my feet but when I say it will NOT KEEP ME OUTTA MY HEELS, LISTEN.....IT WILL NOT!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I also could relate to the need for "naps" and honey let me tell you, I will take them too because I be tired for real. Keep encouraging and sharing yourself and your stories, it's VERY REFRESHING TO SEE HERE ON UA-cam 😊

Missed your videos! My mother and I both like your videos. And you are aging gracefully. Thank you for the honest chit chat. Would you ever do a UA-cam live? You are one of my favorite OG UA-camrs. 😀

Hi Rochelle! Your aging gracefully, beautiful as ever! Great topic, I also thought knee pain and back pain was supposed to happen when you get older not now I've had back surgery and I'm in my forties, never in my life I would have thought that would happen to me. Thought I could do it all. Body ain't what it used to be nomore. Anyway so glad the family is good. Till next time.

girrrllll yes to all that you said about the changes! mental, emotional, physical. It is shocking at first then when you realize this what its going to be just take in stride. Tolerance gets low the older you get and it's easier to say NO NOT TODAY! You definitely have a better perspective on those older than us and why they acted the way the did lol. All in all I'm grateful to God to be here

😂😂😂😂Love the message. I’m 53 and the only thing I hate about getting older is NOTHING!!! Ok, I’m lying, it’s the damn aches and pains that happens and I’m like”WTH! I did not give you permission to act up body😂😂😂😂”

Queen, I feel everything that you are saying. I have learned to cut folks (delete numbers) off that don't bring peace to my life. I can count my friends on one hand, and that's fine. Love your content 💞
