This video changed my view of Lewis. He deserves everything he has and will have in his F1 Career. The real OG starting from the bottom now he's on top.
Very very cool. I remember Autosport magazine doing the end of year summary for 2005 with a section about young drivers to look out for - they picked out Lewis as one to watch so I started keeping half an eye on his career. I’ll never forget his first F1 start for McLaren alongside Alonso in Albert Park - he qualified behind him but made a better start overtaking him into the first corner - a rookie beating the two time world champion and making it look like he had being doing it for years - I felt so proud and have had the privilege of watching virtually his whole F1 career - the highs and the lows and honestly I believe he is the best to ever do it.
The greatest of all time of our generation?.... Err... I know what you mean, but you can't call him the GOAT unless you're saying he's better than Fangio, Clark, Stewart, Moss, Piquet, Prost, Senna etc. The reality is none of them can be categorically, objectively the GOAT.
@@wacki6866 but my issue is with the use of GOAT. That means All Time. So saying GOAT of a Generation is like saying "Greatest of All Time of Our Time". It doesn't make sense. My issue here is not with the idea of Hamilton being the greatest of this generation - I agree. I'm just saying it's an oxymoron to say it the way he said it. GOAT means GOAT. You have to be prepared to argue your case between different generations of sportspeople. Otherwise don't use the acronym GOAT.
I doubt he would do that today. He's really smart to not take risks in order to maximize points at every race. Although the way he rejoined in the GP2 race isn't as risky as it looks because the drivers immediately move to the right for the next corner so he rejoined off the racing line.
Him doing bad in Hungary and coming back that strong the next weekend kinda gave me those Michael Jordan vibes when he says "I took it personal" and proceeds to to demolish everyone the next game

Sir Lewis Hamilton.
Well done, Lewis was the guy who made me start watch F1 again in 2007. Weymouth was blowing up that year :)
Same here, started watching in '07 and no driver has been on his level.
I haven't watched F1 since 2004. Things haven't changed much in these . Sheets are still rigged.
Me too. I had got bored with F1 after Hill won his championship and due to Schumachers shenanigans etc I didn't rate him and lost interest. Then Lewis showed up and I haven't been able to stop watching. He takes me back to the Mansell days.
I've totally missed the Lewis era. : - ) )
Hamilton went on to be 7 times F1 champion and Piquet Jr went on to disgrace himself by crashing on purpose to benefit Alonso. Funny how life turns out.
...I strongly suspect he was pressured into it, and to think Alonso came out of the enquiry unscathed 🤔

Man he's a true 7 time formula 1 racing champion 👏💯🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆, he wasn't even cocky he went form being 18th to finishing in 2nd with a master drive. And the race on Sunday was what kept his haters in shock Lewis Hamilton is a freaking Legend ☝🔥🔥
Tyre management something Lewis is a master at. TBH he has won a couple of races because of that. Lance needs to take some notes.
True. Checo comes a close second in tyre management too.
@@CardizoneSemblance Agreed
I remember watching it that day and thinking this guy is special. 18th to 2nd is insane.
The GOAT of our generation.
@@An_Arbitrary_Miscellany err... he said of our generation? I didnt know fangio and clark were born in hamilton’s generation.

I liked this segment. I heard Lewis talk in a way/tone that you don't often hear from him.
Yeah…he sounds so different here, the tone, mood
his stories about his dad are always such an inspiration man. F1 is so hard to get into without money.

Lol you can tell that he hasn't thought about some of these drivers for 15 years.
"Lopez, Perera, Piccione in the field"
"...Yeah. 😐"
Can’t really blame him when out of those three, Lopez is probably the only one to have great success in international motorsport.
i mean i can't even remember some of my classmates from 3 years ago lol
And that’s a bad thing how?
5:30 even Lewis asks where Glock is.
* Other drivers spin: They wait for a safe moment to get back to the racing line.
* Hamilton spins: Throws the car back in and hopes for the best 😄
Sometimes you just gotta lick it and send it.
I doubt he would do that today. He's really smart to not take risks in order to maximize points at every race. Although the way he rejoined in the GP2 race isn't as risky as it looks because the drivers immediately move to the right for the next corner so he rejoined off the racing line.
He just did this again a couple golf weeks ago
Him doing bad in Hungary and coming back that strong the next weekend kinda gave me those Michael Jordan vibes when he says "I took it personal" and proceeds to to demolish everyone the next game
Lewis: I'm always going to be the one that breaks the latest
Romain: Hold my non existent break paddles
This is the race salty haters need to see! He’s NOT in a Mercedes and oh look...he’s overtaking people and SMASHING it on the grid! Shocking...😱🤣 Did I mention he’s NOT in a Mercedes? Did I? No Mercedes folks! By the way, he won the championship too! 🎤drop!

Truly amazing - watching this back how hard he fought where he came from to where Lewis is now. And he's still pushing! Remarkable and so inspiring. Come on title #8
I just realized my face is sore from smiling throughout this entire video.
Was only like 8 in 2006 and never really watched gp2, watched every f1 race, this was the first gp2 race i watched in its entirity. The first time i heard of Lewis Hamilton
Say what you like about "he only wins because he has the best car". Look what he does when the cars are equal. He's not my favourite driver but man I respect him, he's an absolute magician.

so in a spec series where the cars are the same, he comes back from 18th to 2nd in a few laps? well deserved stand out performance. just like how he does it in f1 these days ;)
Great drive! But his salty haters would say he ‘had the best spec car’!🙄
@@blackgirlsrock264 they are actually saying that because he raced with ART lol Even tho he's the one who requested to have lower downforce during the race
Anyone saying it's the car that's winning things now, needs to look back at things like this to see why he's in that car in the first place. F1 channels need to show more of things like this from all the drivers
THIS VIDEO CAN SLAM ALL THE HATERS AND CAN SHOW THEM THAT HE DESERVES EVERYTHING HE HAS , PURE TALENT !
