With Platinum coming in at a price point of $100, here's to the more affordable Red satisfying and coming in #2!

Nice one dude! Don’t think I’ve ever tried a Johnnie Walker, and they all sound very similar. Good job! 😎🥳🥃

Thanks Johnny. I think 7 is quite a lot to take in within a short period of time. It's surprising how similar some are.

Nice blind Toby. Red is Smokey and not horrible like many say I managed to get the core line up as well. I just need the green to complete it and then I can do my blind. 😁. Cheers 🥃

Thanks Antonio. I was very surprised as that was the first time I'd ever tried it. I think I need to go back and try Black label as a lot of people rate that.

Whisky Shared I think black is nice. I prefer double black. But that’s only because I love peated scotch

I enjoyed this, the way it was delivered and the scenario. A hard task to do them all side by side and you done really well to get most of them right. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

Thanks. I think 7 might be too much in one go!

A hard exercise I have to say, and it always make you learn something when you go blind, Cheers !

Yes, it is hard but It's worth doing even if you get it wrong as it'll make you see every whisky for what it is and not what you THINK it should be.

Tough task picking them all out. You did really well. I've not tried any so I'd be useless. I did a blind taste test on port wood samples someone sent me. Really tough and when your tasting one after the other its easy to confuse tastes. Good job.

It is tough with so many blind. Some are a little similar but some were really distinctive.

Nice. Difficult all together though. Love that reaction.
Can’t believe you love red! 😂

He's not the only one mind you Chris, when the batches are good the Red Label can be a winner imho...perfectly balanced & very sophisticated...with around 35 distilleries involved & stocks from 5 to 12 yo, it enhances very well it's smoky island distilleries components...

i got the impression before making this video that Red Label was universally hated by all whisky drinkers but that seems to be wrong. I think people dismiss it, having never tasted it or because they are whisky snobs.

@@WhiskyShared I'll say it depends who you ask...Last year I did a big report about the brand following a masterclass I had the chance to attend with some rare expressions but also with some purchases of mine & many batches tried since i've started tasting whisky, including batches of the Red from 1962 & 1970-80...Blending whisky & blended malt are categories I'm a lot interested in also as an amateur blender...(...)

😂😂not a bad stab at all mate. You looked properly annoyed by some of them. Personally, having tried 3 or 4 JWs, I still haven't found one I like but, they're incredibly popular so someone likes them. Cheers.

Thanks. I think my preconceptions still clouded my judgement. You're trying to work out which is which based on their individual reputation. It's difficult to be completely objective.

Totally agree mate. It's no bad thing when your nose and palate feed you different information than you expected to get but, as I discovered with a live blind tasting I did on IG, if you blindly rate a whiskey as good, having already put it down publicly as weak and not worth the money (Bushmills Distillery Reserve btw), it can be kinda hard to brush off 😂😂. This is why I appreciate what you are doing so much. It takes balls to issue blind tastings to the public. Kudos 👏👏👏🥃

Thanks. I think everyone should blind taste more. Levels the playing field.
