Since the first time I heard his voice, I considered his one of the greatest voices ever! Ali Woodson has the respect of all who ever heard/saw him do his thing; I will never forget him. GOD rest his soul and bless his family. Yet, he did what he was put here to do; sing like none other. I pray that those of us who are still here can realize that kind of blessing.
GOD BLESSED ME TO CROSS MUSICAL PATHS WITH OLLIE ALI WOODSON. HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST BLESSED SINGERS THIS COUNTRY HAS KNOWN. WE SANG TOGETHER ON STAGE IN NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND AND I WAS HAPPY I WAS ABLE TO HOLD MY OWN. HE WAS A MUSICAL TASK MASTER AND HE TOOK NO PRISONERS. I HONORED HIM LAST SEMESTER BY REQUIRING MY STUDENTS TO SING "TREAT HER LIKE A LADY." IT WAS A COMPREHENSIVE LESSON IN TONE, PITCH, VOCAL PROWESS, STAGE DYNAMIC AND JUST PURE AFRICAN IN YOUR FACE SINGING. REST..WARRIOR!

Well the cancer came back a 4th time and it took him. His time was very brief on earth but he left us with his soulful voice and music. RIP Ali. Sing your song in Soul Heaven.

I had the pleasure of seeing the Temptations in concert in the summer of 2010, and Otis told the audience that another Temptations had (Ali) passed away. It was sweet seeing the Temptations live, seeing them perform with that unique style and flare, but bitter to learn of Ali Ollie Woodson passing.
@aliquippawill Praise God for Ali's testimony, thank Jesus for using him as a instrument of his mercy, grace and love. This one will go in my favorites.

I saw Ollie Woodson at the Holliday inn in Victoria tx we were staying there where UP Railroad crews played over,the staff of the hotel told us to go to our rooms,we were up stairs playing pool checking out the show,Ollie stopped the show,asked what's going on,he told the staff let them stay,he went into Turn Out The Stars, I cryed, after the show he signed my book,I've always been a Temptations fan from way back
