Main lesson: don't get precious about the sounds you first select. Sometimes you have to be ruthless and replace an element you have spent an eternity on!

I often do that with hi hats. I'm tweaking and tweaking for a long time and sometimes over several sessions and when I finally delete the hi hat it feels so good when it's gone.

@@jellycoding export your single track to audio though and keep in your samples for another project. Then at least all the hard work wasn’t all for nothing!👍🏼

Bro, you have cool videos and thank you for your hard work. But it all sounds too simple, entry-level. Forgive me for that, but I've been trying to achieve this sound for years. If you listen to tracks from well-known techno labels, then the sound there is rich, not trivial. What exactly do they do to sound like that? I'm from Russia and I don't have the opportunity to go to a professional studio where they make techno music. Or talk to famous musicians. Maybe you have such an opportunity?

Best way to fix it would be using sounds that you know ... sound like ACTUAL drums. These electronic thumps and snaps sound NOTHING like drums. If you cant afford real drums, at least get a vst that does the same thing, there's many for free, then it will sound better.
