I've always loved playing the Druid. Recently, I went back to the game, to try out builds I hadn't played back when I was active on Battlenet. One of my best characters on Hardcorewas a Whirlwind+Tornado Druid, since they were practically immune to elemental damage. So I decided to try out an Armageddon druid, this time. It was alright, but the cooldown made it kind of a pain, like I remembered. I mostly used Fissure and Firestorm, even at high levels. Then I learned about a unique maul called Earth Shifter. This is the best way to play an Armageddon Druid. You max Armageddon, max its synergies (except Fissure), max the synergies to Fissure, get some levels in Werewolf, Lycanthropy and Fury, level up Heart of Wolverine, and then you just get gear that boosts your aspd. Armageddon is probably the only elemental spell that can be used in Werewolf form, and with your normal attacks, Fissures are being spawned all over the place with a far shorter cooldown that what you could cast yourself. This actually makes for a fun build and compensates for all the weaknesses that the fire spells had.

Is d4 living up to d2? I'm still debating getting it.
@@akaicedtea6236 It's a completely different game, so you have to go in with zero expectations.
itemization and skills are much more like D3 than D2.
It's a fun game if you're just going to play through campaign and have some open world fun until you reach about lvl 70-80. Then it really drops off, because the endgame doesn't have a lot to offer.
@@akaicedtea6236 For me personally, no, I just cannot get into it, whereas I spent countless hours on D2, there is something about the game loop that is just... off for me and it stops me from feeling engaged/ getting into it. But each to their own, if you think its for you, give it a chance.
Additionally I really dislike how homogenised the skills are, it feels like there is little personal agency in character building, only different variants on resource build / spend.

I gotta say, I was quite skeptical of a lightning Fury javazon, and so far, lightning Fury paired with plague javs to deal with lightning immunes, and a holy freeze merc for the rest, this is semi-destroying the game. I feel the Druid pain, the Sorcs facing immunities and being killed by the souls, the pallies going nuts with many builds, but the one that hurts me most is summonmancer, that one's BRUTAL
